Friends and a publication... 75

Mona Pendleton | Tuesday, September 6, 2011 @ 11:59 PM | , , ,

Hi there! Hope you all had a safe and fun weekend! Can't believe the first week of September has nearly zipped by. I am quite honored and thrilled to say the least that I had the card shown below published in the August issue of CARDS Magazine! Thank you CARDS for sharing my card :) EVERY month, the magazine is jam packed with loads of inspirational projects~be sure to check it out for yourself ~ click HERE.
Love how the card was shown on a 2 page spread ~ featuring a close up of that beautiful Spellbinders die cut butterfly and doily combo:
Next, I have a CAS card that I made for a sweet friend of mine featuring a few of my favorite papercrafting products:
I pulled out a piece of Pink Paislee Nantucket Crab Cakes patterned paper then stamped the lovely sentiment from JustRite Stampers Friendship Nested Sentiments & Verse set on a piece of PTI Rustic Cream cs, punched a few hearts ~ one cs / one felt ~ using Spellbinders Presto Punch Heart Templates, inked edges of cs heart, layered then stitched into place. I snuck in a scalloped border using a Spellbinders Classic Scallop Edgeabilities die template.
Many thanks for visiting :) Hope you have a great day!
Be Sweet!

JustRite Stampers June Release Day #8 38

Mona Pendleton | Friday, July 8, 2011 @ 7:00 AM | , ,

T.G.I.F.! I'm looking forward to the weekend ~ how about you? I'm here today to share what I have made for the JustRite Stampers July Release Day #8 of 9. Today we are introducing Trick or Treat Borders & Centers which contains 8 fun images that can be easily mixed and matched. I also snuck in a few images from Halloween Mini Sentiments. I made a Halloween card and matching treat jar tag:
I pulled out some fun Halloween patterned paper from the Pink Paislee Hocus Pocus Collection and showcased the Haunted House image from Trick or Treat Borders & Centers on both the card and tag. I inked up the image using Memento Tuxedo Black ink then colored with various Copic Markers, using a Spellbinders™ Classic Ovals LG die template to cut/emboss the image. I made a little sentiment tag by stamping the Happy Trick or Treating sentiment from Halloween Mini Sentiments then using a die template from Happy Everything Mini Tag Kit to cut/emboss image.
I made a rather simple tag to dress up an ordinary jar of treats using the Haunted House image and a different sentiment from Halloween Mini Sentiments:
Here's a look at the COMPLETE Trick or Treat Borders & Centers set:

Hi there! Welcome to Day #6, the last day of the JustRite Stampers May previews. Today, we are introducing Family Garden Set-Cling. This set, contains a great mixture of images and sentiments that I am sure you will enjoy.

Thinking of You 54

Mona Pendleton | Tuesday, February 15, 2011 @ 10:50 PM | , ,

Hi there! Hope you all had a Happy Valentine's Day ~ maybe spending it with your loved ones or doing something that you love ie: stamping/papercrafting :) My hubby, Scott and I had the day off together so we just lounged around home, went out to lunch and exchanged gifts. This weekend we went to see the movie "Just Go With It" ~ have you seen it? Oh my gosh, we had some really good belly laughs :)
I had some crafty me time tonight, so pulled out some pretty patterned paper from the girl's paperie and made this card. I stamped the Thinking of You sentiment from JustRite Stampers Fancy Tags then using a die template from JustRite Stampers Happy Everything Mini Tag Kit to create the tag. For sketch inspiration, I played along with this week's Card Patterns Sketch 102,
I made a butterfly embellishment using a die template from S3-146 Butterflies Two and layered it on a sweet doily using S5-041 Floral Doily Motifs.
That's all for today. Thanks so much for stopping by! I will be back tomorrow for the Friends of  Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Waltz showing off my buttons! :) LOL

Happy Birthday Scott! 59

Mona Pendleton | Thursday, December 9, 2010 @ 1:00 AM | , ,

Hi there! Today we are celebrating my sweet hubby's Birthday :) We both have the day off from work so we plan to hike the mountain near our home, go out for a lunch then have a little celebration when the kids come home from school. The pressure is on me now to pull off an amazing 50th party next year! YIKES The pic below is from Scott's Birthday last year with my sweet 4 legged fur baby Gretchen :)
Of course I had to make Scott a Birthday card so this is what I came up with:
I find creating masculine cards quite challenging to say the least~I want to glam everything all up with flowers & bows. How about you? Do you struggle creating masculine cards as well?

I inked up a feathery little friend image from JustRite Back Yard Birds with Memento Timber Brown ink then referred to the Dryer Sheet tutorial that Beate shared on her blog not too long ago or you can find it HERE on SCS to create the soft, shimmery look.
For color inspiration, I played along with this week's Off The Wall Challenge #36, OTWC36
I hope you enjoy your day! Thanks so much for visiting :)

Stamps: JustRite Stampers Back Yard Birds, Victorian Nested Frames

Glittered Kindness 42

Mona Pendleton | Monday, September 6, 2010 @ 1:39 AM | , ,

Hi Friends! Happy Labor Day if you are celebrating here in the US :) Hope you don't have to work! I feel fortunate to have had most of the weekend off besides an 8 hr shift on Saturday. Just a quick lil' card here to share. This week, Sharon is challenging us all to pull out our JustRite Stamps & make some Glitter Magic for this week's JustRite Friday Challenge! If you are like me, you may hoard glitter! I love all the Martha Stewart gorgeous colored glitter - I have quite a few & they look so pretty all lined up on a shelf! Hee Hee So this challenge was awesome because it motivated me to put it to good use! I inked up a lovely sentiment from the JustRite Joyful Hearts Borders & Centers Set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink & colored in the lil' heart using the Copic Marker: RV32 Shadow Pink & adhered a lil' pearl below. To showcase this darling sentiment, I pulled out one of those Tattered Angels Glimmer Chips that I have been hanging on to & glittered it up! Now, I want to glitter everything that I come into contact with! How about you - are you a glitter collector too?

I hope you are enjoying your weekend! Thanks for looking :)

Supplies Used:

Stamps: JustRite Joyful Hearts Set
