Autumn wishes 22

Mona Pendleton | Tuesday, October 18, 2016 @ 9:57 AM | , , , , ,

Hi there! Today I'm sharing an autumn themed project that I was inspired by the beautiful color palette for the October Prima's Product Pick challenge:
I created a mixed media style tag which features a variety of Prima products including: texture, pretty embellishments and lots of shimmery details:
I made the pumpkin using chipboard and steel bladed dies, assembled then applied Prima crackle texture paste. For a bit of shimmer, I applied Prima Metallique Gold Rush acrylic paint. I embellished with various Prima flowers, a resin owl and glittery gold leaves:
To create the background, I applied a coat of Prima white gesso once dry, I added texture using a Prima stencil and Prima texture paste. After that layer was dry, I adhered Prima pebbles and Prima Roman numeral embellishments. For color, I painted on Prima purple mica powder:
For the final step, I splashed on the following Prima products: white gesso, Metallique Pink Blush and  Metallique Gold Rush acrylic paints:
I'm also joining along with the current Curtain Call Inspiration challenge where the theme is Glittery Gourds:
and I'm linking to this week's Paint Party Friday site:
Many thanks for stopping by!

Hi there! Today I had a chance to join along with the beautiful September Prima Product Pick color challenge:
First up is a mixed media style greeting card that I created featuring a variety of Prima products including a stamped and embossed Prima butterfly, a variety of die cuts and flowers:

For the card sketch inspiration, I joined along with the Prima card sketch challenge:
Next up is a layout featuring a photo of sweet Meredith and Griffin that was taken several years ago:
I added lots of texture using a Prima stencil and texture paste. Once the paste was dry, I surrounded the photo with a lot of stamped butterflies and flowers:

Hi there! It's time for the monthly Prima Product Pick challenge and this month I'm joining along as an official Prima Design Team Member! Yahooo! In case you are not familiar with the Prima monthly challenges, there are just two simple rules: 1. Use as much Prima as possible (and only Prima flowers please!) 2. Enter before midnight on the last day of the month! You have ALL month to play!
I created a rather simple greeting card featuring pretty patterned papers from the Prima Bloom Collection ~ Bloom Girl Art Journal:

After piecing and stitching the papers in place, I embellished with a pretty Prima bloom:
For sketch inspiration, I joined along with the current Freshly Made Sketches sketch challenge:

Hi there! Hope you are off to a great start of the new week! Today I joined along with the January Prima Product Pick challenge:
I made a layout featuring a photo of my sweet daughter Angie several years ago when she was experimenting with various hair colors ;)
I combined pretty papers from the Prima Ephiphany collection along with various Prima blooms:
I added texture to the background using a Prima stencil, Prima Modeling Paste, Light Paste and Prima Gesso:
I added splashes of color using various Prima Color Bloom sprays to the background and to the Prima die cut gear embellishments:
I also embellished with a pair of die cut ice skates that I made using a Sizzix die. After painting, distressing and lacing up the skates, I adhered a die cut sprayed heart:
Here are a few of the products used to create this layout:
For sketch inspiration, I joined along with this week's Let's Get Sketchy sketch challenge which I rotated 90 degrees:
Many thanks for stopping by ~ I hope you have a great week!
