Hello!
Happy New Year to you all! I hope that 2017 brings you all things wonderful!
I'm starting off the year with a new design team. I've been an admirer of Kylie and Happy Little Stampers for a while now and so when the opportunity came along to join the HLS design team, I threw my hat into the ring. I was absolutely thrilled when Kylie told me she'd selected me!
This month's Watercolour Challenge has an optional twist to use a stencil. I did not use the optional twist this time around, instead creating a freeform watercolour background using lots of water and then adding salt. I created a bit of a grungey look for my background and my date. I quite like how it turned out!
I used HLS Big Bold Numbers stamps, PTI die, and Winsor & Newton Cotman watercolours to create the background.
Thanks so much for coming by to visit me! I hope you join in the watercolour fun with us this month!

CAS-ual Fridays 157 - My very first shaker card!
Hello!
I've never really been a trend follower, and definitely not a trend-setter, and although I've been admiring the shaker card trend FOREVER it has taken me this long to finally sit down and try it for myself!
I was stuck for a birthday card for my nephew when I saw the latest CAS-ual Fridays Challenge was for Shaker Cards, and inspiration struck! Yay!
My biggest challenge for this card was finding a piece of acetate for the front of the card, haha! The rest of it fell together reasonably easily once I worked out what I was doing. I used Happy Little Stampers Big Bold Numbers, Wplus9 star dies, and the stars and sentiment stamps are Hero Arts.
Thanks for visiting!

The card was a hit with my two girls. My nephew, being a 5 year old boy, was more interested in the present than the card. ;-)

Happy Birthday - Doodled Flowers
Hello!
I received some new Happy Little Stampers stamps in the mail yesterday. As I looked at them last night I knew just what I wanted to create first - a birthday card for my little girl's friend. These big numbers are wonderful! And I just love Doodled Flowers!
The colour scheme was chosen by my daughter. The flowers are her friend's favourite colours.:-)
I'm entering this into the Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes challenge. This is an ongoing open challenge where we can show off what we do with HLS stamps. A great place to go when you have a new set that you've been playing with.
Thanks for visiting!
