Make Hey Lastnight....

Lovely photo borrowed from Magdalena's blog - The Craft Revival (mine were all blurry)

I've been keeping busy busy busy this week, so I kept my planned date with the crafty girls, and went along to the launch of Pip's new book Make Hey lastnight.

Vic drove to my place and bought me some flowers.... awww what a sweetie, and then we hotfooted it over to St Kilda. I'm pretty sure that I kept my peak hour swearing to a minimum and we made it in plenty of time. Phew!

It was a lovely friendly relaxed chatty event. Just the type of thing I like. I now have another signed book to add to the collection. Yah!

With the beautiful weather, we headed to the park for a little dusk picnic......'twas the perfect end to the evening!

Featured Hottie Number 22

My hottie cover for the #hottiechallenge

This week is going to be all about the Hotties

I think I'm still spinning out thinking about just how fabulous they are. I would love to have Magdalena's super cool hottie on my wall.... just so I could be reminded every day that I'm such a hottie (hee hee)!

There are some more very cool macro type photos in Magdalena's blog post

I think this is the perfect one to begin a Monday morning with a smile!!

PS - I've created a new Flickr group for photos from the exhibition. If you did happen to take photos, I would love it if you'd like to share them!

A Very Merry Christmas to me - part 2

More goodies just for me!

I bought myself this super sweet embroidery kit from the very lovely Magdalena from The Craft Revival.
I'm taking it along on my mini beach holiday (it's too short to take the machine). I've had a little mini sneak peek inside - it has absolutely everything I need, even a sewing needle!

I also picked up a sweet little Polly Pratt mini needle book from Anna - also a perfect holiday size!

On Sunday, we went into Ballarat to have a browse around at some of the vintage / secondhand shops.

I found this lovely vintage dress. I'm not quite sure whether this colour suits my skin tone, but I'm going to try it with a red slip underneath and just see.

I also found this gorgeous rose embroidery which has the ugliest plastic frame I ever did see.....

.... and to think that someone actually chose to have it professionally framed with that (quite a long time ago according to the old six digit phone number)!
