Mona Pendleton | Friday, February 12, 2016 @ 8:28 PM | , , , ,

Hi! I'm so honored and excited to share with you that I had the opportunity to create 3 cards for the January 2016 issue of Craft Stamper Magazine! For a crafty girl like myself, that's quite an honor that doesn't happen everyday.
Here they are in print:

All of these cards were created using a variety of Prima products including Prima papers, resins, stamps, dies, Color Bloom Spray Mists and flowers:

Thanks so much for stopping by ~ I hope you have a great weekend!

Muir Woods and a publication 26

Mona Pendleton | Sunday, April 14, 2013 @ 9:38 AM | , , , , , , , , ,

Hi there! I hope you are all having a great weekend! Scott and I are having a great time visiting Jerry in San Francisco :) Yesterday we went hiking in the breath taking Muir Woods National Monument park. We actually got lost because we took the wrong turn and our 2 hour hike turned into a 5 hour hike but it was well worth it! Today we are going to rent bikes and ride around the Golden Gate State Park

Here are some photos from our hike yesterday:
My boys ;)
 Jerry and I :)
560+ acres of these magnificent California Redwoods:
Some beautiful wild flowers along the trail:

I'm very honored and excited to share with you my first mixed media mini album that I recently had published in the awesome Northridge Publishing Create: Mini Album Series. Surely I sound like a broken record BUT I truly believe having something published for a crafty girl is like winning the paper crafting lottery! If you want to see some beautiful projects of all sorts, please be sure to check out some of the MANY Northridge Publishing magazines!

Thanks so much for stopping by ~ I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend! I will be back at Midnight Eastern, April 15th to share some fun MFT projects ~ hope to see you then!

Mona Pendleton | Tuesday, April 2, 2013 @ 8:41 AM | , , , , ,

Hi there! I'm so proud of April because she will be graduating from Arizona State University on May 10th then she is packing her bags and relocating to San Francisco to start her life with Jerry :)! Last weekend, we spent all day Sunday making 25 invitations for her graduation ceremony which involved a photo shoot in my backyard courtesy of Scott of course ;)
I made a canvas for April / Jerry featuring one of the photos that were taken that day:
To create this canvas, I first applied a generous layer of Golden fiber paste which creates an awesome textured background to work with.
Once dry, I applied MANY layers of various paints and inks.
I finished it off with a few chipboard pieces that I coated with embossing enamel for a white shimmery look and adhered various blossoms and Prima trinkets.
I am honored and thrilled to share a few cards that I recently had published in the awesome Simply Cards & papercraft magazine which is full of a ton of inspiring projects from crafters around the world! I personally believe that getting published is like winning the paper crafting lottery :) The one below was featured in the Simply Cards & papercraft 106 issue:
and the two below were featured in the Simply Cards & papercraft 107 issue:

For color inspiration, I joined along with The Play Date Cafe which happens to be April's favorite color combo :)
Many thanks for visiting! I hope you have a great day / evening!

some exciting news! 41

Mona Pendleton | Thursday, January 17, 2013 @ 12:05 PM | , , , , , , ,

Hi there! Just wanted to share some exciting news in my crafting world :) I've always said that getting my projects published is like winning the paper crafting lottery! I am so honored and thrilled to have been recently invited to contribute to the awesome Practical Publishing Simply Cards & papercraft magazine Issue 105 which is jam packed with inspiration from crafters around the world! The featured topic was "Get on trend" ~ I was asked what did I foresee as three trends for 2013 in the papercrafting industry.
The three trends I foresee holding strong are as follows:
1) Vintage ~ the sample below features MFT stamps, Die-namics dies along with Webster's Pages patterned papers:
2) Spritz, Sprays and Mists ~ the sample below features MFT stampsDie-namics dies along with Pink Paislee patterned paper and heidi Swapp Color Shine:
3) Resin Embellishments ~ the card below features MFT stampsDie-namics dies along with Melissa Frances patterned paper and resin embellishment.
After spending the past weekend at CHA with Scott, several members of the MFT family and other papercrafting friends, I think I may have hit the trendy nail on the head! :) Many thanks for stopping by and I hope you check out the latest issue of Simply Cards & papercraft magazine!

Mona Pendleton | Sunday, November 18, 2012 @ 11:25 PM | , , , ,

Hello dear blogging friends! Hope you all had a great weekend! The weather was beautiful here in AZ which made it great for bike riding :)

I've always said, having the opportunity to be published is like winning the paper crafting lottery! I am quite honored to share with you one of six cards that I have featured in the awesome Simply Cards & Papercraft Magazine Issue 104. If you are not familiar with Simply Cards & Papercraft Magazine, it is a magazine brought to us from Practical Publishing located in the UK and is full of fabulous inspiration from designers around the world. I recently discovered that my local Jo-Ann Fabric & Craft store carries not only Simply Cards & Papercraft Magazine but many other publications offered by Practical Publishing.
Since this suite of six cards featuring MFT stamps and Die-namics dies is in the current Simply Cards & Papercraft Magazine Issue 104, I have permission to share this one card here on my blog. If you look closely, this card is on the cover in the upper right hand corner. For more information and details, please be sure to check out Simply Cards & Papercraft Magazine Issue 104. :)

Thanks so much for visiting! I hope you have a great day / evening!
