Welcome to another NinaB Designs blog hop. Nina, many NBD team members and I have something exciting for you today! Nina challenged us to create a project that uses the NinaB Designs Spellbinders die cuts along with NON-paper products.
I made a mixed media wall hanging using several of the dies ~ the small heart and the beautiful wings from the NinaB Designs' Home Sweet Home set to cut Spellbinders Premium Craft Foils:
as well as several dies from the Girlie Grunge Labels to cut Balsa wood, a Classic Heart die to cut Premium Craft Foil, dies from Creative Book Pages to cut canvas and corrugated cardboard and a Classic Scallop Edgeabilites to cut the canvas border.
Here is one of the many die sets I used:

If you are looking for additional creative ways to use your Spellbinders dies, Kim Hupke, the Educational Director of Spellbinders Paper Arts made a video, click HEREshowing all types of products you can cut using Spellbinders dies

Some Exciting News! 46

Mona Pendleton | Thursday, May 10, 2012 @ 9:30 PM | , , , ,

Sew happy it is Friday ;) This weekend is going to be a crazy busy one in my household! Connor qualified for the State Track and Field Finals in three events! I'm so proud of him! Fortunately, the event is held at a nearby Community College so we don't have travel far :) LOVE when that happens!

I have some exciting crafty news to share! The sweet Michelle White, Owner of Paper Tales in San Diego, CA has invited me to teach at her AMAZING store! It is a cozy, shabby chic sort of store full of all the bits and baubles one crafty soul could ask for! I will be teaching my first class on Friday, May 24th and another on Saturday, May 25th while I am there at my home away from home :)

The cards shown below are samples of what we will be making in Friday's class.
We will be playing with the new Melissa Frances C'est la Vie paper line along with MFT products and Spellbinders. We will be glamming up some grungeboard die cut elements from the Spellbinders Sewing Elements set:
and making lots of rolled roses:
Thanks so much for visiting! If you live near Paper Tales and want to have some fun or just go shopping in a BEAUTIFUL store, please be sure to stop by! Be Sweet :)

Welcome to the NinaB Designs's 2nd blog hop! We had a great time last month and we just want to thank you for your enthusiasm and encouraging words. The NBD Team has new projects to show you today featuring NinaB Designs Spellbinders™ Paper Arts Home Sweet Home and Sewing Elements die templates. ***This blog hop consists of some awesome prize give aways, so be sure to visit Nina's blog for COMPLETE details or click HERE.
We have added a new twist to our hop. Not only do we have tons of inspiration for you, but we also are joining in the Crafty Friends Challenge that you also may participate in. And of course, there will be prizes up for grabs! You will find COMPLETE info on Nina's blog. The challenge is to create a project featuring at least TWO die cuts ~ they don't have to come from two different die cut sets.

For my project, I created a page in my art journal using a variety of Spellbinders die templates along with fun patterned paper from the Pink Paislee She Art collection. I've combined several techniques that I learned from taking Christy Tomlinson's She Art Workshop.
To create the little houses I used a combined Spellbinders Home Sweet Home designed by Nina :) along with a heart die from the Mix'd Media Elements:

The sun was made using a combination of a Spellbinders Standard Circles SMNested Lacey Pennants and Nested Pennants:
and lastly, the butterfly shown below was made using a die from Spellbinders Fanciful Flight:
Here's a photo showing the die templates along with the coordinating die cuts:
Here's to those who would like to know what paint and markers I used on this project:

We are so thrilled to have you join us on this very special day! Nina, the entire Design Team including myself have some inspirational projects to share with you featuring the Nina B Designs' Spellbinders™ Paper ArtsHome Sweet Home and Sewing Elements die templates. I created a mini wall hanging that features many dies from the darling Home Sweet Home die template set:
The Home Sweet Home die template set is full of so many fun and versatile dies! To make this project, I stitched the die cut house and roof into place, topped the chimney off with a glittered heart shaped button made from coaster material then stitched a felt heart and button:
Using the two different size flower shaped dies, I made lots of layered blossoms and sprinkled them about:
Take a look at how many fun and useful dies that the Home Sweet Home set contains:
