adventure... 35

Mona Pendleton | Friday, April 25, 2014 @ 8:00 PM | , , , , , , ,

Hi there! Are you ready for the weekend? I'm so excited because I had a chance to create just for fun so I joined along with the Prima: April Build-A-Page sketch challenge.
I created a layout featuring a photo of Scott that I took while we were on vacation in Rome. I started by layering various papers from the fabulous Cartographer Collection which screams an old world style, coordinating perfectly with my photo and theme I was trying to capture. One of the rules is that you need to use at least 90% Prima products (which I did with no trouble).
I stamped a variety of clocks from Timeless as well as one of the fun images from Collage Backgrounds followed with randomly stenciled on circles using various mediums from my stash:
Once I had the background completed, I stitched on the photo after cutting it into thirds:
I had loads of fun embellishing with an assortment of awesome Prima metal trinkets and of course beautiful blooms:
For the sentiment, I stamped the word exploring using a fun set of Prima typewriter font stamps:
Thanks so much for visiting ~ I hope you have a great weekend!
Be Sweet ;)

After creating the background with a variety of patterned papers from my stash, I added lots of texture:

The diamond pattern was created using the Graduated Diamonds Stencil. I randomly stamped the text image from Collage Backgrounds and stamped a sentiment for the title from Timeless:

Tonight I have a variety of projects to share focusing on my newest products: Winged Beauties stamp set, Die-namics Winged Beauties, the Winged Beauties Stencil, the Scallops Stencil, the Checkerboard Stencil and the Houndstooth Stencil while of course including many other fab products included in the new release.

First up is a layout featuring a photo of me taking my sweet Westies: Gretchen and Griffin for a stroll :)
To create this layout, I stitched a piece of paper that I made using the Gelli Arts plate onto a piece of card stock then using the Winged Beauties Stencil, I added a trail of fluttering butterflies.
I embellished it with Contemporary Roses:
and various sized Winged Beauties:
Layered behind the photo is pretty die cut paper that was created using the Die-namics Fancy Butterflies die and I stamped a few sentiments using LLD Journal It - Take Note then adorned each sentiment with small butterflies made using Die-namics Winged Beauties:
Next up is another layout featuring a photo of Meredith feeding the giraffes at the San Diego Wild Animal Park several years ago:
Using the Houndstooth Stencil, I added a lot of texture and design to the background then embellished with various butterflies made using Winged Beauties

as well as the Die-namics Fancy Butterflies die:
I also embellished with stamped / die cut Contemporary Roses along with a variety of handmade rolled roses:
I journaled on a die cut piece of notebook paper that was made using a Die-namics Mini Album Torn Notebook STAX die. I stamped the paper lines, checkmark and title using images from LLD Journal It - Take Note and also added a clock made using MPD Timeless
Last but not least is a card featuring a back ground that was stenciled using the Scallops Stencil and topped off with a butterfly and sentiment from the Winged Beauties stamp set
Thanks so much for visiting ~ I hope you enjoyed my projects today!

Thank You 37

Mona Pendleton | Saturday, August 24, 2013 @ 3:25 PM | , , , ,

Happy Saturday! Hope you are having a great weekend! I was feeling crafty but didn't want to make an inky mess quite yet so I pulled out some pretty patterned paper, stamps and dies and made a Thank you card. Can never have too many of these in my stash!

I combined a pretty clock from Timeless with a fancy teapot from Always Time for Tea.
For the sentiment tag, I stamped the Thank you sentiment from Blissful Butterflies on a die cut tag made using a die from Die-namics Blueprints 2
For inspiration, I referred to the Moxie Fab World: Tuesday Trigger: Now that's my cup of tea! challenge. I was inspired by the word "tea" and opted to feature a teapot rather than a teacup while focusing on the pastel yellow and blue colors in the pretty inspiration photo.
Thanks so much for stopping by ~ hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!

I bought this oversize fully functioning alarm clock from Target in the children's section and completely disassembled it.
After taking it apart, I added lots of texture, paints, embossing enamels and crackle medium. I die cut a photo of Jerry and April using a Die-namics Pierced Square STAX for my focal point then surrounded it with a variety of die cut embellishments. Shown below is one of the four clocks from Timeless as well as die cut / embossed gears and cogs made using Die-namics Time Pieces
Shown below is another clock from Timeless ~ I included the die cut hands and the face overlay ~ both made using the coordinating Die-namics Time Pieces. I embellished with many flowers using the following Die-namics dies: Die-namics Layered Rose,  Die-namics Mini Royal Roses and Die-namics Mini Rolled Roses.
To completed the project with a stamped die cut tag that was made using the fun tag from Die-namics Blueprints 6 along with a collage image from Collage Backgrounds and a sentiment from Timeless.

Enjoy the Ride...MFT Aug Teasers Day 4 53

Mona Pendleton | Friday, August 2, 2013 @ 9:00 PM | , , , , , ,

Hi there! Welcome to Day 4 MFT August Teasers! The new products will be available on Tuesday, August 6th at 10 PM Eastern in the MFT Boutique. This release, just like ALL of MFT's releases is overflowing with amazing products! Be sure to hop over to the MFT Blog for a list of today's participating designers along with the amazing prize info!

First up is a layout that I made featuring a photo of Angie and her racing bike ( photo courtesy of Fit Bike Co).
To begin, I created the background using the MPD Gears Stencil along with Pink Lemonade ink. I trimmed the paper to size, distressed along the edges then stitched to another piece of cs.
I added a lot of texture using the MPD Brick Wall Stencil with fiber paste. The title was stamped using words from LLD Document It - Enjoy the Journey using both Black Licorice and Pink Lemonade ink.
I stamped one of the clocks from Timeless on the coordinating die cut made using Die-namics Time Pieces then adhered the embossed face decorative overlay and attached the hands. I surrounded the clock with embossed gears and cogs made using Die-namics Time Pieces as well as flowers made using Die-namics Mini Royal Roses and Die-namics Mini Rolled Roses.
Peeking out from under the torn edges is the gears image from MPD Collage Backgrounds:
and the strips peeking out from under the photo were stamped using two more images from MPD Collage Backgrounds:

I also made a thank you card featuring a different clock face from Timeless:
I layered the clock on top of a die cut doily and die cut strip that was made using Die-namics Layered Treat Tag. The tag in the background was stamped with the text stamp from MPD Collage Backgrounds:
Thanks so much for visiting ~ I hope you enjoyed my projects!
Be sure to stop by the MFT Blog to see what the rest of the team has created. You'll also read about some HUGE prizes being given away this week during Teaser Time that you won't want to miss! I'll be back tomorrow with more to share for Day 3. Hope to see you then!
Be Sweet :)
