Hello!
I had just finished my card for Runway Inspired Challenge the other day when I saw the Tuesday Trigger for this week over at Moxie Fab World, and I thought I would give the Large Flower Background stamp another run while it was out. :-) I love this stamp so much.
Stamps are Hero Arts Large Flower Background and PTI Pretty Peonies (sentiment). I white embossed and then watercoloured using Inktense pencils (Fuschia, Cadmium Yellow, Bark).
The Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger this week is Magnificent Magnolias. Oh. So. Pretty!!!
I was also inspired by the Hero Arts April Challenge, using both the theme "Just For Her" and the sketch. My card was definitely based on the sketch, but it wandered slightly away in the final product. ;-)
I'm also linking this up to Simon Says Stamp April Showers or Spring Flowers.
Thanks for coming by to visit me!

For Your Inspiration #37
Hello!
For Your Inspiration Challenge is back from holiday! Yippee! We're kicking off the year with a beautiful, placid scene across the water.
I'm not sure where this is. It evokes feelings of Switzerland with the mountains out back and the lake in front. In any case, I'd love to be there! Edit: It's Lake Bled in Slovenija, according to Andreja. :-)
For my card, I couldn't go past the greens and blues with those wispy white clouds.
I used Hero Arts Large Flower Background and Say It All stamps. I white embossed the background onto SU! Pool Party, and then used my Inktense pencils (Sea Blue and Teal Green) to do some selective colouring. The sentiment was white embossed on vellum, to allow the beautiful background image to shine through.
I really like how this turned out. This is the type of card I had in mind when I bought this beautiful background stamp.
The rest of the Design Team have created beautiful cards, as always! Why don't you pay them a visit?

Watercolour Butterflies for Tuesday Trigger
Hello!
Before I begin, just a little advice: Not a good idea to have your glass of wine near your computer or keyboard. Keyboards don't work very well (or at all) after they've been doused in wine... just saying!
I'm now using my husband's ancient, dusty, old keyboard that takes a 100kg of force to press the keys down... but at least I can type, LOL!
So back to regular programming. The Tuesday Trigger this week had me thrilled. This is the beautiful trigger:
Isn't it beautiful?
For my card, I had a play with a few different ideas, and then I decided that I would try to incorporate the dreamy watercolour effect into a more CAS style that is more "me". I'm really happy with this card. I feel like I reflected the trigger but maintained my own style.
The butterflies are watercoloured with Derwent Inktense pencils (Fuschia and Tangerine). I then sprayed them with champagne shimmer mist. I'm not sure you can see that well in these photos. I used PTI Turning a New Leaf in SU! Certainly Celery to create a little background. The sentiment is a mixture of PTI Pretty Peonies and Think Big Favorites #12, stamped in SU! Soft Suede. The card base is PTI Vintage Cream.
This is a close up of those butterflies. I punched the butterflies (using SU! Butterfly punch) before colouring. I like the way the colour soaked into the edges of the cuts. I used watercolour paper for the butterflies.
Thanks for dropping by!

PDCC#113 - Baby Congratulations
Hello!
The Play Date Cafe Challenge this week has the most beautiful sea glass colours as the inspiration. I think these colours rival yellow as my absolute favourite. Unfortunately, I don't have sea glass colours in my ink supplies, a major oversight that I MUST take care of.
This is the colour story:
Yum, don't you think? I am pretty sure I have that top left photo torn out of a Better Homes and Gardens magazine, for future reference for paint colours somewhere in my home. :-)
I have gone for a "blue" theme and hope it fits well enough. One of our cousins has just had a baby boy within the past 24 hours, and this card will be winging its way to him very soon.
My card:
I absolutely adore this card, totally. The frog is one of my favourite images from Jane's Doodles' Garden Friends set. The dies are PTI. The embossing folder is Sizzix, I inked it up before embossing to get the blue stripes. The sentiments are from PTI - Inside and Out: Baby. I coloured the frog using my Inktense pencils.
I hope you like him.
