I promised LOOT

Softies by Ric Rac

The sign of a great weekend away is when you arrive home with lots of loot that makes you happy.

Date Planner and Stitching Kit by Kootoyoo

It's really nice to be able to see handmade goodies up close, when you've only seen them in photos previously.

Clockwise from top left - Thaw Magazine, Stitched Card by Pepperberry & Co, Lavender Heart and Hairclip by Dandelion (there is another hairclip but I'm wearing it in my hair already), Acoustic CD by Geoffrey Williams

I really tried to restrain myself..... but it seems that resistance was futile.

Vintage placemat set, and jingle bells from Blonde Vintage, Knitting Nancy from Lark

I did use the excuse that some of my purchases were Christmas pressies.

Cushion and Vintage Biscuit Tin from Dear Prudence

But, to tell you the truth..... most of it was for me!

It seems that I even have my dad collecting for me now. He picked up these old flour sacks at the Sunday Market at the Ballarat Racecourse.....score!

A cold day in Melbourne Town

My stall

The market didn't go as well as I'd hoped yesterday. We set up out the front of the church, just in time for a passing rain shower, and then the winds started gusting and blowing everything away.

We moved around to the side of the church, which was a little less windy..... but freezing cold.

Luckily, all of the lovely stallholders like to have a good chat, so we all managed to keep each other amused amongst the shivering.

We had lots of lovely locals come to visit - Nikki, Lara (happy birthday for yesterday), Liz, Jasperboy Jen... I hope I haven't missed anyone.

Mr Flickettysplits hand delivered my custom ordered draught snake to the church market, while Mrs Flickettysplits was busy at the town hall market.

I came with some lovely goodies (as per usual), which I'll show later in the week. I also came home with cupcakes and gingerbread men (already eaten) from Melbourne Epicure... and a lovely Olive Loaf which will be demolished today.

Now it's time to unpack the car and clean the house...fun - NOT!

Quick....someone hit the PANIC button!

I really do remember something I blogged thismorning about getting through all of the unfinished projects on the list....

But then an email popped up in my inbox regarding a market opportunity this Saturday. I wisely ignored it.....

But then another email popped up in my inbox from Jay to say that she'd signed up, and so my little brain began whirring..... and now it seems that I'm all signed up to join in the fun!

There are actually two markets very close to each other this Saturday 20th June, in High St Northcote, which are running as part of the Northern Exposure Visual Arts Festival.

I'll be at the following venue (from 10AM to 4PM):

Northcote Uniting Church
251 High St
Northcote

There is another market at:

Northcote Town Hall
189 High St
Northcote

Jay from Finki and Sandra from Pepperberry will also be selling their crafty wares at the Uniting Church, so come along and say hello.

In the meantime, I'll be panicking and sewing up a frenzy!

Loot Glorious Loot - Day 3

Todays Loot includes some of my purchases from Saturdays Made'n'Thornbury Market

I resisted purchasing one of these fabulous Flickettysplits cushions at the first market in February, but I just couldn't resist this time around. It's lovely and soft and squishy and I can curl up with it on the couch. Now I just need to make that couch quilt that I've been promising since last winter.

I also bought a pink facewasher with a sweet little crochet edge... and a little frog to keep Missy company on the bookshelf....

....this little Pepperberry mini tote bag

...another pendant (anyone noticing a pattern by any chance) - this one by Konstant Kaos

....and this cute little Barbie Fashion Pack from Vestal Vagrant. I don't have barbies, but I can't wait to play around with the scraps and ribbons and lace to create my own little masterpiece!

There was one more thing.... I just need to find it to take a photo.

More Looters over here.

A bit of gratuitous advertising

The Made'n'Thornbury market is on again this Saturday. I'll be there selling my wares, and Tinniegirl will be helping me out too, so come and say hello!

The address is 99 Leinster Grove, Thornbury and it runs from 10AM - 3PM. All of the stalls are inside a hall, so no need to worry about inclement weather. Bring the kiddies along to have some fun at the kids craft table, and to pick up some Mothers Day pressies.

There'll be lots of other lovely stalls too - these are just some of them:

Pepperberry and Co.

Finki

Vestal Vagrant

Flicketty Splits

Melbourne Epicure (head on over and check out the gingerbread men - you won't be sorry)!
