Thinking of you... 35

Mona Pendleton | Saturday, August 6, 2011 @ 7:00 AM | , ,

Hi there! Welcome to the second day of the JustRite Stampers August Release! Today members of the JustRite DT and myself are sharing projects focusing on the new CLEAR Be Strong stamp set ~ JustRite's first CLEAR set! This is yet another AMAZING set that will help generate funds for Ovarian Cancer Research!
JustRite IS Crafting For a Cause
In an effort to find an early diagnostic test or screening tool for Ovarian Cancer, JustRite Crafting For a Cause will donate 20% of the sales from Be Strong and Courage and Strength in 2011 to Ovarian Cancer Research. To learn more about the symptoms of this “silent killer “ visit www.OvarianCancer.org.

For this special event, JustRite Stampers is introducing its very first CLEAR stamp set!
I made a card all pretty in pink in honor of Breast Cancer awareness.
Be Strong is full of so many images and sentiments that can easily mixed and matched. For today's card, I stamped the beautiful ornate solid image using PTI Raspberry Fizz ink, using a Spellbinders Labels Four die template to cut the image then I stamped the larger of the two ribbon images on a piece of MM colored cs, trimmed around the edges, added some glitter then adhered to the label using a 3D foam square.
If you have visited me before, you know how much I LOVE tags! This set if full of many multi-purpose sentiments that make beautiful tags. Using a Cuttlebug die, I cut a tag, stamped the Thinking of You sentiment using Memento Tuxedo Black ink followed by the sweet motif.
Here is a look at the COMPLETE Be Strong set:
Here is a ribbon color chart provided courtesy of Kellie at JustRite Stampers that you may want to use as a quick reference guide when creating your projects:
Thanks so much for visiting today! For some awesome inspiration, please be sure to see what the other JustRite DT members created using this fabulous stamp set:

Happy Birthday JennyLee! 45

Mona Pendleton | Wednesday, March 2, 2011 @ 10:32 PM | , ,

Hi there! Hope you are all having a great week! Here today to share a Birthday card I made for niece JennyLee who is more like a "little" sister than me. It's another CAS card of sorts. Not a whole lot of the extra "fluff" that I LOVE so much ;)
I pieced several patterns from the Making Memories Je t'adore Collection, added a bow, Prima rose and topped it off with the elegant Happy Birthday sentiment from Waltzingmouse Say it with Style.
For sketch inspiration, I played along with last week's Stampin' Royalty Sketch Challenge: (I'm too late to enter, but I loved the sketch anyways :)
Thanks for visiting today! Hope you have a great day ~ Be Sweet!

Supplies Used:

hugs & kisses 48

Mona Pendleton | Wednesday, February 2, 2011 @ 10:37 PM | , , , , ,

Hi there! After reading the responses on yesterday's post here on my blog, I get the feeling that many of you are as excited as I am for the new Spellbinders dies! I was sorting through my cardstock and came across this darling Making Memories DP from last years Love Struck collection. The Waltzingmouse Teeny Trees  set immediately popped into my crafty mind :)
I first stamped an image from Waltzingmouse Vintage Circles, Small, then I stamped the teeny tree, bird and hugs sentiment from Waltzingmouse Teeny Trees in the center then used a S4-114 Standard Circles LG die template to cut/emboss the sweet scene :)
I think Claire's little bird from Teeny Trees is a perfect fit with the DP~isn't it darling?
The ticket shown above is from PTI Just the Ticket set and the heart in the center is from Waltzingmouse Sweethearts.

Be honest with me, are tired of looking at Valentine cards by now or are you finding inspiration to create one for your sweetie? :) Thanks so much for looking! Be Sweet :)

A Love Banner 61

Mona Pendleton | @ 12:23 AM | , ,

Hi there! Half way through the week already~can you believe it??? Now that CHA is over and all the Spellbinders die templates have been revealed, I would like to share a few of my faves :) I made this banner with a lot of love as a decoration to hang on the mantle in the family room. I apologize in advance that the pic of the entire banner is not the greatest as it is very difficult to photograph in it's entirety so I took a few close ups as well.
I made this banner using S5-029 Nested Lacey Pennants and S5-028 Nested Pennants die templates along with Making Memories DP showcasing various doilies and the beautiful flourish image from Flourishes Fanciful Flourishes. I was inspired to create this for this week's Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge, FTTC103 where my dear blogging friend Silke is challenging us to create a Valentine card/creation.

First up, is a doily from S5-042 Fleur de Lis Doily Accents. Each doily displays a layered scalloped heart embellishment. I stamped the heart flourish image from Flourishes Fanciful Flourishes with VersaMark ink, embossed using white embossing powder, then using a S4-136 Classic Heart die template to cut the image and layered on top of a scalloped heart cut using a S4-137 Classic Scalloped Heart die template. All the lil' rose buds were a fabulous gift from my sweet friend Suzanne :)
Next, a doily from S5-041 Floral Doily Motifs:
Last but not least, a doily from S5-043 Fleur de Lis Doily Motifs:
Strung in between each pennant is a layered scalloped heart with a darling lil' butterfly fluttering about. I used the butterfly die template from S4-123 Flying Beauties to cut/emboss and stencil all the butterflies :)
What die templates are your MUST have list? Are you like me and WANT and NEED them all? :) LOL
Be Sweet :)

Flowers & Flourishes 28

Mona Pendleton | Saturday, November 28, 2009 @ 10:00 PM | , , , , , , ,

Hi Everyone! I hope all of you had a Wonderful Thanksgiving Day (if you celebrated) & I hope you survived the crowds, if you were out shopping on Black Friday!
First, I must share with you the randomly chosen winner of my homespun butterflies from my Buttons & Butterflies post. The Winner is......
Isabel Jett
Isabel, please contact me prior to Wednesday, December 2nd so I can get your goodies to you!!! :)
I have had the Honor of being the November Guest Designer at the Pile it on! challenge site & the pleasure of working along with the super talented DT members! Thank you ladies!!! As a little reminder, Pile it on! is a challenge site that offers a new challenge every Sunday. They would like you to incorporate their challenge with at least one other CURRENT challenge (at the time of posting) to "qualify" to be one of their Three Top Scoops or should there be a prize offered that week. The girls at Pile it on! asked me to be this week's Hostess!!! I chose the challenge to focus on Flowers & Flourishes, TWO of my favorite things, especially when combined :) I played around with Photoshop & made this graphic for the PIO #26, Flowers & Flourishes challenge! I made a Mother's Day card & some fleurettes using the following additional challenges: 2. For color inspiration: Splitcoast color challenge #246 which is to use Old Olive, Pretty in Pink, Bermuda Bay or (Taken with Teal) - I used Taken with Teal & neutrals 3. For sketch inspiration: Mercy Tuesday Sketch challenge #49, MTSC49 4. The Cat's Pajamas Tuesday challenge - EMBOSSING & 5. Crazy for Challenges Week 13 - Punch Happy (use at least one punch).

I really enjoy playing along with challenges & I encourage of all you to do the same if you don't already! It is a super fun way to meet many people with a common interest (papercrafting), develop your style & skills while completing your projects!!! :) Please be sure to stop by all of the sites I have mentioned & see what their DT's have created to get you inspired! If you don't play along in challenges, I would love to know why not? Be Sweet!

Here is my Mother's Day card & fleurettes:I inked up several PTI Fancy Flourishes images with VersaMark ink, sprinkled on some Filigree white embossing powder then heat set. The white embossed flourishes "pop" off the SU Kraft cs. I embossed most of the lil' fleurettes using the Cuttlebug Textile texture EF then sponged the edges with Ranger Tea Dye ink.
I gave the BIG pink blossom a vintagey look by crinkling it up then sponging the edges with a little Ranger Tea dye ink. Using the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder, I added a lil' texture to the leaves :)
I cut a mat using my Cricut Expressions & the Accent Essentials cart to show the flower emellishments. I stamped some flourish images using VersaMark then embossed with Filigree white embossing powder. Ingredients Used: Stamps: PTI Fancy Flourishes, Damask Designs, SU Fancy Flexible Phrases Paper: SU Pretty in Pink, Taken with Teal, Old Olive, Whisper White, Kraft Ink: Ranger Tea Dye ink, VersaMark, SU Basic Black, Taken with Teal, Craft White Sprinkles: Cuttlebug Textile texture EF, Spellbinders Dahlia & Labels 4 dies, Offray ribbon, SU silver cord, Sizzix Sizzlit tag, Making Memories hardware, EK Success border & flower punches, Filigree white & clear embossing powder

My Get Well Wishes Gift Set was randomly chosen as the winner of last week's Use It! challenge #23! Yeah :) As the winner, I will be creating the Use It! challenge for next week so please be sure to give it a try! Every week, it is some sort of new challenge. If you are interested in putting your creative skills to work, give it a go! This week's Use It! challenge #24, these few simple guidelines were to be followed: 1. Make a Cute Paper Gift (I used Nichole Heady's FREE birdhouse template), 2. Bling It Up (I used crystal eyelet brads), 3. Add a Tag (one of MY FAVORITE THINGS :)), 4. Cut Out Some Flowers (I used Quickutz Pointsettia die), 5. Tie it Up (you know I LOVE LOTS of ribbon). If ANY of you ladies are looking for some inspiration or a challenge, I recommend visiting either of these sites! REMEMBER: On Friday, August 28th, I will be creating the Use It! challenge so be sure to stop by & see what I have come up with & give it a try! :) I would love to know if you are feeling inspired?
