I Owe You a Quarter

That's an expression from someone I met when I did improv at at IO! Chicago. He said that we all use other people's expressions, humor, ideas, etc. on stage from time to time and that there is nothing wrong with it. To acknowledge and thank the person, he would approach him/her later and just say, "I owe you a quarter."

(His name was Ed. I can't remember his last name. It's a shame, too, because I probably owe him about $20 given how much I use this expression.)
