Krafty Snowman
It's another Saturday at Sugar Creek Hollow and that means a new challenge. This week we want to see vintage or shabby chic cards or other paper-crafted projects featuring KRAFT.
I am on a mission to get all my Christmas cards done by the end of November so this week I have made a shabby sort of primitive card to add to the stash. Now I have 16 cards, which means only 14 or so to go. The chances of meeting my timeline are slim to none because I have a horrible cold and do not feel like crafting - or doing anything else for that matter. I know - oh woe is me :)
I am going to enter this card in the following challenges:
Crafts and Me - Non Traditional Christmas Colours
Just Keep On Creating - Christmas Is Just Around The Corner
Little Red Wagon - Texturize It
Penny's Paper Crafty - Anything Goes
Craft Room Challenge - Punches & Die Cuts
Crafty Bloggers Network - Christmas Anything Goes
Forever Friends - Ribbon/Twine
The Pink Elephant Challenge - Punches & Dies
Christmas Card Challenges - Snowmen

Country Gal
It is time for a new challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow and this week we want you to make vintage, shabby chic or primitive cards with DIE CUTS OR PUNCHES. You can use one or the other or even both, if you wish.
This week we are pleased to welcome a new sponsor, Sassy Cheryl who will be providing one random winner with a $5 gift certificate to her store.
I love Sassy Cheryl's images and was anxious to play with this one called Country Gal but was saddened to discover that it had been retired. Cheryl is a wonderful gal and has agreed to re-activate it just for one week during the challenge so if you want to play with her too, pop over to Sassy Cheryl's store and snag her while you can. You can find her here.
My card has a bit of a split personality this week and can't decide if it is vintage or primitive but I think the more primitive inspired papers and the twill tape suits her.
I am going to enter this card in the following challenges:
Sassy Cheryl's - Anything Goes
Divas by Design - Charms
Sweet Stamps - Vintage or Shabby Chic
The Stamping Boutique - Distressing
Top Tip Tuesday - Spotty Dotty
Crafty Purple Frog - Let's Get Distressed
Crop Stop - Bows and Buttons
Dutch Dare Card Challenges - Buttons & Bows
Pixie Dust Studio - Ribbon
Fairy Fun Fridays - Anything Goes

Papers: Plaid & Blue (Raspberry Road - online freebie), Red with White Dot (Molly & Max - online freebie)

Primitive Christmas Angel
We have another great challenge for you at Sugar Creek Hollow. This week we want your vintage, shabby chic or primitive cards to have lots of LAYERS.
We would like to welcome a wonderful new sponsor, Robyn's Fetish, who is generously providing 5 digis from her store to one random winner. The random winner will also receive a winner's badge from Sugar Creek Hollow.
The Design Team will choose one entry as their Top Pick and the creator of that card will receive a winner's badge to display and will be in the running for a monthly Guest Designer spot to be chosen after the last March challenge.
Our designers have created some fun primitive cards for your inspiration this week using images from our lovely sponsor. For the details, just click on their name and you will be taken directly to their blog.
I took this sweet angel from Robyn's Fetish and made a primitive Christmas card. If you haven't tried primitive cards before, don't let the style intimidate you. When I decided to give it a try, I used Google to search for primitive Cards and what I found were simple images and embellishments on cards with a bit of a country feel. Now if I can create primitive, I know you can so I hope you will join us.
I am going to enter this card in the following challenges:
Crafty Sentiments - Things with Wings
Crafty Boots - Glitter
Crimbo Crackers - Cute (must be Christmas)
Dilly Beans - Stars
Ditzy Craftymess - Buttons or Anything Goes
Frosted Designs - Things with Wings
The Poodles Parlour - Anything Goes
Stamping with the Dragon - Things with Wings
Winter Wonderland - Fairy or Angel (must be Christmas)

Tools & Embellishments: Iridescent Glitter (Stampendous), Baker's Twine, Buttons & Burlap (My Stash), Frayed Burlap Distress Ink (Ranger), Star Punch (Dollarama), Scallop Edge (Hand Cut)

Primitive Christmas
It is Saturday and that means a new challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow. We have an easy one this week because it's all about STRIPES AND SPOTS. We want to see both on your beautiful vintage, shabby chic or primitive card or other paper-crafted project.
We will be choosing one random winner who will receive a digi of our choice and a winner's badge to display. The Design Team will choose one project as Card of the Week and the creator will receive a badge and will be in the running for a Guest Designer spot.
As if two prizes aren't enough, don't forget that we have Christmas Blog Candy for one lucky winner to be chosen from our challenge entries between now and Christmas Eve. Just follow the challenge theme and the rules on the sidebar to submit up to 3 entries each week.
Our Design Team have created some fabulous projects this week that will be sure to inspire you. Joining them is our Guest Designer, AUDHILD, who was chosen from the September Cards of the Week. To get details of any of their projects just click on their name and you will be taken directly to their blog.
I took a stab at making a primitive card this week and I hope you like the result. The image and the papers were freebies that I discovered online and the wonderful birch strip is one of my finds at a florist wholesale shop in England. The burlap came from my sewing cabinet but don't ask me why I had it. I love the non-traditional colours - Christmas can be orange and brown - although when it comes to my tree decorations and other decor, they are as traditional as can be with lots of red and gold.
I am going to enter this card in the following challenges:
Meljens Designs - Orange and/or Brown
Paper Pretties - Buttons
Digital Tuesday - Anything Goes (must include a digi)
Top Tip Tuesday - Anything Christmas Goes

Card Stock: Kraft (Recollections)
Papers: Cuddlebeez
Colouring Medium: Pencil Crayons (Prismacolors) with OMS (Gotrick)
Tools & Embellishments: Birch Tape (Excelsior Wholesale), Burlap, Button & Cord (My Stash), Vintage Photo Distress Ink (Ranger)
