...and the winner is

There were 57 entries in total for the $250 Bunnings Voucher Giveaway thanks to Turf Australia.

The random number generator chose comment no 12!

So the winner is Rachel from Four Wise Monkeys - Congratulations Rachel - get in touch and I'll organise for Turf Australia to get your voucher in the mail.

Thanks to everyone who played along. I loved reading about all the things you would buy at Bunnings (I'm a bit nosey like that). It probably helps that I LOVE shopping for hardware.

That was fun - hope I can do it again one day!

Happy Halloween and a Winner

Happy Halloween!

I've been out trick or treating with the nephews (which is code for watching them go trick or treating, and then sorting through their lolly stash and eating my bodyweight in chocolate and lollies).

There was much excitement on the way out....

.... and a bit of dawdling on the way home

Did you know you can still buy sherbet straws? They even still taste the same! Yum.

Anyway, it's time to pick a winner.

Random.Org tells me that the winner is comment number 3

Tanya from Tanya Today

Congratulations Tanya! I'll be in touch to organise your prize.

You Sew Girl - The Winner

Todays the day!!!

It's the official realease date of You Sew Girl by Nicole Mallalieu.

Not only can you find it in all good book shops, but you can also buy it direct from Nikki (which may be the perfect opportunity to get your hands on an autographed by the author copy)

Without further ado (and a little bit late).... it's time to draw the winner of my giveaway.

There were 234 official entries, after I deleted a double up and a spambot (I've never ever had anything remotely close to that many entries for anything - clearly everyone would LOVE to win a copy of this fabulous book).

The random number generator says that the winner is number 5.....  Carla from More Than Tuesdays

Thanks so much to everyone for playing along!

Overdue

It's been a really long and really really really (is that too many really's?) busy week.

I haven't yet had a chance to show the lovely prize that I won last week over at Mon Alisa Design!

There were two prize packs up for grabs, and one of them contained this beautiful Irish Linen floral teatowel. Lets see..... it's orange, it's floral, it's linen and it's a vintage teatowel. That's four things that I absolutely adore all rolled into one.

There was also a little vintage bottle (for my treasure shelf), a doiley, some lace, and cute little vintage cards. I'm hoping that some of those little cards may fit into my printers tray.

Thankyou so much Alisa, I love all of it.

I actually have my first free afternoon of the week today, so I'm off to sew. Yippee!

It's Lisa from The Princess and The Monkey

Congratulations Lisa - I'll be in contact so that you can choose your favourite pouch as a prize!

Blogtoberfest Giveaway Winner Week 1 + Animation Friday

gif animator

The first winner today is ME because my internet is back to normal - phew!

I'm combining Animation Friday with the announcement of the lucky giveaway winner.  So for those that missed the process over the last couple of months, my animation shows the evolution of the Tulip Gadget Pouch.

For some reason today, some peeps can't actually see the giveaway list. I'm hoping that the problem is with blogger or Mr Linky, and all will be fixed by tomorrow.

Without further ado, I'm already over an hour late with the draw - there were 92 entries overall.

...... and the winner is number 72 - Kylie from A Little Red Dress

Thanks so much to everyone who entered - Kylie, can you please choose your favourite pouch (Tulip or Jungle) and email me your mailing address and I'll pop your prize in the mail.

I'll be adding a brand new giveaway on Monday, so stay tuned!

Picky Picky

I love a giveaway.... and it's come to the time to pick a winner of the gorgeous 100% polyester baby vintage dress.

I could try to refashion it, but I really don't want to ruin it, which is why I'm very sadly giving it away for a new life with someone who can actually wear it (and be able to breathe and sit down without splitting a seam).

So without further ado, the random number generator dictates that the winner must be.....

Number 14 - which was Mookah who commented 'Oh yeah....I was a slim size 10....about 20 years ago! Not for me baby.'

Redraw.... and the winner is Drewzel who commented: Gorgeous honey! Sorry it didn't work for you :(
Don't count me in the draw though, I'm only size 10 in my dreams!

This is harder than it seems..... maybe the dress is trying to tell me something

Redraw.... and the winner is Susan who commented: I think it might fit me ... we're a pretty similar size. I'm sure it will got to a good home in any event.

Yah! We finally have a winner.

For the Mookah girls and Steph, I'll pop a little consolation prize in the mail if you would like to email me your snail mail addresses.

Thanks so much to everyone who played along.

Lucky Ducky

I've been trying really hard to resist entering all of the wonderful giveaways in blogland lately, but I couldn't resist this Australia Day giveaway over at Idey Spidey a couple of weeks ago.

I was the lucky ducky who won the prize, and I was so excited when it arrived in the mail.

There was a beautiful pile of indigenous print quilting fabric (I'm totally in LOVE with the pink one), some delicious Wild About You chocolates featuring bush tucker flavours, covered buttons, a hair tie (perfect for this hot weather), and......

......these extremely cool indigenous print thongs!

Sarah Jo must be a mind reader to know just how much I love thongs. I own at least six pairs, now seven.

Thankyou thankyou thankyou!

Blogtoberfest Day 10: Whoops! We now have a winner

I got a bit carried away by the market preparations and completely forgot to draw the winner of my giveaway lastnight...... so without further ado, the winner is:

Number 50 - Linda from Two Pink Possums

Now this is actually quite fateful because when I spotted that book at the oppy, I immediately thought that Linda would love it..... spooky!

Thanks so much to everyone for playing along - make sure you check all of the new giveaways on my sidebar and come back on Monday for my next giveaway.

Now I'm off to read the 61 blog posts that have popped up in my google reader since I left for the market thismorning.

A box full of sunshine

I arrived home lastnight to find a huge box waiting for me on the kitchen table (luckily my mum had been at my house when the postie arrived).

I was lucky enough to win the 'guess the new baby name' over at Missie Krissie. I actually won by default as Kristie gave the hint that the name started with the letter N. As I have two nephews whose names begin with N, I guessed both names...... and the new little bubba's name is Noah (which incidentally is one of my favourite boys names in the whole wide world).

Inside the box were the most amazing lot of goodies - beautiful vintage fabric, lots and lots of different types and colours of yarn (perfect for some experimentation), and the best bit - a beautifully embroidered CurlyPops frame.

Thankyou so much Kristie - I have no idea how on earth you had time to complete that beautiful embroidery for me, but I truly appreciate it!

Thankful

I'm always thankful when I collect the mail and there are no bills....

I'm even more thankful when I collect the mail and find crafty packages waiting for me....

I'm not thankful when the postie folds and then tries to shove those packages through a tiny mail slot instead of just reaching around and putting them in the mailbox from the rear.....

Luckily, there were no breakables - just pretty things.

I won a giveaway over at Willy Wagtail - and hilariously (given the rate at which I seem to lose these) - the giveaway was for A whole weeks supply of seam rippers. There are actually seven of them, and Cherie also included a lovely Bendigo tea towel (where I used to live), and a sweet little doilie. Thanks Cherie!

The next package contained all of these lovely tea towels and a beautiful handmade owl card.
Ngaire contacted me and said that she had these left from a garage sale of her hubby's grandmothers things. Ngaire doesn't have a blog but she liked my aprons, and so she generously offered to send them to me. Isn't that sweet? Thanks Ngaire.

....and then this little suprise package arrived in the mail from Amy at Badskirt - it's the perfect floral print for me! Thanks so much Amy. I'm going to whip myself up a little zippered purse, using the trim as a wrist strap - perfect for hands free shopping..... adding it to the list in my head as I'm typing....

My little Swiney

I just so happened to win the funniest giveaway in blogland last week over at Clutterpunk.

If you know me in real life, then you'll realise that it's quite hilarious and ironic that I won a Swiney Softie which has been modelled on a cross-section of the swine flu virus.

From Gina:
"it's virologically accurate, from the cute green neuraminidases and swanky red haemagglutinin right down to the 8 strands of RNA in the middle"

So, just what should I do with my sweet little Swiney? I'm thinking of adding a brooch clasp and wearing to my next doctors appointment, just to see if he dares to ask me "what the"?

Gina also included a gorgeous piece of retro kitchen fabric.... the brain is whirring.... can you hear it?

Lady Luck

I seem to have an uncanny knack for winning lovely bloggy giveaways.... it's a pity my lady luck vibes don't seem to be able to be superimposed into some other critical areas of my life.

I was very lucky to win a fabulous giveaway over at Pivotal Expressions last week. You have to go and check out the draw. Beky's dog had to choose a schmacko to pick the winner...hilarious!

I received a really funky set of printed cards designed by Beky and a cool crafty bookmark.
Beky has an Etsy Shop and she's also going to be at the next Made'n'Thornbury market on September 5th.

Thanks Beky!

I also had a little bit of a craft shopping spree again last week... paypal is like having monopoly money. I bought one of Michelle's gorgeous Loving the Vintage caravan brooches, with the intention of giving it to my sister (there's an in joke about caravans with her and her hubby).... but now I don't want to actually give it away!

I also couldn't resist buying a Royal Sisters chocolate brown crocheted necklace for winter (there's something cosy about chocolate brown at this time of the year), and Michelle included a beautiful matching hairband as well, which will be perfect considering that I haven't been to the hairdresser since March (hello grey tips).

PS - Michelle is having an amazing giveaway including the cutest little pink wrist warmers that I've ever seen...

....and random.org declares

That the winner of the shirt apron is number 4

Tania from Myrtle and Eunice - congratulations Tania, and a huge thanks to everyone who entered!

And the joy never stops

Unless your the poor postman who has to deliver parcels to my house.....

Picture this if you will..... I'm lying in bed fast asleep (even though it's already sometime after 9 AM and I really should be out of bed).

There's a loud knock at the door.

I wake up and think that maybe someone is knocking on the door, but maybe I'm just dreaming.

There's another loud knock, so I yell out - "WHO IS IT?"

No answer, so I get out of bed, stagger to the door and open it.....

I'm wearing pink flannelette pyjamas with printed green frogs wearing crowns, I have crazy bed hair, sleepy eyes, and possibly drool....

.....and I'm greeted by my postman

I'm squinting because the daylight is so bright. He smiles at me and hands over a huge parcel. I apologise for still being in my pyjamas... what else could I say, as I embarrassingly slink back inside and close the door?

I won this amazing box of goodies from Jemma's 100th post giveaway over at Amityville Boronia. Every single piece inside the box was separately wrapped so it was like 20 pressies in 1!

Did you notice that one of the parcels is clearly marked OPEN ME LAST?

There's a craft book, vintage patterns, vintage fabrics, buttons, trims, my favourite chocolate,

some beautiful quilted coasters, embroidery floss, and embroidered doiley....

But, the mystery of the OPEN ME LAST parcel and the piece de resistance, is this amazing handcarved CurlyPops stamp!

It completely matches the font that I use on my header and my business cards. I'll be stamping everything in sight.... don't stand still for too long if you happen to come over!

Thanks so much Jemma!

Sweet parcels in the mail

I arrived home lastnight to find two parcels waiting for me squeezed into my little mailbox (I might need to do something about that).

I was the super lucky winner of the Selina's Vintage mystery giveaway. Well, the mystery parcel included vintage fabrics, vintage pillowcases, chenille, beautiful trims and buttons, and the cutest magnetic postcard for my fridge.

Thankyou so much Selina.... I'm imagining some gorgeous creations as I type!

.... and in the other parcel was the fabulous 1983 teatowel in brand new pristine condition from Jannimary, who won my embroidered doiley giveaway.

Thanks so much Janice!

I'd better get back to working on my Snailblazer swap goodies.... I'm running late (and blaming the horrible lurgy).

Sunday, April 26, 2009

Time to draw a winner

The random number generator says that the winner of the vintage embroidery set is number 19.

Jannimary

Congratulations Jannimary! Just email me your address - mscurlypops (at) gmail (dot) com and I will pop your parcel in the post on Tuesday.

Thankyou to everyone who played along. There'll be another giveaway on Wednesday... I just haven't figured out what it will be yet!

Oh, and I haven't forgotten my Pay It Forward recipients... I'll be starting work on that very soon.

Sunday, February 1, 2009

And the skirt goes to:

There were 28 unique entries for my blogaversary prize.

Drumroll please........

The winner is number 7 which is Clare from Clare's Craftroom. Congratulations Clare - please send me an email to mscurlypops (at) gmail (dot) com with your details and I will pop your prize in the mail!

Lookout later this week for another giveaway.
