Hello!
I had a little bit of time today to create a card. Yippee! I created a black and white masked floral arrangement and topped it with a die cut sentiment. I love the simple elegant beauty of the monochromatic colour scheme.
I used Altenew Adore You stamps and PTI die for the sentiment.
I'm entering this into CASology where the theme is CUT - I used a die-cut sentiment.
I'm also entering into Addicted to CAS where the code word is WISH - sentiment is Make a Wish
Thank-you for dropping by to visit!

CASology 191 - Washi
Hello!
I'm joining in with CASology where the theme is washi. I've seen some super cards made using this theme, and I was inspired!
I covered a rectangle of card in washi and then die-cut it. Then it was just a matter of assembling the card, no stamping required! Definitely clean and SIMPLE. :-)
I don't use my washi tape very often and this was a fabulous opportunity to bring it out as the star of the show.
Thanks for coming by to visit me!

You Are Pretty Amazing
Hello!
I'm still in love my with Super Girl and Super Boy. If I didn't think you would get tired of them, I'd use them non-stop for a long time. ;-)
This one I made for my little girl. I offered a card as a reward. She was keen on that idea. She was thrilled with this card. :-)
I used MFT You're Super and Complimentary Greetings along with MFT dies.
I'm entering this into CASology challenge where the theme is SHAPE. I used a circle.
Happy Mother's Day to all of the mothers out there. I had a lovely morning tea with my Mum and Mum-in-law. I made the most AMAZING scones. I pinned them on Pinterest on my "food" board. My family gave me lovely presents. One present was an olloclip for my iPhone (pretty cool!). The best present of all was that my girls cleaned their bedrooms for me - a never-ending battle that I did not have to fight this week. Love those girls!
Thanks for visiting!

Papertrey December Blog Hop - Shine bright!
Hello!
It's been a while since I've entered the Papertrey Ink monthly blog hop, but I happen to be at home today, and I had planned to make some cards, and there was the inspiration just begging to be used! Yay! The challenge this month is to use both silver and gold on a single project. The second challenge was to photograph a shiny silver and gold card, lol!
I used Sparkle & Shine stamps and dies and the dots come from Harvest Berries.
As an aside... I have always been good at keeping all of my stamps, not losing a single one, even the little tiny ones. In the past two weeks I have discovered that I have lost a tiny dot, a tiny heart, and a tiny star! I'm devastated! There is no way I'll find those little ones anywhere in the mess that is our rumpus room. I fear they are lost forever. :-(
I hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas. I certainly did. While I complain no end about the heat and humidity of Summer, I just love our Christmases swimming and having fun in the pool! The kids are happy, we're happy, it's awesome!
Edit to add: I'm joining in at CASology where the cue card is LIGHT.
Thank-you for visiting me. I hope to be back a few times over the next couple of weeks as I have a little time off work, which theoretically will translate into a little extra crafting time, yippee!

Fusion - ombre peony
Hello!
This week has been crazy! Monday night my eldest had the Grade 6 Expo - the kids all presented on an aspect of a different country (100 kids!). My daughter presented on education in Iran. How's that for a topic for a 12 year old to explore? Last night (Wednesday night) my daughter had her Music Extension performance assessment (violin). Tonight she performed solo violin in the Middle School eisteddfod. Tomorrow night (Friday) she sings in the choir. Saturday morning is water polo, as always. Sunday morning, 6am, she leaves for a week-long school camp. I'll be sending her away exhausted. I can't imagine what she'll be like when she arrives home next Friday night! My little girl has only had her usual activities. She's still only 7, so school isn't quite as demanding on her. ;-)
The actual reason for this post is that it is time for another Fusion Challenge! And what a beauty it is! I have only used the inspiration photo, although the sketch is great, too!
Stamps are Jane's Doodles Pretty Peonies and Hero Arts Year Round Sentiments. I did a little ombre colouring with Copics.
One day I want to learn how to make a sugar flower like the one on this cake! It's amazing!
I cannot wait to see the gallery this time around. I love aqua, and I love flowers, and I love white embossing, and this inspiration has it all!
Edit: I'm also joining in at CASology where the theme this week is 'sea'. My card is made using sea colours. Thanks for the suggestion, Kimberly!

Muse 72 and CASology 100
Hello!
One of my favourite, and very neglected, challenges is Muse Card Club. I really wanted to play along last week, but I didn't make it in time. This week, I'm squeezing in at the last minute, but at least I've made it in time!
Another favourite, and neglected, challenge is CASology. Casology is celebrating their 100th challenge with the cue word, CELEBRATE! Congratulations CASology team on reaching this fabulous milestone!
For this card I took Marion's beautiful layout, changed the colours, and voila! A bright pink celebration!
I used Altenew stamps - Hennah Elements and Label Love.
Thank-you for coming by to visit!
See you again soon!

An Apple for the Teacher
Hello!
I'm back! With a simple card that I just love. I cannot begin to explain how happy a really crisp one-layer card makes me feel. :-)
I used PTI Teach and Inspire (apple) and Wonderful Words: Teacher (sentiment). Colours are SU! Poppy Parade and Gumball Green, along with Memento Tuxedo Black.
I know that in the Northern Hemisphere you are all just now back to school, but here in Australia, we are just ending third term and winding up for the last blast before Summer holidays. After Spring break, we only have about 7 weeks left (filled with concerts, exams, and other end-of-school activity). This means I need to start getting organised so that I'm not running around like a mad chook in the last few days of school having forgotten to organise cards and presents for the hoardes of teachers that my girls have, LOL!
I made this card in response to three challenges. This is my first entry over at Curtain Call. I plan to enter many more times in the future. ;-)
I'm also entering CASology, where the theme is Apple.
And last, but not least, CAS-ual Fridays where the theme is also Back To School.
Thank-you for visiting me!

A study in YELLOW
Hello!
If you don't like yellow, you had better switch away now, LOL! I've made a card for CAS(E) This Sketch #32 and CASology #48. It's bright and happy!
I used Daffodil Delight card, Wplus9 star die, PTI Star Prints, Hero Arts Year Round Sentiments, and a little washi.
The sketch is this one:
And the colour came from this cue:
In my last post I was mentioning my daughter's swim meet. The super news is that in all six races she swam personal best times. In one race she took 20 seconds of her previous time (100m freestyle). In another race, her PB time almost won her a medal (missing out by a split second). I'm a very proud Mummy tonight. :-) All of her hard work in the pool is showing results. She is feeling pretty good, too.
Thanks for coming by to visit!

Blooming One Layer!
Hello!
Just a quick one tonight. I'm already past bedtime, and fading fast!
The other day, I was looking at Chrissy Stokes' card, which is super gorgeous, and some vague ideas that had been circulating in my head formed into something concrete. Then I had to wait a day or two before I could make the idea into a card (if only I didn't need to go to work). The card(s) I made didn't live up to my imagination, but I think there is promise in the idea. ;-)
I am entering into CASology Challenge #44
I am entering into A Blog Named Hero Challenge #24
Also Less Is More Challenge #119 where it is one-layer week and we're asked to use a coloured card base.
And last, but not least, One Layer Wednesday #140 where we are making borders.
Four challenges for one simple card. I think that might be a record for me!
Thanks for visiting!

I also made another one, which I had decided was too subtle, but now that I made the bolder one I am switching back and forth with my choice as to which one I like best.

CASology #43 - Hexagons
Hello!
Over at CASology this week the theme is Hexagons. I have so many little hexagons awaiting some love, that I just had to join in. While I was sorting through my hexagons, I thought that perhaps I should donate a pile to the school for use in art projects. I really do have quite a few leftovers from when I've used the hexagon cover plate, LOL!
Thanks for coming by to visit.

I'm still not feeling well, so I'm a bit deficient in banter today. I hope you are all having a marvellous week-end!Thanks for coming by to visit.

Mama Elephant Sketch Challenge #2
Hello!
On this rainy week-end, I am loving a little extra time at the craft desk. Today I bring you my entry to Mama Elephant's Sketch Challenge.
I really love how this card turned out. Using a baby set, I managed to create a card that isn't necessary "baby". :-) It's so soft and pretty! I'm loving Mama Elephant stamps. I have another set on its way to me. If I had the budget, I'd buy all of them!
This is the sketch.
I didnt' even notice until after I loaded this page that I mirrored the colour of the sketch, LOL! I really chose the patterned paper for the pattern, not the colour in particular, I promise!
I'm also popping this one into this week's CAS-ual Fridays - wallpaper. My wallpaper was made using a circle frame, and I love how it turned out.
And last, but not least, CASology - Circle

CASology - RED
Hello!
I'm about to head off to sleep, but I wanted to squeeze just one more card out of the week-end.
CASology #31 has the theme RED this week. I made this card with RED in mind. I couldn't get past red berries, so I made my card with what was in my head. But, I can't help thinking that the CASology team had a little more RED in mind than what I have used on this card, LOL!
Thanks for coming to visit!

Blue Birthday with a tiny bit of embossing!
Hello!
Turns out you CAN whip up another card while dying of heat exhaustion! (Joyce, I'm in Brisbane, Australia, and it is about 35.5C = 98F?). I heard that yesterday Sydney had its hottest day ever at 45C. When it's that hot, it's a different heat. It's DRY. I'm not sure if I prefer our sticky, humid heat or the dry heat... probably neither, I'd rather snow!!
This card started with a lot of embossing, and a little bit of blue. But then it just didn't work, so most of my embossing ended up covered in blue! You can still see the embossing at the top. The whole bottom section of the card is embossed, but I covered it up with die cuts. ;-) Can someone tell me what die will cut the right size star for Papertrey Ink Star Prints? I really don't like hand cutting them!
I used PTI Botanical Silhouettes (sentiment), Star Prints, Background Basics (Circles) stamps. I also used PTI Chevron Stripes dies to emboss and die cut. I hand cut the star. Colours are SU! Bashful Blue and Night of Navy. Card base is PTI Basic White.
This card was made for Addicted to CAS #4 and CASology #27
Thanks for coming to visit!
Now, I might just jump in that pool!

New Baby - a splash of pink
Hello!
This morning I have a new baby card to share, using a splash of pink.
I used Mama Elephant Nursery Deco stamps, PTI Basic White card, SU! Pretty In Pink, Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and a little Blossom Twine.
I am seriously in love with this Mama Elephant stamp set. I can't wait for more babies to arrive so that I can make MORE baby cards, LOL!
This card is for two challenges.
Less Is More challenge #101 - black and white with a splash of colour. It has been so long since I've played along at LIM! It's good to be back. :-)
Simon Says Stamp - new something.
EDIT: I'm adding this as a second entry to CAS-ology #25
Thanks for coming by to visit!

Something New
Hello!
Here I am again! Woo hoo! Still enjoying my crafting time on holidays! :-)
This evening I sat down to create a card that has been hanging around in my head for a few days. Here it is.
I used PTI Snowflake Flurries and Framed Out #3. Colours are Memento Grey Flannel, Stampin' Up Old Olive and Pool Party. Card is PTI Basic White.
I used Papertrey Ink Snowflake Flurries to create this card. As soon as I saw these "snowflakes", this is what I imagined doing with them (layering and creating an explosion of colour). Only I never really saw snowflakes when I saw these stamps, I saw fireworks! Am I the only one? I love them!
This card is in response to three challenges.
CASology Challenge #25 gives us the theme "new". I was going to make a "new baby" card, but then today these gorgeous Snowflake Flurries entered my house and I had to use them immediately!
CARDS Blog Challenge for January brought us the beautiful colour scheme.
CASE Study Challenge #122 gave me the inspiration for the layout from this beautiful card by Windy Robinson. I CASified it quite a bit, but I think you can still see the link to the original. :-)
Thanks for coming by to visit me!

Shimmer, Shine, and Sparkle!
Hello!
This is my second card today.
It was a challenge to photograph, so here is the other angle.
I used PTI Happiest of Holidays, Hero Arts Envelope Pattern Background, and Hero Arts Collage Music Background. Colours are PTI Fresh Linen and SU! Soft Suede. I used Silver paper for the sentiment frame. There are pearls and rhinestones all over, and the card itself sparkles with glimmer mist (although you can't see that in the photos). That beautiful button is SU! The ribbon is from my stash.
This card is in response to three challenges.
Tuesday Trigger this week is: Shimmer and Shine. My silver frame is that tray, and I've added gold, silver, rhinestones, and pearls.
CASology is SPARKLE
and CASE Study #120 is this gorgeous card by Windy Robinson. I used the central die cut and the bow and the symmetrical layout.
Okay, now I'm off to do the ballet preparations!
Thanks for visiting.

Some ultra-CAS cards
Hello!
Now we move to my ultra-CAS cards I made today.
First is a birthday card that I made for one of my daughter's young friends (a boy, so no sparkles or flowers allowed). The simplicity of this card delights me... am I allowed to say that about my own card? ;-)
For colour inspiration I turned to the Dynamic Duos colour choice for this week. I didn't have Tangerine Tango, so I used Pumpkin Pie. The stamps are Hero Arts - Bicycle and Say It All.
And I just realised that I have fit into the theme over at A Blog Named Hero this week as well, yay!
The other card I made was more experimenting with PTI Teach & Inspire. I'm thinking this might do for one of my littlest girl's kindy teachers at the end of the year. They're doing marvellous work with my little acorn. :-)
I used Early Espresso, More Mustard, and Really Rust on a Vintage Cream card base.
Inspiration came from CAS-ology #14 theme - LEAF.
Thanks for dropping by!
