I just love you 25

Mona Pendleton | Friday, January 29, 2016 @ 10:26 AM | , ,

Hi! Today Angie and I are driving to Tucson to browse around the Tucson Gem Show which is the 2nd largest gem show in the country. We're both hoping to find something sparkly ;) I set my paints and palette aside to make some room on my desk to create a rather simple Valentine's Day card for one of my sisters. Sometimes it's overwhelming to me how many supplies it takes to create just one card.
When we moved nearly a year ago, I downsized a lot of my papercrafting supplies donating them to Angie's college fund garage sale :) Over the years, I had accumulated a ridiculous amount of papers, stamps and dies from various companies I had designed for or purchased myself that I no longer had the desire to hang on to. I saved a few bins of patterned paper including the prints that I used to create this card. I don't know who makes it or how old it is, I love it anyways :) I made a felt flower with beautiful PTI felt that seems to cut like butter in the die cut machine!
For sketch inspiration, I joined along with the paper players challenge:
Thanks so much for visiting ~ I hope you have a great weekend!
Be Sweet ;)

remember the MOMENT...MFT Creative Challenge 76

Mona Pendleton | Monday, August 13, 2012 @ 9:00 PM | , , , , , ,

***WARNING***   This post contains MANY photos! Hope you sit back, relax and enjoy! :)

Hi there! Welcome to the August MFT Design Team Creative Challenge! Just in case you are not familiar, the MFT Design Team Creative Challenge is a monthly feature, where we are challenged to explore our creative side using a specific theme, product, or technique. This month, we were challenged to create a mini-book. Be sure to check out the MFT Blog for a list of all participating designers who have put their MFT stamps and/or Die-namics dies to work to create a mini book for you today!
I made this mini-book for Connor to give to Emily as it features photos that were taken this past Spring for her Senior Prom.

Let's get started...

I stamped a combination of a few of the fab sentiments from the Die-namics Behind the Camera Stamp Die & Stamp Set on the cover; partially on the actual patterned paper and I highlighted the word MOMENT by stamping the image on a Die-namics Sentiments Strips die.
Love the combination of the Die-namics Leafy Flourish and the Die-namics Medium Leafy Flourish along with a trio of Roses cut using Die-namics Mini Royal Roses and the Die-namics Royal Rose.
page 1 ~ I stamped a sentiment from MFT Complimentary Greetings on a die cut that was made using Die-namics Layered Heart. The sweet little bird is from the Die-namics Contempo Cage & Stamp Set.
Using two of the three dies from Die-namics Hearts a Plenty and added a glittered kissed Royal Rose in the center.
page 2 ~ Features a combination of a beautiful MFT Natural Button and a MFT Pink Lemonade Button bordering a doily made using one of the four doilies from the Die-namics Mini Doily Circles and a Royal Rose.
I stamped one of the three beautiful butterfly from the MFT Inspired by Butterflies using VersaMark ink on a coordinating vellum die cut, embossed with white embossing powder and stitched on the smallest die cut heart that was made using Die-namics Hearts a Plenty.
page 3 ~ Features another one of the three beautiful butterfly from the MFT Inspired by Butterflies. I stamped a sentiment from the Die-namics Polka Dot Greetings Die & Stamp Set DUO on the coordinating label die then layered it on top of a die cut label made from the Die-namics Textile Rectangle & Stamp Set.
This butterfly was made repeating the previous steps. Love those elegant butterflies!
Using Die-namics Botanical Beauty, I made a blossom out of the print patterned paper and finished it off with a Royal Rose.
page 4 ~ Features another wonderful sentiment from the Die-namics Polka Dot Greetings Die & Stamp Set DUO that was stamped on a die cut piece made using a Die-namics Fishtail Flags STAX die.
The beautiful blossom was made using Die-namics Plentiful Petals:
page 5 ~ Features the last of the three beautiful butterflies from the MFT Inspired by Butterflies set along with a bird cage die cut made using the Die-namics Contempo Cage & Stamp Set.
page 6 ~ Features a combination a corrugated die cut heart, a die cut blossom and sweet sentiment.
The blossom was made using Die-namics Upsy-Daisy and the sentiment is another one of the many from the Die-namics Behind the Camera Stamp Die & Stamp Set.
page 7 ~ I just love all the larger font sized sentiments contained within the MFT Complimentary Greetings.
I stamped the MFT Complimentary Greetings sentiment on a label made using the die from the Die-namics Textile Rectangle & Stamp Set then layered it on a doily that was cut using the Die-namics OVAL Decorative Doily.
I added a tissue paper Rose made using Die-namics Layered Rose along with a few Royal Roses:
and last but not least, page 8 ~
I stamped a fun sentiment from the Die-namics Behind the Camera Stamp Die & Stamp Set, cut using a Die-namics Circle STAX Set 1 then layered on top of a doily cut using a Die-namics Dainty Doily DUO die.
Thanks so much for visiting! Hope you enjoyed my mini as much as I enjoyed creating it! Remember to check out the MFT Blog for a list of all participating designers who have put their MFT stamps and/or Die-namics dies to work to create a mini book for you today!

Happy Birthday 36

Mona Pendleton | Friday, July 6, 2012 @ 6:25 PM | , , , ,

Hi there! I'm so happy the weekend is here! Lots going on here ~ Meredith has her horse riding lesson on Saturday and then we are driving up North to Prescott on Sunday to drop Connor off for a week long soccer camp! It's hard to believe Summer vacation is nearly over for them. The first day of the new school year is July 26th! Summer CHA is also right around the corner and Pink Paislee will be releasing some new AMAZING products!

I took a break from working on required DT projects and made this card for a dear friend of mine who will be celebrating her birthday this month. I used pretty patterned papers from the Pink Paislee London Market collection along with the Die-namics Chevron Stripes die to make my own Chevron patterned paper. I also made a felt rolled rose embellishment including leaves using a combination of a Die-namics MINI rolled Rose die and Die-namics Royal Leaves die.

For sketch inspiration, I played along with the My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Club challenge:
I hope you enjoy the weekend! Any fun plans? I'll be back on Sunday with an all new CR84FN Color Challenge.
Be Sweet :)
