My Creative Space..... and I've been Throttled
I have four markets booked in between now and Christmas, so I'm desperately trying to be organised in advance this year. I have various little production lines in progress, strewn all over the place.
I'm not very good at production line sewing. I get bored quite easily and prefer to flit between projects instead..... which usually means that I end up with big piles of unfinished projects everywhere. Even after studying and working in manufacturing for so long, I just can't seem to take my own best advice when it comes to productivity and just in time manufacturing!
I've also managed to transform my work bench from a serene example of organisation to complete and utter chaos in the space of a week.
Just to top it off, I received one of those horrible nasty emails yesterday morning:
This is an automatically generated email to advise you that you
have reached your peak download limit.
This means your peak service will be throttled to
128 kbps until 08/10/2010.
So it looks like I'm going to be very very quiet over the next couple of days, which is not very good in the first week of Blogtoberfest!

It's Tuesday and I can't wait...
I really can't wait for the storm clouds to disappear this week....
Bring on the rain - just make sure to clear the skies. My wireless internet really really really doesn't like all this cloud cover. It's costing me $100 per month and I'm having connection problems and drop outs. I'm struggling to be able to read everything in my google reader before I get disconnected, and it's really pushing me over the edge!
I'm seriously considering going back to a broadband connection. The problem is that I don't have a home phone connection. I'll have to pay to have a home phone connected, pay even more to have the connection put in the spare bedroom (where the desktop pc lives), just so that I can have naked broadband connected and then disconnect the home phone line. It's just such a huge waste of money....agggghhhhh.
I'd love to know if anyone else has any other better suggestions.
Play along with Lou Lou....

Disaster Update!
The download limit mystery has been solved!
Mr CurlyPops was watching the Rip Curl Pro online on his laptop over the weekend.
We're on a 5GB plan and there's only 2 people in the house so we couldn't possible need to upgrade.
Thursday had double normal usage. Friday had 4 times normal usage. Saturday was 3 times normal usage even though he went to Bells Beach and watched it live!
Lesson learnt.....don't watch tv on the internet!

Disaster!
I just received the following email from my ISP:
This is a courtesy notice to advise you that you are approaching, or have exceeded your included monthly megabytes on your account.
This means :
1) At this time, if your plan is shaped, your service will be shaped to a lower speed in accordance to your plan. Or;
2) if your plan has a download limit you will begin to incur excess charges for additional megabytes used this billing period.
It's only the 24th of March....that means slow internet for the rest of the month......which is still 7 more days..... aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh!
