Muse in Vienna- November 19th 2012

Some of you might know that I’m a huge fan of the band Muse. Fun fact: I named my blog after the pun “We are very amused” :).
So on November 19th they stopped by in Vienna and I was counting down the days on twitter before (not to mention the actual day ;) )*winks at Godfrina, Valerie and Caro* . I had a blast there and I think the lady standing next to me must’ve think I was crazy as I was singing along to all of the songs they performed :D.
I did took a few pictures at the gig but only a few were presentable and not blurry as hell. Also I did take a few videos but the quality/sound isn’t as good as I would like it, so I’ll spare you the horror of listening and watching them ;)

Herere’s the manicure I wore during the concert:
On my left thumb I painted on a mustache for Movember (the bassist, Chris Wolstenholme and Tom Kirk are participating). I stamped on the letters “Muse” with the Konad plates M17& M18 on my other fingers and put on a custom nail decal with their band logo on my right thumb. The base polish is Illamasqua Muse.

Happy Birthday Matthew Bellamy

Hey there:)

Some of you might know that I'm a huge fan of the band Muse. I've been a fan of them for a couple of years now (before the Twilight-hype) and today's the frontmans birthday and I decided to do a little inspired manicure in honor of his birthday. As an inspiration I used the cover of their second album, Origin of Symmetry.
The background is a page of NME's special issue- dedicated to Muse in over 100 pages.

I used China Glaze 2nite and a 2 way nail art pen for painting the antennas

Nubar Violet Spakle Part 2, a matching purse and background music (pic heavy)

Hey there :)

Violet sparkle wore like iron to me (the 4th day and no/almost invisible tipwear, only the "growing" out line near the cuticles)- their Diamont topcoat is really awesome considering all the layers I used and the two additional two coats of diamont.
I've already showed you some swatches of Violet Sparkle and went shopping today and found a matching purse at Claire's to go with- yes, you can say that they are dupes/duplicates (is there another word for it? if yes, drop it in the comments) in colour. And the best thing was: they had a -15% off everything (well, almost everything- they didn't counted the clearance things). Anyway- they also had a black version of the purse and I couldn't choose which one to buy so I bought both ^^. The black one reminded me of a Franken I made quite a while ago- which reminds me to wear my frankens more often, but that's another story.

Let's move on to the pictures:
See? a perfect match ^^
I also played a bit with the light-settings of my camera and those are the results:
See how blingy the black one is? :D
If you click on the pic you can see the light-blue glitter
And here one where you can see the magenta glitter in the purple purse.

That's the first time I've bought something polish-related and I'm really happy with both purses and can't wait to find/buy other things which are polish-related where it's not expected to.

If you've made it till here you've probably wondered why I've written backround music in the topic title: while I' writing this post I was listening to Invincible by Muse and thought to share it with you because I simply love the band and can't wait for them to come to Austria :). (It's one of their more romatic, pop songs and better skip it if you'd like but I love the video which reminds me a lot of  the ride "It's a small World" in Disney Land)

Muse's role changed

I've just seen this Video and thought to share it with you guys: It was taken from an italian TV channel and shows my favourite Band Muse changeing their "roles", the actuall Singer, Matt Bellamy on the Drums, the Bassist playing guitar and the Drummer as the "Singer" and Bass player. I love this video and the Moderator doesn't even know that her performers even changed their position they actually play with- that happens when you force(?) a live-kicking Band into playing their songs playback:
