Hello

Hello and welcome to a very bright card. I don't normally 'do' green but I am really starting to like using it, even brighter lime greens like this one. Very strange indeed for me.

I've got loads of papers and scraps freebies from magazines and I would like to try and use more in my cards this year. My little craft room is heaving with stuff so other than tools like dies and embossing folders I want try and limit how many papers I buy this year as I really do have an awful lot. I'm sure I'm not going to be the only crafter that says that though.... LOL

Card was made primarily with the Day 307 challenge from 365 Cards where you were to use 5 items 5 times. There are 5 individual papers, 5 chipboard letters, 5 brads, 5 Prima blossoms and 5 bling rhinestones. I used a black inkpad to distress the edge of the squares, the yellow mat and the edge of the card.

I used a Fiskars punch to create a 'ribbon' from paper and then layered a strip of green paper on top before fixing the flower/brad/bling combo in place.

Anyhoo, this card satisfies the following challenges:-

365 Cards Day 130, Colour Create & Unscripted Sketches

This fun card was made using a book of free papers that came with Simply Cards & Papercrafts magazine a couple of months ago and a cute froggy decoupage that came with the issue I got in the post yesterday. 365 Cards had a challenge a couple of days ago to make a humorous card and as soon as I saw the likkle frog yesterday I knew what I was going to do with it.

This card incorporates the following challenges :-
I have used my Martha Stewart doily punch on the outside of the checked paper and the green 'ribbon' strip. The image is 4 layers and the sentiment has been handwritten.

I will be giving this card to my hubby on the 27th July as we celebrate 20 years of being together. I was very lucky at the age of 17 that the 3rd frog that I kissed turned into a prince and I have managed to hold onto him !

365 Day 81, Colour Create, ABC & JC&B

I've been able to make another couple of cards tonight whilst watching the last of this season's Lost, I can't wait for the last season...... I've been an avid fan since the beginning and it will be almost sad to see it end, but glad to get a conclusion to it (whether it will tie all the loose ends up and make sense is another matter entirely though!)

This card uses the latest sketch # 32 at Just Christmas & Birthday Cards. I used this weeks colour theme at Colour Create of Sky Blue, Tan & Ecru and tied it into the ABC Challenge this week which is O - to keep an orderly and balanced design. The sketch is perfect for that and also fulfils todays challenge for Day 81 at 365 Cards to use 5 squares.

The first square is the sky blue card blank. I have cut 4 squares of paper, the script is K & Co and the floral corner is Papermania. The circle is a K & Co paper matted onto a circle of blue card. I have inked the edges with a Tim Holtz distressing pad to grunge it up a bit and tie in the with script paper better. The flowers are an assortment of Primas with pearl buttons and a bit of waxed string knotted through them. I added a bit of Sakura glitter pen to the eyes and head plume of the birdy in the centre.

This isn't my normal style of card as the colours are more subdued than I would normally use. I think the colour pallete challenges at Colour Create will be good to get me experimenting with different colour schemes.
