Friendship Flowers 54

Mona Pendleton | Wednesday, January 5, 2011 @ 2:55 AM | ,

Hi there! Hope you are all have a wonderful week so far! My hubby and I met my son for lunch at one of my favorite Thai restaurants - Malee's on Main. They serve up some tasty dishes EVERY TIME! I LOVE their food so much that I have even taken cooking classes there where they shared the recipe for their secret sauce! YUMMY :) Have you taken cooking classes at a restaurant before?

I am here to share this card I made featuring Taylored Expressions Friendship Blooms set:

I inked up the leafy branch image then followed by stamping several lil' red flowers. Using a combination of S4-249 Big Scalloped Circles LG & S4-250 Big Scalloped Circles SM, I made a three dimensional flower.
For sketch inspiration, I played along with this week's Sweet Sunday sketch challenge:

Sew Happy! 57

Mona Pendleton | Tuesday, December 7, 2010 @ 7:20 PM | , , ,

Hi there! Almost half way to the weekend already - time surely flies when I have the day off from work! I started the day off with a visit to the Dentist then rewarded myself with a good work out at the gym and lunch with my hubby :) LOL I DREAD visiting the Dentist but unfortunately, it is one of those necessary evils.
I had a chance to sneak in some crafty me time so I made this card featuring Taylored Expressions Sew Happy "petite" set from Taylor's December Release. Don't let the word "petite" fool you - this set is full of amazing images and sentiments!
After inking up the dress form image, I colored it using Copic Markers then using a S4-110 Classic Ovals LG die template to cut/emboss the image. I popped it up using foam adhesive square on top of a layer that was cut/embossed using a S4-294 Beaded Oval die template.
Finished it off with a tag displaying the sew happy sentiment. For sketch inspiration, I played along with this Mercy's awesome sketch challenge: MTSC103
Thanks so much for looking! I hope you have a great evening/day :)

Taylored Expressions December Release 44

Mona Pendleton | Friday, December 3, 2010 @ 9:00 AM | , ,

Hi there! Here today to share a little gift set that I made using Taylored Expressions Collector's Anonymous "Petite"stamp set that is available for purchase TODAY. Taylor is introducing 4 new "Petite" stamp sets each containing 7-8 images/sentiments for just $7.95 each. This incredible value makes them a great gift or stocking stuffer for crafty friends and family or the perfect little gift for yourself!
When I first saw this stamp set, I immediately thought of my crafty friends. Who doesn't love to receive a lil' jar full of buttons? If you are like me - you can't get enough! I keep reminding my hubby - "it's a healthy addiction" :)
I inked up the lil' jar image full of buttons, colored using the Copic markers shown below then using a S4-116 Standard Circles SM die template to cut/emboss the image and layered it on top of a lacey circle mat cut/embossed using a S4-293 Lacey Circles die template.
All this crafty goodness is layered on top of sweet patterned paper from the October Afternoon Thrift Shop Collection. A piece of ribbon, flower embellishment and a tag can really dress up a jar of buttons! The sentiment Join the Club just cracks me up! Nothing like enabling the weak :)
In case you are curious what Copic markers I used:
That's all I have for today, I hope you head on over to see what Taylor and the Baker's Dozen DT have created:

An Elegant Reindeer... 45

Mona Pendleton | Tuesday, November 9, 2010 @ 11:00 PM | ,

Hi There! I hope you all have had a great start to your week! I have had a few long work days back to back so not much time to play. sigh... I had some time this evening to play with my papercrafting goodies :)
I inked up the gorgeous reindeer image from Taylored Expressions Sparkle & Cheer. After stamping this majestic looking image, I adhered a few pearls for a little extra elegance. For sketch inspiration, I played along with this week's Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #133.

Sparkle & Cheer contains quite a variety of images and sentiments that can be so easily mixed and matched. To create the lil' tag shown in the photo below, I inked up the Sparkle & CHEER sentiment then using a S4-246 Labels Eleven die template to cut/emboss the image.
That's all I have for today - thank you for looking! Have a great day & Be Sweet :)

Taylored Expressions November Release 45

Mona Pendleton | Thursday, November 4, 2010 @ 12:00 AM | ,

*** I have TWO posts today*** Please click HERE for my Waltzingmouse Stamps November Release Day #1 post.

Here to share what I created for the Taylored Expressions November release using stamps from both From the Heart and What's Cookin'? sets. BOTH of these sets are NOW available for purchase at the Taylored Expressions store.

First up, is a lil' jar full of white chocolate covered pretzels adorned with a tag and some very colorful DP from the Doodlebug Welcome Home collection  Using the pretzel stamp that is in the From the Heart set, I inked it up with VersaMark ink then embossed with fine white embossing powder, repeating these steps to create a nice little border.
To create the tag, I first inked up & stamped the circular sentiment then stamped/embossed the pretzel Up close you see the nice solid pretzel image that was stamped using VersaMark then embossed with fine white embossing powder. Amazing how adding just a lil tag really dresses things up! BOTH these sets are packed full of so many versatile fun images!
Next up, is a sweet card showcasing the beautiful apron image and fun sentiment from What's Cookin'? I LOVE this sweet apron :) What do you think? To add color, I pulled out the Copic R83 Rose Mist and R81 Rose Pink markers. After coloring, I trimmed around the apron & pocket, inked the edges, embossed the pocket & skirt then using a very sharp scissor, trimmed around the perimeter. What do you think of that sentiment??? PERFECT for any crafty friend!
Here's a better look at the sweet apron:

To create this card, I inked up the graceful dove image from Sparkle & Cheer with VersaMark ink, embossed with silver embossing powder then using a S4-116 Standard Circles SM die template to cut/emboss the image and layered upon on a multi-layered flower embellishment. For sketch inspiration, I played along with this week's Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge

Thanks for looking & I sure do hope you play! Be Sweet :)

Now for the CR84FN Challenge details:

I would like to invite ONE randomly selected participant as the next challenge's Guest Designer :) I would like to keep things on an even playing ground so in order to do so, all you need to do is follow a few simple guidelines:

*Please display the CR84FN graphic with your post if you have a blog. Leslie graciously offers her photos as inspiration and I would like to give her proper recognition. My dear hubby Scott takes the time to create the graphic. Seeing the graphic makes it much easier to locate your entry on your blog.

*Please do not combine the CR84FN with any other COLOR challenges.

*You are more than welcome to submit as many creations as you like however, the number associated with your first entry will be the number considered in the random generator.

Once you have your project photographed and uploaded to your blog or on-line gallery, please link the URL to your entry on this post using Inklinkz. If you use an on-line gallery, please be sure to use CR84FN2 as the keyword and if you have a blog, please display the graphic so I can easily find your entry. I hope you come join along and Create For Fun!
