A Walk Down Memory Lane

I don't know why suddenly I felt so nostalgic. Without thinking too long, I took out my CD case and took out a CD. Scribbled on it is the faded word "Midsummer". I slipped it inside my laptop's cd player and let it take me back to April 2003...

Among the audience who came...masa ni lum full lagi dewan. That nite, sampai di siring2 dewan pun dorang mo duduk.
This is me about to sing...hehehe...nda bah...I was the MC that nite. Man, I was so nervous sampai cakap pun ter-ah-ah...(kurus oh sia dulu)

Ejam as the mischievious little goblin named Puck. He did an excellent job and until now, my mum (who attended the first production) called him Puck whenever she was referring to Ejam hahah...

Pian as the handsome "Lysander" and Daphne as "Hermia". This is the only production where Pian sang and his song for this production was "Beautiful Woman".
Eric as King Oberon and Ejam as Puck. Eric's character was the only character to have a "walking" soundtrack...hehehe...

The 5 lovable characters: Hafiz (Bottom), AnnieMing (Starveling), Marlina (Quince), Lubi (Snug) and Fuwa (Flute) singing "The More We Get Together". Watching them is Felly as Helena.
Si Felly menyanyi lagu solo. Her song was the most difficult one because of the high notes heheh. And so far, based on audience's feedback her song is most favourite after "Beautiful Woman" and "Fiend of Mine"

Ahhhh...the fairies...Si Alicia, Si Mei Ling, Si Tracy and Mary...ohya, Titania (the beautiful, Lenny) is sleeping. The fairies ni pun ada lagu dorang sendiri tau..

These three scenes were the audiences' fave based on the decible of laughters and oh-ahs received. When we turned on the volume on the CD, all of us could hear someone cried out "OH NO!!" when Puck was putting the potion on Lysander's eyes. The audience also loved the fact that Helena and Demetrius (Christ Ronny) ended up together.
Ini during gaduh. Time gaduh pun dorang ada lagu tau...the title "Friend of Mine".

King Oberon was jealous of Bottom with Titania.

The final duet between Felly and Christ. They practised hard and nailed it!!

The Finale!!!
Our band boys who practised every night with us and even helped out in keeping the all the equipment back to the music room. Aren't they cute with their uniformed T-shirts?

The role call and the end of an era. I can't believe it's been six years since. All I can say is...

"Kurus-kurus pula kita semua dulu....."

If I, Cynta had offended,

A Sad Start for CSI Season 9 - For Warrick

I'm Gonna Miss You, CSI Brown!!

I still can't believe that Warrick is gone. Why did the producers had to kill his character? Does this signal the beginning of the end for CSI Las Vegas?

Season 9 starts with Warrick dying from gunshot wounds. I like the part when Grissom held him in his arms and here, I see Grissom's soft side. Aww...it brought tears to my eyes (apart from the fact that the hormones are attacking thus the emotional sensitivity). I'm not good in retelling stories but all I can say is "I'll miss Warrick very much." Boohoo...


A downer about the episode though. It lacks the anticipation and the suspense like the previous seasons. I just can't believe that the Undersherif can be so stupid and so "easy". And Dr. Robbins did not do his trademark autopsy report like he usually did. Nonetheless, I love him just the same hahaha.

Will Season 9 be boring?

Hope Not!

I remember back when it was just Season One. I just cannot miss CSI!! However, when I was in uni, my CSI craze was subdued due to the fact that I just can't hog the TV at the hostel. But once I got back in KK, the craze starts again! Wow, CSI has been my Wednesday night's favourite next to That 70s Show and Friends. I just hope it would not bore me cos CSI Las Vegas is just not CSI Las Vegas without the original cast!!

What a day today...another hectic schedule for me, but nonetheless, ada juga yang bikin hati sia gumbira. hehe.

Begini bah ceritanya...

Today I was teaching Robinson Crusoe to my Form 2 X. In order to get their attention to setting, I decided to start with a quiz to heat up the engine and kick it into gear. Sia tanya lah soalan berikut kepada murid2 ku:

Teacher: Okay, group 2! Name me the place where Robinson Crusoe build his summer home?

Murid : Cegu, kami nda paham apa cegu cakap! Cuba kasi melayunya bah...

Teacher : Duii (dalam hati)...okay, bagitau teacher...dimana si Robinson buat rumah bikin panas nya?

Murid terdiam seketika....

Murid (yg berani menanya) : Rumah bikin panas nya, cegu?

Teacher: EH???!!!! BUKAN!!!! Rumah Musim Panas....hehehe....

The Sugar Coated Teacher Talk

This morning our school had its report card day. Well, I don't find anything funny about this particular day although I do admit that I am a bit excited for this day.

Today, I made my maiden voyage to report card giving.

As I sat on my place at the class I was assigned to (you see, I was the former teacher of Form One ****) I was thinking of making a quick distribution to the parents and just say whatever was needed to be said. So, in came the parents and below is one of the common scenario.

"Selamat pagi, cekgu..."
I smiled and replied their greeting. I gave her her son's result slip. Her eyes intendly studying the son's result. As she was doing this, the son smiled sheepishly at me.

"Banyak E-nya cekgu...Inilah si anu ni, pemalas...bukannya belajar!! Bermain saja dia di rumah ini! Buduh bah anak sia ni cekgu..."

"Kak, sebenarnya anak kakak ni nda buduh (well, although I do agree with her statement...) dia mungkin nda faham ka...malu dia mo bertanya sama gurunya ni...(what? shud I say "Ya, anak anda memang buduh, terima la kenyataan)"

Memang sugar coated. I am not really good with my BM...terblur sikit some parents when I terspeaking.

Here's another one:
"Encik, anak Encik ni memang nakal dalam kelas. Saya dan guru2 lain suda berabis kasi nasihat, namun..."

PANG!!

Well, there goes the son.

"Sabar, encik...sabar..."

"Inilah ko ni!!! Bapa antar pi sikolah mo kasi pandai ko. Tapi ko escape pula!! Panat cigu2 ko ni mo mengajar...bla...bla..bla..."

I wished I could say, "Sir, I have three other parents waiting for me...can you have this lecture at home instead?"

The Big Move

As I landed on Lahad Datu soil this morning, I felt a sense of anticipation and excitement because..

WE'RE MOVING TO A NEW CRIB!!!

I love my new room...finally I can call a room of my own, no sharing...all mine!! hehehe

Here's a peek at some parts of the house and my room...

This is what I call "ample" wardrobe. Really adore the built in vanity table.

My bed. Duh.
I know...it's so pink and so girlish and so...pink (I did say 'pink' right?). I just can't find one decent queen size bedsheet that fits my budget and my taste. I got this one on promo in Servay (go check Servay Putatan...the promo is still on). This girly-girly bedsheet is just what I need to perk up my entire "white" bedroom. Plus, I can "guling-guling" to my heart's content without jeopardising anyone's safety.


Wait till you see My study area! Will upload more pics soon...after I finished settling down! hehe
Back at the old house, we all had to cramp at the dining table to do our RPHs, etc, etc. But now, since we all have our own rooms, everything can be done at the comfort of ones own bed.
Ah, bliss...I can pray, study, read, meditate, dance, etc, without annoying anyone.

What's the cost of all these?

A whopping RM300 (bills are not included)!!

Well, I think it's reasonable enough cos my bedroom is air-conditioned, fully-furnished and BEAUTIFUL!!!

THo' this means I have to work my BUTT off to pay the bills...
