May WMS Previews Day #1 76

Mona Pendleton | Thursday, April 28, 2011 @ 12:00 AM | , , , ,

Hi there! Welcome to May Waltzingmouse Stamps Previews Day #1! Claire will be releasing FIVE new stamp sets on Sunday, May 1st & for the next 3 days, Claire, the Waltzingmouse DT & myself will be sharing some awesome samples of inspiration showcasing these amazing stamps!  Today, we are all previewing Gingham & Co. while focusing on projects for those special women in life known as Moms or Mothers :)

First up, I made a card using one of the gingham images to create some background paper: (shown on the left & right sides):
Gingham & Co. set not only contains various gingham images but an awesome "solid" polka dot stamp! I inked up the polka dot stamp with SU Pretty In Pink ink then used a couple of die templates to create a butterfly embellishment:
My second card features a polka dot rose with gingham leaves:
To make the rose, I stamped the polka dot image followed by the rose then, I paper pieced the rose and added a brad to the center. I created the gingham leaves by stamping a gingham image from Gingham & Co. then using several leaf dies from Spellbinders™ Nested Leaves.
That wraps it up for today. Thanks for looking! For some awesome inspiration, please be sure to see what Claire and the rest of the Waltzingmouse DT have created:

Hope you stop by tomorrow to what I have to share for the May Waltzingmouse Stamps Preview Day #2. Be Sweet :)

Mona Pendleton | Saturday, March 19, 2011 @ 9:00 PM | , , , , , ,

Hi there! Hope you are all having a fantastic weekend! It's time for another CR84FN Color Challenge! Thanks to all who played along with last week's color combo ~ so many wonderful cards to see and many thanks to all of you who take time to leave such sweet comments!
This week we are playing with PLUM, LAVENDER AND GREEN. The beautiful color graphic was created using photos courtesy of Adam at embrace life photography.

I turned to some gorgeous Webster's Pages patterned paper and many of my favorite other papercrafting supplies to create my card.
Not a whole lot of stamping going on here except this sweet little tag. I stamped a label using an image from Waltzingmouse Very Vintage Labels No. 18 then cut/embossed using a S4-310 Labels Eighteen die template.
Please hop on over to CR84FN for COMPLETE details on how to join in the fun and for some awesome inspiration, please visit all the designers blogs:

That's all for now. Hope you have a wonderful day and perhaps play along! Be Sweet :)

BINGO Christmas mini 46

Mona Pendleton | Friday, November 26, 2010 @ 11:52 PM | , ,

Hi there! I'm here today to share a mini memory album using mainly Melissa Frances products. I was hoping to teach a how-to work shop creating this project but simply ran out of time. I have something else up my sleeve for one of my favorite upcoming Holidays - so perhaps then it will all work out ;) This BINGO book was featured on the Melissa Frances blog yesterday (HERE) but I wanted to share a few of the personal details:

On the cover, is a photo of my step children, Meredith and Connor in front of the Christmas tree: (Please keep in mind when looking at this book that I used a mixture of pics from several years ago. Jerry is now 22, Angie 20, Connor 15, Meredith 13, Louis, my Father-in-law is now resting in peace and Barbara, my Mother-in-law, Scott and myself remain FOREVER young ;)

On the left hand side are my children: Angie on the top in front of the tree and Jerry below peeking at a gift. On the right hand side is Connor checking the chimney to be sure Santa did not get stuck! Oh, the innocence of days gone by ;)
Up next, on the left hand side is Connor opening a gift while wearing his Boston Red Sox Santa hat. On the right hand side are Connor and Meredith helping me decorate cookies and sample a few for quality control ;)
Next up, on the left hand side are both my Father and Mother-in-law and on the right hand side is Scott sporting his Santa hat ;)
Last but not least, on the left hand side we have Meredith reading Scott a lil' book that she made extra special for him and on the left hand side is Connor sharing some love with Scott ;)
I had a lot of fun making this lil' book combining so many of my favorite products and reminiscing as I placed each photo in it's place. Thanks so much for looking and I hope you take a peek at the Melissa Frances blog to have a look at all the other amazing Holiday projects! Have a great weekend :)
