Tim Holtz Idea-ology CHA project...xoxo 31

Mona Pendleton | Saturday, January 24, 2015 @ 1:52 AM | , , , , ,

Hi there! I hope you are having a great weekend! I feel so fortunate and blessed to have been invited to create a few projects for the Tim Holtz's Idea-ology CHA booth featuring newly released products along with "older" products. Please be sure to visit Tim's blog and Paula's blog to see a collection of fantastic projects! Thank you Tim, Mario and Paula Cheney for  for the amazing opportunity!
The altered small burlap canvas features a variety of newly released products including: Correspondence papers, Big Chat stickers and Typed Tokens:

I also have a couple of projects to share featuring pretty Tim Holtz fabric.
Love is in the air over at A Vintage Journey challenge! This week's challenge theme is to create something that moves your heart. I made a fabric heart that can easily be hung in either my husband's office or my daughter's dresser. Haven't quite determined which at this point :)
A Typed Token and Loop Pin:

I enjoy making Valentine's Day cards, so I made a card to coordinate with the little heart pillow combining Tim Holtz fabric and patterned papers from the French Industrial collection:
The heart was made using Tim Holtz fabric and cut with a Tim Holtz Sizzix die. The sentiment is one of the many fun Big Chat stickers:
For card sketch inspiration, I joined along with the current MOJO Monday sketch challenge:
Many thanks for visiting ~ I hope you have a great weekend!
Be Sweet ;)

Hi there! I hope you had a great weekend! It's time for an all new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week ~ Anything Goes!
I was in the mood to sew:
Now that Autumn has arrived, I was in the mood to create a mini rag quilt using various Eclectic Elements fabrics. It's just the perfect size for my sweet girl Gretchen :)
She joined me along the way through the process:
For every stitch along the way:
I also stitched together a pouch for my phone using Eclectic Elements fabrics which is embellished with a Fanciful Button and Buckle:
I appliqued three TATTERED FLORALS on as well:
Thanks so much for stopping by! Please be sure to visit the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge blog to see what the rest of the DT has created!

Time To Be Creative... 38

Mona Pendleton | Monday, August 19, 2013 @ 9:00 PM | , , , , , , ,

Hi there! Welcome to the August MFT Design Team Creative Challenge! Just in case you are not familiar, the MFT Design Team Creative Challenge is a monthly feature, where we are challenged to explore our creative side using a specific theme, product, or technique.

This month, we are getting fuzzy with MFT felt!

I made this 12" x 12" mixed media quilt wall hanging featuring 4 out of the 24 pretty different colors of MFT felt along with many other awesome MFT products.

To create this hanging, I first made some inky muslin fabric using a variety of inks. Once dry, I cut, pieced and stitched them together to create the 8 colorful patches then the real fun began!
There are 8 squares embellished with die cut felt flowers, die cut items and stamped images. Three squares feature 3 different clock faces from Timeless. The background was stamped using Blu Raspberry ink along with the chicken wire stamp from Distressed Background Blocks then topped with a Sno Cone Rolled Rose and Jellybean Green Royal Leaves.

Two squares feature two kraft die cut butterflies ~ the bigger of the two has a Sweet Tooth Rolled Rose in the center. The background was stamped using Blu Raspberry ink along with the checkerboard stamp from Distressed Background Blocks.

Two squares feature two kraft die cut hearts along with a Cotton Candy flower and Jellybean Green Royal Leaves. The background was stamped using Blu Raspberry ink along with the polka dot stamp from Distressed Background Blocks.

Last but not least is one square which features a kraft die cut bird made using a die from Die-namics Homespun Birdhouse along with a Sweet Tooth Rolled Rose and a Jellybean Green Royal Leaf. For the title, I turned to one of the sentiments in Timeless. I randomly stitched on lots of buttons.
Thanks so much for visiting! Please be sure to check out the MFT Blog for a list of all the designers who have fuzzy felt projects to share with you today.

Be Sweet ;)
