Because everyone should have a peacock top with matching curtains
I found this gorgeous peacock print cotton voile on the clearance table at Spotty a couple of weeks ago.
I've been looking for something to replace the curtain that screens off my workspace from the rest of the open plan living area for a while now. There was a little over five metres left so I bought all of it....
....and came home and whipped up two curtains.
There happened to be just enough left for a top, so I thought why not?
It's a little bit short, as I had an issue with the bottom binding and had to cut it off and redo, but I'm going to have to wear a top undeneath anyway as it's a bit too see through for my modest self.
I'll just have to remember not to stand in front of the curtains!

Colour makes the world go round...
This was the little sneaky instagram peek of my new curtains that I blogged on Sunday...
A long long time ago now, I blogged about this beautiful Tahiti Fabric (the selvedge says 100% cotton - Tahiti Print) and it's been sitting in the stash ever since.
Sorry for the photo quality (was trying to keep house dark and cool)
There was metres and metres of it.... enough to make brand new curtains for my very tall living room windows.
I'm absolutely amazed at how taking down the boring brown curtains and replacing them with these has made such a difference.
I'm not amazed, that once again, I've taken multiple pairs of shoes off as I've sat on the couch and left them to pile up, and therefore end up in my photos.... some things never change.
Now if I could just work out a way to magically extend the side walls so that I centre the television....

Big Trouble in Little CurlyPops Land
So I merrily headed off to work yesterday morning, and then onto dinner at Chair 14 before the Northern Craft Bonanza lastnight.....
I arrived home quite late, to be greeted at the front door by Houdini Dog (who should have been safely locked in the backyard).
It seems that the glass sliding door had been left slightly open, so he managed to get his paws in, and open it up enough to get inside while simultaneously ruining my curtains in the process.
Someone is in BIG BIG BIG HUGE trouble today!
