Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate! I have MANY things that I am thankful for and one of them is YOU, the ones who take the time to visit my blog :) I can't thank you enough for not only taking the time to visit but I'm so grateful for the kind and encouraging comments. They mean so much!
I took some time for myself to create this sweet owl painting simply for fun! I am pretty sure she will leave the nest here at my house and find a new one at Tina's :) If you missed my other girl, you can see her HERE on THIS post.
After creating the background with a variety of paints, I sketched on the owl then brought her to life with LOTS of layers of paint. Once the project was dry, I applied various rub-ons from my stash. My dear husband Scott says I that I "tatted" her wing with that flower rub-on! :) LOL
For added texture and design, I used the Teardrop Stencil:
I'm a work in progress and I feel as though there is plenty of room for improvement! I can't wait to get painting another! :) If you are interested in learning how to paint an owl, I took the on-line course "How to paint an owl 2" from the talented artist Juliette Crane and I highly recommend it!
Thanks so much for visiting and thanks again from the bottom of my heart for your support!
Be Sweet ;)
