Promise

Tinniegirl made me a promise before she jetted off for her recent holiday.....

She promised that she'd send me back a little sunshine with a bit of magic thrown in for good measure.
I think she delivered perfectly!

Hearty Arty

I spied this most beautiful painting over at Little Black Crow Studio a couple of weeks ago....

I fell in love immediately, and it was completely stuck in my brain.

I enquired with Grace to find out whether it was for sale, and to my absolute delight, it was!

Now.... where shall I hang it ???

Wingin' it

With any type of crafting that I do, I really like to just 'wing it' and have a go. Things don't always go to plan, and the end result is not always what I was visualising in my head.

Case in point above: This is a pressie for a sweet little girl who likes to do some baking with her mum. I was trying to make a chefs hat like the one that I made earlier, but once I'd gathered the piece of fabric for the top of the hat, I realised that it was far too small for a chefs hat.
So now it's a bakers hat!

I found a really small teatowel from the stash to transform into an apron - it nearly reaches her ankles at the moment.... but at least her clothes will stay clean.

So that's what I call 'Wingin' it 101'

As a thankyou, I received some beautiful creations - this one is a scary monster

Then this one is a footprint, and an alien....

....and this one is me! I even have fingernails and a bellybutton

Paper + Glue + Lino + Paint + Food = Fun

I had such a lovely crafty day out today...the time absolutely flew past and before we knew it, we'd cut and printed and painted and glued and eaten lots of yummy food, and then it was time to pack up and make our way home......

I managed to finish two small lino cuts..... the first with some flowers and leaves (of which I've completely forgotten to take a photo) and the second is this star print. I clearly need to work on the amount of paint I'm putting on the print!

Thess are Serena's mushroom and bunny prints (using ezycarve printing blocks)....they didn't work so well with paint but they're fabulous with ink.... hopefully she will have time to post some photos tomorrow.

There was a bit of doiley painting action happening..... and Cathy made some absolutely divine collages (no photos yet...not quite finished)

and another lovely flower lino print and a couple of gorgeous mini collages by Serena...

....potato print on calico by Juddie (not a great photo but this looks fab in real life). I missed getting a photo of Juddie's print cuts...she made a beautiful christmas bauble using ezycarve printing blocks...

We had the most amazing home made pizza for lunch...yum!

This is a sneaky peek of my work in progress collages. I'm going to finish them off tomorrow.

Thankyou so much Cathy for letting us bombard you and your house with all of our crafty mess...and thanks to Ms L for putting up with us too (he he he)!

And I should have included a Smencil link in my last post!
