I have coloured the image with Promarkers & Flexmarkers and used a Nestabilities die to cut it out and a mat from dark blue cardstock.

Using a sketch from Raise The Bar Challenges for the layout I used a sheet of baby blue A4 card for the base and layered some Heidi Swapp for Fiskars spotty paper onto it. The paper ribbon is a cardstock sticker.

The image and mat is mounted onto 3d foam as is the glittered heart chipboard sticker which is from a pound shop set I have had for about 4 years. Finally I have added a chipboard sentiment sticker from DCWV

Daisy Doodles #80 Easter

Welcome to a new challenge over at Daisy Doodles Creative Challenges

Easter

For my card this time I have used a fab image from the store called All Your Eggs………

It comes in JPG, PNG & TIFF formats for $2 but is even more of a bargain at the moment as there is a 50% discount in the store until the end of March to help pay for the vet’s bills for Daisy’s kitty Billy.

Head over to the Daisy Doodles Store to check it out and all the other great digi’s that are available !

I started by printing off a second layer for the bow and cute little chick and then coloured the image in with pastel shades as they suit Easter images so well.

I covered the card blank with the spotty green paper and added a gingham panel. To this I have used my favourite glittery easter egg paper and then added my image, layering ghe decoupage sections with 3d foam.

The sentiment is a die cut which was too wide for my card so I did a bit of creative trimming and used tiny brads in the centre of the flowers to articulate the sections. This is then mounted with 3d foam and et voila the finished article.

Daisy Doodles Sammy The Snowman

As our challenges at Daisy Doodles Creative Challenges are every fortnight on the
2nd week we take the opportunity to make an extra project to showcase
some of the fabulous digis available from the store.

Jules is having a half price sale until the end of March to help pay for the vet’s bills as some horrible person shot her cat. This is a horrible thing to have happened so I do hope that you will help out and grab yourself a bargain at the same time.

This card is using the cute little image Sammy The Snowman. He is available on his own for the bargain price of only 50 cents at the sale price.

You can also opt to buy the completely chocolate free Daisy Doodles Selection Boxes, 4 images for $2 or all 12 images for $5. As with all images you get 3 different formats so you have a multitude of programs you can use them in and they are really fun images to work with.

Head over to the Daisy Doodles Store to check it out and all the other great digi’s that are available !

I am still making Christmas cards, I am so proud of how many I have made this year already and it was quite lovely today to be colouring this little snowman whilst the snowflakes were gently falling on Sunday J

I have used the latest sketch from Christmas Challenges with Sketches for the layout. The base paper is from a Craftwork Cards Goody Bag, the text paper is from a traditional Christmas paper pack and the snowflake paper is wrapping paper from Paperchase and was in my scraps box. The sentiment is recycled from an old Christmas card and the snowflake is a sticker that I have had for donkeys years.

The image is coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. I drew lines on the scarf with a fine tip and added Glamour Dust glitter to the brim of his hat. Sammy is all twinkly now as any respectable snowman should be. The wrapping paper has metallic silver snowflakes on it but I have just realised that they look gold on the bottom due to the reflection from my bright yellow T-shirt. Just goes to show that not only do I use bright colours on my cards but I wear them too J

Daisy Doodles #79 Springtime

Welcome to a new challenge over at Daisy Doodles Creative Challenges

Springtime

For my card I have excelled myself & combined elements from 3 different stamp sets !

I used one of the frames from the Floral Frames set. You get 4 different frames in JPG, PNG & TIFF formats for $3. I have also used one of the images from Flower Pack. This amazing value set has 14 images in 3 formats for only $5 and last but not least I have used the sentiment from Spring has Sprung, in itself a great image of daffodils and costs only $2 with the sentiment. I hope you can see that with these sets they are really versatile and you have so much scope for combining them to produce your own individual look.

Head over to the Daisy Doodles Store to check it out and all the other great digi’s that are available !

I have done well with this card using old and new items and creating a lovely ‘image’ by combining 3 different as stated above. I have created a decoupage by layering the bluebell flower head. The frame was coloured with Promarkers & Flexmarkers and then I created lots of layers as you can see in the image below.

I have used papers from the Spring Drop pad which are all in pastel shades. I used a sketch from Outlawz for the layout. The main background paper I changed the tone of green slightly by using a dry brush loaded with Distress Ink. The top strip of DP I added to an offcut of lilac card so it stood out from the backing paper better and added some faux stitches with a sakura glitter pen. As I had already added the sentiment to the image panel I used a vinyl due cut trim/sticker that I found in Poundland yesterday, adding some gems and pearls to the flower centres.

Following the sketch I added some glittery die cut bee stickers that are in the paper pad and a beautiful butterfly die. I have to confess I have had these dies for a good couple of years and never used them and they are so pretty…… naughty me L

Daisy Doodles #78 Anything Goes

Welcome to a new challenge over at Daisy Doodles Creative Challenges

Anything Goes

For my card I have combined one of the frames from the Floral Frames set. You get 4 different frames in JPG, PNG & TIFF formats for $3. I have also used one of the sentiments from the Li’l Honey set. This amazing value set has 3 images, 3 sentiments and 2 papers for only $3

Head over to the Daisy Doodles Store to check it out and all the other great digi’s that are available !

The frame was printed off with 2 extra layers for the bow and flower so I could layer them up on 3d foam. They have been coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. The sentiment I added with a specific embellishment in mind which is a fabric and metal bee which I have had in my stash for at least 4 years.

I have used one of the papers from the Love Letters First Edition pad, loved the swirls with the flowers, perfect to go with this frame. The embossed panel is from a free embossing folder which came with a magazine recently and the cardstock is Core’dinations that came with it, sanded back with an emery board. I used a sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches for the layout adding a small amount of ribbon which has been recycled from an item of clothing.  I also added a butterfly charm that I have had from The Works for a very long time. Go me for using old supplies J
