A Vintage Waltzingmouse Gal 39

Mona Pendleton | Saturday, October 2, 2010 @ 3:13 PM | , , ,

***This is my second post today in celebration of World Card Making Day***
Hi There! How exciting to be celebrating World Card Making Day Waltzingmouse style x 2 (for my WMSC17 card please click HERE) along with Splitcoaststampers!
As I previously stated, there are so many festivities happening in Blogosphere today - you sure won't want to miss what both Claire & Splitcoaststampers have to offer! Claire has A Special Gift For one lucky stamper - Please be sure to visit Claire's blog (click HERE) for COMPLETE details in regards to her SPECIAL competition that involves Miss Harriet whom you see featured on my card!
I sized Miss Harriet to my liking, printed then colored with the Copic Markers shown in the photo below. Once I had the image colored, I used a S4-112 Classic Ovals SM die template to cut/emboss Miss Harriet then layered her on an oval cut using a S4-110 Classic Ovals LG die template. To create the large decorative frame that Miss Harriet is showcased on, I used a S4-233 Labels Nine die template that was embossed & stenciled using  I2-1009 Flourish Impressabilities® template. For sketch inspiration, I played along with the Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge #300, SC300.
By combining a few stamps from Nutcracker Sweet, I stamped A Gift For You on an ornate tag cut/embossed using a S4-235 Fancy Tags die template.

Copic Markers used to color Miss Harriet.
That's all for today - Off to see what my fellow blogging friends have created for World Card Making Day! Thanks so much for looking & have a great weekend :) Be Sweet!

Happy Halloween 42

Mona Pendleton | Thursday, August 26, 2010 @ 1:12 PM | , , , ,

Hi There Blogging Friends! Here today to share a few projects I made featuring a few darling Vintage images from Crafty Secrets. Over at Splitcoaststampers, there is a weekly Crafty Secrets challenge of sorts, that challenges us stampers to use our Crafty Secrets products. I made this card for this week's challenge - "Stuck on Crafty Secrets" which is to use a sticker or create your own. I don't own any Crafty Secrets stickers so I trimmed an image, then adhered it using double sided tape. For sketch inspiration, I played along with this week's Card Patterns Sketch 78. To make the tag, I used the Spellbinders™ S4-081 Tags Five die template to cut/emboss the tag then inked up a Happy Halloween sentiment from the Waltzingmouse Midnight Feast set.

Next up, is this lil' treat bag that I made using the FREE Waltzingmouse Tea Bag Baggie template. I made this for last week's Crafty Secrets challenge was "Brown Bagging It" which is to incorporate a brown bag with your Crafty Secrets goodies. To give the bag a faux leather look, I followed the tutorial on Splitcoaststampers. Super easy & such a neat result! Speaking of faux, this month's Dirty Dozen challenge theme is "Fabulous in Faux"- maybe you would like to create using any fake technique! :)

To make the little tag I, inked up an images from the Waltzingmouse Halloween Party & Very Vintage Labels No. 4 sets then cut/embossed using the Spellbinders™ S4-190 Labels Four die template that fits perfectly!

That's all for today. Thanks so much for looking! Be Sweet :)

Supplies Used:

Stamps: Waltzingmouse Midnight Feast, Halloween Party, Very Vintage Labels No. 4

Die Templates & Machine: Spellbinders™ Nestabilities® S4-190 Labels Four, S5-025 Labels Seventeen, S4-112 Classic Ovals Small, S4-113 Classic Scalloped Ovals SM, S4-081 Tags Five, GC-001 Grand Calibur

Paper: Crafty Secrets Images, Pink Paislee DP, PTI, generic brown bag, K&Company DP, SU

I'm a "Dirty" Girl! 66

Mona Pendleton | Sunday, March 14, 2010 @ 10:05 PM |

Hi Everyone! I have been dying to share this incredibly exciting news with all of you since early January but as most of you know, things like this have to be kept a secret until the time is right! Well, the time has come when I can share! Sometime at the beginning of January, Jenn Balcer at Splitcoaststampers contacted me & invited me to join the SCS Dirty Dozen Design Team as of March 15th! I am so honored & proud to be amongst such talented papercrafting designers! I have waited more than 2 months to share this news and it is really beyond belief to finally be able to actually say that I am a "Dirty" Girl!

If you are not familiar with Splitcoaststampers - you don't know what you have been missing! I recommend you stop reading this post & go check out SCS for yourself! I am sure you will find like I have, an incredible amount of inspiration by viewing the gallery, meet so many talented papercrafters who all share the same passion, learn many different techniques through the Resource section, a different challenge to play along with everyday of the week or an opportunity to participate in the forum. Splitcoaststampers is an awesome tool to connect papercrafters around the world all whom speak the same language!

The Dirty Dozen DT has a monthly themed gallery that we all share "never been seen" creations in the Fan Club / Dirty Dozen Gallery at SCS! I have been busy working on these creations for sometime now, so I encourage you to visit the gallery & join along in the fun! Come on over & say hi to me & all the other "Dirty" girls! When you visit SCS, you will see a sneak peek of one of my cards featured in this month's gallery! Thanks for sharing this exciting time with me! Be Sweet!

Many Hugs!
