Irresistable...

On the premise that I was buying a birthday pressie for a friends daughter, I just couldn't resist this beautiful Tinniegirl collage.

But of course I'm keeping it for myself instead....

You can pick one up for yourself right here!

PS - If you need a customised stamp, Jemma has opened up an etsy shop.

Love Handmade Jewellery

I've realised lately that I have a passion (some may say addiction) for handmade jewellery.
I have a huge array from casual and funky, to formal and dressy, but I absolutely love all of it!

Usually the most difficult question I ask myself each morning is "Which pieces of jewellery shall I wear with my outfit"?

Following my passion, I bought myself a pair of these beautiful Belle earrings from Sharon at Handmaiden. They're a lovely silvery grey, perfect for an occassion where I need to dress up.

Sharon has just launched her Etsy store this weekend where you can find all of her beautiful creations.

I've also been coveting the lovely jewellery creations of Lauren Williams for quite a while now.

I was lucky enough to do a swap with Lauren and I received this gorgeous necklace and matching ring. The necklace pendant can be taken off and then it doubles as a brooch. Yah for multifunctional jewellery!

Lauren has a Made It shop full of lovely creations to check out.

Now..... I need to decide what to wear today!

A very special Hokey delivery

On our little shopping spree in the city a couple of weeks ago, I bought this gorgeous fabric fat quarter from Kimono House.

I gave it to Hollie and she has made this beautiful Hokey wallet for me....

....and I now have these fab Hokey resin earrings to match with my rose pendant and ring!
WARNING: Extreme Ear Close Up!
If you head on over to Hollies other blog, Vegan and Vintage, you'll find details of a special offer in her Etsy Shop....

To and Fro

I finished making the brooches that were in bits and pieces last Sunday. I've used new and recycled vinyl, leather, felt, and buttons......

I've been thinking of maybe opening up an etsy shop to sell a few of my creations....

I'm thinking of making simple things such as brooches, aprons, simple tote bags.....

So I really need some advice....

I love making things but I don't want it to end up feeling like work (if that makes any sense at all). That's why I thought an etsy shop may be a good option for a start. If it's a dismal failure, then it really doesn't matter so much as there isn't a huge capital outlay. I did read a great post over at Michelle's blog a couple of weeks ago regarding costing and pricing and postage, so I would of course have to work all of that out first. I would be very interested to hear about others experiences in setting up an etsy shop, successes, failures, etc, yaddah, yaddah.....over to you!

I'll have some Truffle with my Meringue please...

This gorgeous piece of button art is my latest etsy purchase. I've been keeping my eye on this one ever since I originally saw it on Jodie's blog. I love the vintage material and the yellow and brown tones.

I was lucky enough to have subscribed to Jodie's Meringue Mail mailing list and I received an email last week about a sale in her two etsy shops .......so yippee for me, I snapped it up quick smart before anyone else!

Then as an extra special gift, Jodie also sent me a gorgeous wristlet in the same vintage fabric. I'm going to test it out when I go to the movies tonight....

Head on over to Meringue Diary to see all of the other gorgeous and yummy delights on offer!

Esther Bunny is coming to live at my place

This is Esther Bunny.....she will be making her way across the Tasman Sea next week and coming to live with me....yippee!

I bought Esther from Little Black Crows Etsy shop. She also has a really cool blog with lots of photos of her creations.

Esther loves nothing better than her sofa, a afternoon soapie on the telly and to nibble on her freshly baked jam cookies while sipping on a nice cup of earl grey! She also as a thing for aprons.
