The beginning...

Oh dear, I have tonnes of story and pictures to share...my Raya stories, my buka sekolah story, etc, etc..sadly, that would have to wait because since the day school reopened after the fortnight holiday, I was preparing for the last minute English Week. Learned a lesson that no matter how last minute it's going to be, planning is highly essential. Well, I learned it a bit too late...or maybe that wasn't the lesson. I guess, I should have more fore sight when it comes to matters like last-minute managing. Nonetheless, thank God that my colleagues are so cooperative (or maybe they hide their grumblings well hehe...but so far, everyone agreed to do my bidding....yui.)

I'm also excited for this programme because it will showcase the talents of my 1 Inovatif class. They will stage a drama called Journey to the Centre of the Earth. I've done drama-based activities in classes but this will be their maiden drama production. They even have a director! Will tell and share the pics as well...soon. :-)

After this three day programme ends, I'm going to start with the exam papers. Finals are around the corner..can't believed that I've been in my school for almost a year. :-) Then, I'm going to apply for a day off...banyak lagi baki cuti sia..hehehe

Till then, I will upload my Raya photoshoot photos, tell the stories of last week happenings and many more...well, when the buzz nearly ends. Have a pleasant week ahead :-)

Dad and Licik's accident.

I came home to KK today with a rather sad note. I called up my dad that afternoon to tell him that I'm coming home, when I asked him his whereabouts, he said he's at a workshop. I asked why, and he replied, "Si Kancil kena langgar."

I was surprised at first but judging at my dad's relaxed tone, I relaxed as well. Maybe it was just a teeny "dimple", so I thought.

Sekali....

Thank God Dad was okay...patutlah tu beliau diam-diam ja time sia pulang. Traumatise kali masih...sian bapa :-(
For your information, Licik was hit by a motorcycle. Unfortunately, the rider broke his leg. So, I asked dad what actually happened. He said he was at the U-turn near the Petagas traffic light that night. He was waiting for his turn to do a U-turn. As he saw that the road was "clear", he made his way out. Then suddenly, BAMMM!! Crash!!!Bang!!!

He said he didn't see the motorcycle coming towards his direction. Luckily, after he visited the motorcyclist at the hospital, the motorcyclist also said that even though he saw my dad made his way out, he underestimated his speed at that time and tried to make it despite seeing him coming out from the U-turn bend. And thank God as well that the person would be okay.

But poor Dad. Poor Licik. I hope they both would recover from the trauma soon.

Girly Day Out!

Had a lovely girly-girly gathering with some of my former classmates and friends, Alicia, Mei Ling and Lubi. We headed to 1Borneo and basically do some (window)shopping, albeit Mei Ling bought two pairs of HOT, HOT shoes. I wanted to get a pair of espadrilles but alas, I can't find one that suit my budget..uhu. Nonetheless, I think all of us bought at least something :-D I bought another Julia Quinn novel and I think I can open a mini library now! Oh, we also played archery and pretend we were Legolas :p Alicia and Lubi made that "arghh" noise upon seeing this weird monster-like soft toy, then broke into thunderous laughter! Hilarious!

Having this gathering with them seems like the old days, back when we were still clueless trainees, except that I couldn't help but reminisce about how we used to be. Back in 2002, I was not even close with any of them but now, we're trading secrets, sharing stories and just being up-to-date with latest gossips and issues. Yes, we do talk about the current economic and political situations concerning our positions as educators; yes, the serious stuffs. I cherish that do-you-remember-whens stories and Lubi, if you are reading this, I miss that loud, joyous laughter of yours that everytime I laughed aloud, I would think of you!! Hahaha..mushy much!

Once a former classmate wrote that we can't expect our old friends to remain the same because of new commitments, new circle of friends, new surroundings, etc. I agree to a certain degree that yes, it would not be the same because of change. Everyone changes and we all have to accept that. BUT, we could still hangout like the old times. There could be that awkward silences, the oh-I-did-not-know-about-that stories, etc but that to me, is part and parcel of growing up and of embracing change. You just have to make an effort. You have to pick up the phone and call just to say hi. You have to send that text message, to tell your friends "Hey, let's meet up somewhere and have Chinese tea ping/ teh tarik/ tiga sepuluh/YoYo". You have to make the step to close that barrier.

Well, yeah...it's a whole lot of legwork (or fingerwork...okay, work!) but you wouldn't want to be friends with lazy people, would you? Plus, laziness is not a good quality of a friend anyway. I guess, when a friend makes that effort, it shows that he or she really treasures and values your friendship.

For that girls, no matter how "geli" it sounds, I love spending time with all of you...even if it was just over a glass of chinese teh ping.

Woohooo!!!

CUTI!!!!! YEAYYYYYY!!!!!

Gosh, I really need this holiday to unwind myself and to just chill out. It's been a while since I last "properly" hang out with my friends. I need to catch up with the girls!! I miss them so much!!
I'm looking forward for Hari Raya as well because Alicia is coming to Keningau to celebrate. Yeay!!
I got tonnes of books to catch up as well...my Julia Quinn collection just gets more extensive and it's a waste if I do not read it. By the way, I'm starting a blog about books, so you who are book lovers or lovers of books, do come and visit at www.shelvescribe.blogspot.com. There are half a dozen more books to finish reading and review...gosh, I'm going book crazy!

All in all, have a great weekend!!
