An apple a day

Liesl will never believe me (come to think of it, anybody who knows me won't believe it) if I don't provide documentary evidence, but I actually took Kitty's advice.

Instead of buying myself a chocolate bar at the cafeteria...... I actually bought FRUIT.

Now of course, just buying the fruit is only the first piece of the puzzle. Liesl wouldn't believe it unless she could see documentary evidence that I would actually eat said pieces of FRUIT.

So Liesl, I give you an empty banana skin.

I'm just wondering whether this makes up for the Honey Cakes, Honey Jumbles, Twisties, Fruit and Nut Chocolate, and Crunchy Caramel chocolate that Cathie treated me too???

Faith Karma Fate?

Do you believe that everything happens for a reason?

I really believe it, but then some days I wonder what on earth I ever did to deserve some of the crappy things that have happened in my life over the last few years.

I was asking myself this very question yet again yesterday arvo / evening.......

At about 10PM, my cat knocked (yes, he seriously knocks) on the front door to come inside, and when I opened the heavy door, I found a package wedged between the screen door and heavy door.  When I'd arrived home earlier in the day, I came inside via the garage so the front door hadn't been opened.

Call it Faith, Karma, Fate, but surely it arrived at the exact right time on the exact right day, just when I needed a little buck up!

Kitty from Kitty's Kaboodle sent me a beautiful set of vintage pillowcases (in pink, oranges and reds of course), with a handmade card, and a handmade Noddy and Big Ears Notepad.  You can't see the text in my photo, but at the bottom of the picture it reads:

Now they are having a perfectly wonderful tea party, and Noddy and Big-Ears are as happy as can be.

So a huge thankyou Kitty, for cheering me up and making me as 'happy as can be'.

The forgotten one.....

I'd completely forgotten all about this until I read this post over at Kitty's Kaboodle.

Do you remember a couple of weeks ago when I mentioned that I'd left something behind at the op shop and regretted it as soon as I arrived home?
Lucky for me, I went back 2 days later and it was still there. Sorry about the photo which is showing the underside of the tv in the kitchen (lovely I know).... but I think the mirror is beautiful.
Hmmm now where to put it....

Oh Bernice....

With all of the excitement thats been happening at CurlyPops headquarters (olympics, mixtogether, brown owls, head in a bucket), I forgot that the lovely Bernice had bestowed an award on me last week. I only remembered when I was blogsurfing lastnight and read Sherrins blog.

So now it is my bloggy duty to share the love and bestow this award on some more crafty bloggers.....this is really difficult because there are sooooooo many fantastic blogs (about 170 at last count) that I read religiously.

So these are four of my faves...if you haven't checked them out yet then you definitely should!

Thanks Bernice.

PS. Thanks for all the get well wishes.....they definitely worked!

PPS. Blogger is throwing a spacing wobbly...sorry about that.

This is......my most favourite outfit that expresses my individual style

This weeks 'This Is' theme was chosen by Kitty and it's a very very interesting one indeed!

I'm not a big fashion follower, I just like to be comfortable in what I'm wearing so I spend most days in a pair of denim jeans and a t-shirt. If I'm at home, I'll most likely be wearing my moccassins (to keep my feet nice and toasty).
I use accessories to express my style.....I love vintage leather jackets....I have green, red, black and brown....
I love funky glasses....I figure if you have to wear glasses, then they may as well match your outfit!

......and I also love shoes (as long as they're flat and comfy)!

....but I can't fit them all on my shoerack....

.....and then there's my addiction to handmade scarves, handmade bags, handmade purses.......etc....etc....etc.

One thing that I'm still searching for is a handmade beanie or beret for winter. I have a small head and all the adult sizes are too big for me.
