Memories...JUGS30 49

Mona Pendleton | Friday, April 23, 2010 @ 8:57 PM | , ,

Hi Everyone! I hope you are ready to think "outside of a card" because it is time again for a template challenge with Just Us Girls! This week I am Hostessing the JUGS30 template challenge & Lauren, Owner/Designer of the fabulous My Time Made Easy LLC products is sponsoring the challenge! Lauren has graciously given all of the JUGS Design Team girls the MTME © Pucker Up template that will be released May 1st! Please feel free to use ANY template that you have on hand! We would love to see a MTME template but if you don't own one, you can find a FREE MTME one - click HERE or visit the Splitcoaststampers Resource site - click HERE. I hope you come join the fun with Just Us Girls & our April Featured Designer: Sue! Thank you so much Sue for joining along with Just Us Girls as our Featured Designer :) Lauren will be giving away to ONE lucky participant, a FREE MTME template! You must play to win :)

Here is my ©Pucker Up sample:

I did not stamp a thing to make this project! I trimmed a Prima chipboard label to the desired size, then layered it on top a piece of cs cut from the Spellbinders ™ Large Deckled Mega Rectangle Mega Nestabilitie™.

I stitched on a lil' piece of lace & added a button to the label.

These butterfly embellishments were super easy to make :) I layered 2 butterflies cut from the ™ Flying Beauties set, inked the edges & adhered together then placed a pearl in the center of each.

That's all I have for today! :) Be Sweet!

For all the juicy details, please visit the Just Us Girls challenge site & be sure to visit ALL the DT girls (found on my side bar) as well as Sue! Once you have your project photographed, be sure to go to Just Us Girls and post a direct link to your project on our site. If you upload to on online gallery, please be sure to label your project as JUGS30.

Deadline to be considered for the weekly "Chic of the Week" will be 9:00 PM EST on Thursday, April 29th. Our Inlinkz tool will also close at that time. Our top pick "Chic of the Week" will be announced on Friday morning following the deadline.

My Time Made Easy March Release 40

Mona Pendleton | Thursday, February 25, 2010 @ 9:57 PM |

Hi Everyone! Today, I am sharing a baby gift set made using the NEW My Time Made Easy © Pretty Packaging: Bouncing Baby Buggy template along with the My Time Made Easy © Pretty Impressions: Bringing Home Baby & Fanciful Flourishes products that will be available March 1st in the My Time Made Easy webstore.

Lauren & Pam will be sharing their wonderful creations today, so please hop on over to their blogs to see what they have done with these awesome products!

Here is my Vintage-Style Bouncing Baby Buggy Gift set:
I made a "full" size MTME © Bouncing Baby Buggy template. To give you an idea of the actual size, the bunny in the photo really fits inside the buggy! When I first saw this template, an "old-fashioned" elegant buggy came to mind. I ran with that vision & started by stitching lace trim around the "hood" & around the perimeter. I also adorned each panel of the buggy with embossed, distressed cardstock. For an extra touch of detail, I stamped & embossed the elegant MTME © Fanciful Flourishes on several butterflies cut using the Spellbinders Butterfly die. I made the Buggy wheels out of a light weight chipboard cut using a Sizzix Bigz die & secured each with a brad. This provides reinforcement allowing me to fill the buggy with heavier items. Remember: Lauren's MTME © templates are available in various cutting formats which allows for size flexibility to suit your specific needs! The possibilities are endless & totally customizable!
The © Bringing Home Baby stamp sets contains a wide variety of useful stamps. To make this tag, I inked up the smaller buggy image & the "Bringing Home Baby" sentiment with VersaMark then embossed with gold embossing powder.
I was having so much fun creating with the new MTME © Pretty Impressions: Bringing Home Baby & Fanciful Flourishes stamp sets, I made a card to accompany my Buggy. The © Fanciful Flourishes set is extremely elegant as you can see! The set has several gorgeous flourishes, making it difficult to choose which one to use! To sum it up - in my opinion, the MTME © Bringing Home Baby & Fanciful Flourishes stamps sets are simply incredibly elegant & beautiful!

That's it for today. Thanks so much for looking! Please be sure to stop by BOTH Lauren & Pam's blogs to see their creations!

I have been very busy creating with all the new My Time Made Easy products for the upcoming March Release so, please be sure to stop by frequently so you will not miss anything! Be Sweet!

Just Us Girls Technique Challenge......JUGS15 58

Mona Pendleton | Friday, January 8, 2010 @ 10:00 PM | , , , ,

Hi Friends! Thanks to all of you who played along with the Just Us Girls sketch challenge last week! Lisa's sketch was so incredibly popular :) This week, I am the Hostess for the JUGS15 Technique challenge & I chose to Add stitching to your project! It doesn't matter if you stitch something on your card by hand, faux stitch or put your machine to use! We simply would like to see your creation in stitches! :)

Here is my card:

As you can see, I stitched the entire perimeter of each rectangle :) I was first a "sewer" before I ever dreamed of playing with paper & ink! My dear mom taught me how to sew when I was very young & I was hooked ever since. I used to make all of my daughter's dresses & doll clothes :) I dusted off my sewing machine & gave sewing a try on my cards a few months ago. Now, I can't put it away :) I am so crazy about the new MTME © Pretty Printables: Flutters & Flowers & Fluttering-by digital paper! All the DP that you see here is from those collections!

Here is my Valentine Set:

I loove to give gift sets - so how easy to give a lovely MTME © In A Pinch gift box full of Kisses!

I just had to play along with the embellish magazine's color challenge with Hearts! Doesn't this photo inspiration look soooo YUMMY, bright & cheerful :)

For sketch inspiration, I played along with the girls at Kazan's awesome sketch #43 from 2Sketches4You. That long rectangle right smack dead center, was screaming for heart embellishments :) The text on this paper is so fun & whimsical! Believe it or not, I only used ONE stamp on this card - I think that is a 1st for me! I inked up the sweet MTME © sentiment with SU Basic Black ink & stamped it then, using the smallest beautifully ornate Spellbinders Labels 5 die, I placed it right over the image & cut it out with my Sizzix Big Shot Express machine. Please be sure to visit both of the challenge sites & take a peek at what the DT's & players have created for your viewing pleasure!

The MTME © In A Pinch template is so easy to use & versatile, you can pack it full of virtually any sort of sweet treats for your Valentine! :) All 4 panels make for great space to stitch your favorite DP to :)

I hope you can join along with Just Us Girls this week :) For complete details, please visit the Just Us Girls challenge site & be sure to visit ALL the DT girls & leave them some love:

Baby Blues....More My Time Made Easy 38

Mona Pendleton | Thursday, January 7, 2010 @ 9:54 PM |

Hi Friends! Today, I am here to show you yet another way to use the My Time Made Easy LLC © Pretty Impressions: All A Flutter stamp set along with My Time Made Easy LLC © Pretty Printables: All A Flutter paper & My Time Made Easy LLC © Pretty Packaging Shutt-erfly template. Our dear friends, DiDi & Quintin, just welcomed the arrival of Baby Boy Kingsley to their family so, I made them this gift set.

Lauren & Pam will be sharing their awesome creations today, so please hop on over to their blogs to see what they have done!

Here is my Baby Blues gift set:

I made a coordinating card & Shutt-erfly © gift box to accompany my gift. (NOTE: the baby shoes in the photo were my 21 yr old son's first pair of shoes & the teddy bear came from my 19 yr old daughter's collection that I am saving because I know, one day they will both want these treasures :) The Shutt-erfly © template is so useful for any occasion gift giving & you can easily embellish all 4 sides. I love this All A Flutter © Brown Polka Dot printable paper :) (I probably sound like a broken record, but I really hope Lauren offers this in EVERY color imaginable! It is so pretty & versatile!)
To make this tag, I first cut a circle using a Spellbinder's circle die from a piece of SU Very Vanilla cs, then I embossed the Cuttlebug baby foot prints. I placed the sweet image from the All A Flutter © stamp set on the stamping block sort of bending it as I secured it in place, then I inked it up with SU Chocolate Chip ink & stamped. I rubbed some Ranger Tim Holtz ink around the edges & gently around the embossed image, then layered with various sizes of Spellbinder's Scalloped Circles. I embellished all four sides of the Shutt-erfly © box with some multi-layered flower embellies. Some are made using various Shutt-erfly © & All A Flutter © Pretty Printables paper. How cool is that to make your own coordinating embellies?! If you run low, just print some more :)For color inspiration, I played along with the fun colors in Dawn's RSCC #21 & for sketch inspiration, I played along with Mercy's awesome sketch challenge, MTSC55. If you want some wonderful inspiration, I recommend visiting both of these sites & see what these girls, as well as the other players have created :)

That is all I have to share today. Thanks for looking & remember if you create something, anything using these products, please share! Be Sweet!

Tomorrow, I will be back with another Just Us Girls challenge & I am the Hostess :)

Butterfly Scraps...More My Time Made Easy 25

Mona Pendleton | Wednesday, January 6, 2010 @ 10:00 PM |

Hello Friends! This is going to be a short & sweet post, I promise! I had some "me" time today so I took advantage & made a card to share with you more of the new My Time Made Easy LLC © Pretty Impressions: All A Flutter & All A Flutter Sentiments stamp sets, My Time Made Easy LLC © Pretty Printables: Fluttering By & Shutt-erfly.

Lauren & Tracey will be sharing some incredible projects today, so please be sure to stop by & show them some love!

Here is my Butterfly card made from scraps:
The My Time Made Easy LLC © Pretty Impressions: All A Flutter Sentiments stamp set is full of so many beautiful sayings, making it difficult to just choose one! I am super happy with the one I chose :) If you click the picture, it will enlarge & you will be able to read the sentiment in its entirety.

You may have noticed I have been creating many projects using the beautiful My Time Made Easy LLC © Pretty Printables: Fluttering By & Shutt-erfly. As like most of you, I hoard my scraps!! If I can squeeze at least 1 more flower from a piece of leftover cs, I save it!!! I made this card from those left over pieces of gorgeous cs that I just didn't have the heart to toss! I stitched several pieces of scraps together from my previous projects using My Time Made Easy LLC © Pretty Printables: Fluttering By & Shutt-erfly. I would like to give a BIG shout out to my fellow Just Us Girls DT member, Kristin! In case you haven't heard the news, Kristin has been chosen to join the Color Throwdown DT! Yeah!! Way to go :) It just so happens that Lauren is sponsoring this week's CTD74 & has inspired the palette for this week's color inspiration! So of course, I showed my love & support for my both of my sweet friends & played along! Funny thing is, I met BOTH Lauren & Kristin through Lauren's prior My Time To Create challenges :) I hope to meet many more wonderful people through upcoming challenges ;) Please be sure to visit Lauren, Kristin & ALL the girls at the Color Throwdown for amazing inspiration!

To make the sweet little butterfly embellishment, I inked up the solid "outline" butterfly image from the MTME © All A Flutter set with SU Chocolate Chip ink & stamped it on a scrap piece of the MTME © Shutt-erfly Pink Dot digi paper x 2 then cut it out & adhered it to my card using a brad. I gave it some antennae from twine in my stash! The left upper flower was made from the MTME © Fluttering-By Brown Definitions paper layered x 4 & the mid to left lower flower was made from several layers using a mix of both MTME © Fluttering-By MTME © Shutt-erfly scraps. I think this qualifies for Nichole's Scrap-tastic challenge :)

Sort of short & sweet right? I had so much to share :) Thanks for looking & remember if you create something, anything using these products, please share! I will be back tomorrow to share a few more treats :) Be Sweet!

Fluttering By with More My Time Made Easy 26

Mona Pendleton | Tuesday, January 5, 2010 @ 9:55 PM |

Hi Everyone! Hopefully by now you have had a chance to see so many inspirational projects presented by Lauren & ALL the My Time Made Easy Design Team girls!? If you haven't seen theirs, I recommend hopping on over & show them some love! Have you seen my first My Time Made Easy Official Release projects or my Butterfly Garden featuring the NEW My Time Made Easy products? If not, please feel free to scroll down & just maybe you will be inspired to get creating with these gorgeous stamps, papers, templates & cut files! Today, BOTH Lauren & Kristin will be sharing some incredible projects along with me! I will be showcasing another set of both My Time Made Easy LLC © Pretty Packaging: All A Flutter & Shutt-erfly templates featuring the My Time Made Easy LLC © Pretty Impressions: All A Flutter & All A Flutter Sentiments stamp sets, My Time Made Easy LLC © Pretty Printables: Fluttering By & My Time Made Easy LLC © Pretty Pieces: Flutters & Flowers.

Here is my All A Flutter © Gift Bag & Tag set #2:As you can see in both of these photos (above & below) that I made 2 different sizes of the All A Flutter © Gift Bags! That is one of the awesome features about the MTME © Pretty Packaging templates - they are available in various electrical cutting formats which allows you to make the perfect sized bag to accommodate your personal needs! TOTALLY CUSTOMIZABLE!Using my Cricut Expressions along with the SCAL program, I cut the 2 various sizes All A Flutter © gift bag. The larger of the two measures 6.79"W x 6.94"H and the smaller measures 4.89"W x5.0"H. :) I cut the "wing prints" out of Basic Grey DP & rubbed them with a bit of Ranger Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink. Now for the tag - First, I stamped the MTME © "Follow Your Dreams" image from the © All A Flutter Sentiments set using SU Rich Razzleberry ink x 2, cutting out one entire image & coloring it with Copic R20 Blush marker then using image #2, I just cut out the "Follow Your Dreams" sentiment & adhered it to image #1, making the sentiment really show! If you enlarge this tag photo, you will notice the smaller layer of the tag that the butterfly is attached to is a piece of the MTME © Pretty Printables: Fluttering By - Brown Definitions paper. The tag itself was cut using the Spellbinders Labels 1 dies layered x 2 with SU Chocolate Chip,Rich Razzleberry & Naturals Ivory cs. I added a bit of texture to the tag using the Cuttlebug Stylized Flowers EF, inked the edges then stitched the tag together. I love flower embellishments or any embellishment for that matter! :) My dear sister hand crochets all of my fleurettes :)
I wanted to show you how versatile many of the MTME © Pretty Impressions stamps really are! With just one image, you can make a beautiful tag!I inked up this gorgeous MTME © All A Flutter sentiment image with SU Rich Razzleberry ink, stamped then cut it out using a Spellbinders Circle die. It fit perfectly! If ever in a time crunch & don't have time to make a card - make a tag! How easy is that? Surely to make any gift bag look gorgeous!

I hope you are not tired yet! I have to show you some more goodies! :)

Here is my Shutt-erfly Gift Bag & Tag #2:

I really wanted to show you how awesome this MTME © Shutt-erfly template really is! Just like the All A Flutter © I made 2 various sizes. The final measurement of the larger one measures from top to bottom 6"H x 3"W x 3"D and the smaller - 5"H x 2.5"W x 2.5"D. If you haven't used your electric cutting machine to cut your templates - you have no idea what you are missing! With a few clicks on both your computer & Cricut, you will have templates in no time at all!

Do you recognize these butterflies? If not, be sure to check out my Butterfly Garden post from yesterday! I show you my creative process on how these little creatures came to being & just how easy it is to create with these fun MTME © Pretty Impressions acrylic stamps & the MTME © Pretty Pieces: Flutters & Flowers.
!

The All A Flutter © set is one of my faves - it comes with several different "wing print" patterns allowing you to create a wide array of various butterflies!

To make this little tag, I inked up the sentiment image in the photo above from the All A Flutter © set with SU Chocolate Chip ink then punched it out, adhered it to the SU Really Rust tag, attached a heart & button! How sweet & simple is that? YET - looks so amazingly cute!

That's all I have for today! I hope you enjoyed seeing what I have been able to create using these new fabulous My Time Made Easy products? I would love to see what you create! Please remember to send me an email with a pic or link :) Be sure to check back later this week - I will have some more to share :) Be Sweet!
