Lifesavers.... get a HOLE lot more out of life
A couple of weeks ago I made a frivolous purchase of nailpolish. I haven't worn nailpolish for years, and have no intention of wearing it at the moment, but while waiting at the chemist, I just couldn't resist those colours. I was completely seduced by their point of sale marketing.
It's been sitting on the kitchen bench ever since... just waiting.
The eldest nephew was visiting earlier this week and he needed to make a gift for a friend, so I suggested that we make a necklace.
We used some really pretty silver chain and findings from my stash, and we painted a washer with the different colours of nailpolish to make a pendant.
When I posted this pic on instagram, Carmel mentioned that it looked like a Lifesaver, and it totally does too!
In a complete moment of serendipity, Cintia from My Poppet posted a DIY Neon Pop Necklace tute using nailpolish on the same day.
The gift was a hit, so I decided to make another for myself.
In pink and orange of course.. it's a bit of fun and something different!

Loot Glorious Loot - Day 4
I did a swap with Finki for this gorgeous glass pendant. I picked up another of her pendants at the last market in a lighter colour, but I also needed one (yes - I truly did need) in a darker colour.
This one will be perfect to wear with my Melbourne winter woollies!
More looters here...

Loot Glorious Loot - Day 1
Anyway, last week was my birthday, and I had a little bit of money in my paypal account that was burning a hole in my virtual pocket, so I had a little bit of a click around Made It to see what I could find just for me....
I settled on a lovely glass pendant from What Katy Did (I'm becoming even more seriously addicted to handmade jewellery).....
When I opened the package, I found this lovely padded fabric bucket (in my favourite colour combination), and a fabric wrapped package.

Love Handmade Jewellery
I have a huge array from casual and funky, to formal and dressy, but I absolutely love all of it!
Usually the most difficult question I ask myself each morning is "Which pieces of jewellery shall I wear with my outfit"?
Sharon has just launched her Etsy store this weekend where you can find all of her beautiful creations.
I was lucky enough to do a swap with Lauren and I received this gorgeous necklace and matching ring. The necklace pendant can be taken off and then it doubles as a brooch. Yah for multifunctional jewellery!
Lauren has a Made It shop full of lovely creations to check out.
Now..... I need to decide what to wear today!

Fate
The name is a little different, but I think it's beautiful. I wonder what happened to Camilla?

Merry Christmas to me
Above photo from Kristie
I saw these on Kristie's Missie Krissie blog and fell in love with them, so I custom ordered one for myself.
Isn't it gorgeous! It's sterling silver, and I chose pink beads. Who says you can't wear your name around your neck?
Kristie doesn't have an online shop just yet but you can email her - jemkris (at) westnet (dot) com (dot) au to find out more.

Ready for my soiree
Inside were these absolutely beautiful earrings from Sharon. They're part of her new jewellery collection. These ones are named 'Cristel' and they have Swarovski crystals and Swarvoski Pearls and white gold fish hooks. My photo really doesn't do them justice as they are so much more beautiful in real life....and sparkly too.
I was also the extremely lucky winner of Sharons giveaway....
So I also received this amazing 'Celine' bracelet with gold Swarovski crystals and bali gold clasp. Again, you really can't see this in the photo, but the crystals have the most amazing sparkle. I can't wait for an occassion to dress up and wear it.
Sharon has these, and other beautiful pieces of jewellery for sale on her Handmaiden blog...just check out her sidebar. My next favourite piece from the collection are these Belle Earrings.
Thanks so much Sharon!
