Thank You Teddy

I love the images from Meljen’s Designs and have quite a few. Melissa is very generous with her freebies and is giving one away every Friday at the moment.

I printed off this cute image Thank You Teddy as I felt that it would suit the sketch which is the challenge on Meljen’s at the moment.

I coloured the image using Promarkers and Flexmarkers adding  a little white gel pen for highlights and Stickles glitter glue in the centre of the flowers. I cut into a circular shape and distressed the edges with a small inkpad.

The card front has been covered with floral paper from the Desert Blooms pad from First Edition. I used a scrap of brown card and treated it to a Fiskars border punch. Finally I used an assortment of paper flowers and gems to create layered flowers.

This was a great image to colour and work with and we all need a thankyou card with a cute teddybear on don’t we?

Materials Used in this Project are as follows:-
Card size – 6” Square
Digi Image – Thank You Teddy from Meljen’s Designs
Paper – Desert Blooms pad from First Edition
Tools – Treading Water punch from Fiskars, Letraset Promarker and Flexmarkers, white gel pen
Embellishments – gems, stickles glitter glue, Prima flowers
Techniques – Punching, distressing

Daisy Doodles #64 Here Comes The Sun (Please!)

Over at Daisy Doodles Creative Challenges we have a new challenge today

Here Comes The Sun

We want to see anything which has the sunshine colours of Orange or Yellow

*********************************************

For my card I have used Ice ‘n’ A Slice which has 2 images and comes in 3 formats for only $3. Head over to the Daisy Doodles Store to check these out and all the other great digi’s that are available !

I coloured the image in varying shades of yellow Promarkers and Flexmarkers adding a very pale blue/grey for the ice cubes. I’ve even stippled a darker yellow on the lemon skin to emulate the dimples on a lemon’s surface. It was a lovely image to colour in and the other one in the set with the bubbles and umbrella is fun.

The pale yellow cardstock has been used for all matting and layering and the patterned paper is from a First Edition pad called Family Ties. I added some small gems to finish off and a sentiment by Meljen Designs which has been die cut and mounted on 3d foam.

Nothing screams summer more than quenching your thirst with a refreshing glass of lemonade and although we are having the most miserable of summers here in the UK in our household we are getting through plenty of lemon squash, we just need the weather to go with it please J

I hope you will pop over to the blog to see the lovely creations on there from the rest of the DT and we look forward to seeing your entries in for our Here Comes The Sun Challenge

I'll see you again next time with another lovely Daisy Doodles design.
