I promised you more and here's the second part of the Choose Your Own Bag Adventure Sew-Along Wrap.

Lots more beautiful eye candy on the bag front.... oh, and did you see those tulips in Tan's garden? Oh me oh my.... bewdiful!

Thanks so much once again to everyone who joined in the fun. It's no fun to sew-along without all of you. If you didn't make it by the deadline, never fear, you can still finish off your bag and I'll add it to the sidebar (but if I miss it, please email me and let me know).

The Choose Your Own Bag Adventure Wrap Up

It's the end of another lovely monthly sew-along challenge.

Sew alongs like this are really fantastic as you get to see an entire range of different bag patterns, featuring a huge array of different fabrics. It's a great learning and sharing experience for newbies, and even for experienced sewers.

Without any further ado, here's a little show and tell featuring the gorgeous bags... please go and visit the blog posts that I've linked to for all of the details.

Thanks so much to everyone who played along, and I think we'd better thank Nikki for her amazing range of patterns, of which we've managed to include six.

You can still add your bags to the Flickr Group or just pop on over there to see more photos.

Now if you're looking for something to sew in September (eeeeek September already), Carmel from Solomon Sewing is having a Hat Sew-Along. I've signed up. It should be fun!

A huge thankyou to my August Advertisers:

Busy

A new finished batch of Un-Reel Pendants

I've been neglecting my dear old blog a little bit this week, but I've been juggling lots of different things behind the scenes.

I've made a start on a quilt order (before I ran out of interfacing), I've sewed thirty metres of curtain tape to the tops of pre-existing curtains, made lots of cushion covers, sent off a new batch of Spring coloured goodies to Open Drawer, updated my shop layout, and finished a new batch of Un-Reel Pendants.

I still seem to have a billion things to do... and I must get back to my Baguette Bag!

At least with all this rain, it seems a lovely day to stay home and sew.

How are you going with your bag sew-along? If I've missed your blog post please let me know so that I can add you to the sidebar and feature your bag on the blog.

The Choose Your Own Bag Adventure Sew-Along

Hear Ye, Hear Ye! It's time to sign up to the next sew-along.

I decided to make this one a 'Choose Your Own Adventure' type sew-along as I'm quite particular when it comes to bags. I probably have around twenty, and they all suit me in different ways. I'm a bit like Goldilocks and the Three Bears. I have to choose the right bag to suit the right occasion.

I'm aiming to make at least two bags during the month. I desperately need a new Baguette, and a new Backpack Bag (I'm going to base it on the one in Nikki's You Sew Girl book but just make it larger).

If you're looking for a pattern, I have a whole shop full of gorgeous You Sew Girl Bag Patterns, but you can sign up and make any bag your heart desires!

I used my Illustrator practice (combined with a bit of Photoshop) to make a button. You can right click and save it (it's 200px), or use the code:

Here's the sign up list:

Don't forget to upload photos to the Flickr Group once your bag is finished so that we can all see the beautiful new creations!
