merry christmas...Guest Designing 32

Mona Pendleton | Tuesday, October 20, 2015 @ 11:00 PM | , , , ,

Hi there! Today I'm so happy to share with you a trio of Christmas cards featuring fabulous designs from the following Gina's Designs sets: Ornamental Birdcages and Fern Fronds that I created as a guest designer for Gina's Designs. Please feel free to check out my post here on the Gina's Design blog (click HERE).
I couldn't help but make three cards because both the Ornamental Birdcages and Fern Fronds sets contain so many beautiful pieces. Each birdcage and fern frond is so unique and elegant. All chipboard designs were embossed using embossing enamel.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Please be sure to visit the Gina's Designs blog for some outstanding creative inspiration and if you are looking to add some great quality chipboard designs to your craft stash, please be sure to visit the Gina's Designs store (click HERE).
Be Sweet ;)

Holiday GREETINGS and more... 20

Mona Pendleton | Sunday, November 16, 2014 @ 12:15 PM | , , , , ,

Hi there! I hope you are having a great time whatever you are doing. Scott had to work today, so I spent some time creating a collection of 4 cards featuring beautiful images from Pion Design's From Grandma's Attic ~ tinted paper:
All four cards are quite similar with the major differences being the beautiful image, pretty patterned papers used and sentiment. The first three cards were made using a combination of papers from the Days of Winter collection:
I used a variety of Spellbinders die templates:
PTI stamps:
flowers from my stash:
seam binding ribbon:
along with a piece of cotton lace from my stash:
The last card was made using pretty papers from the versatile My Beloved Son collection:
Don't be fooled by the name ~ obviously not just for masculine projects!
For sketch inspiration, I joined along with the MOJO Monday sketch challenge:
Many thanks for visiting ~ I hope you have a great week!
Be Sweet ;)

Warm Wishes 45

Mona Pendleton | Thursday, February 3, 2011 @ 9:30 PM | , , , , ,

Hi there! I'm so happy it's almost Friday (2.5hrs)! My weekend starts at the end of my shift ~ 3:00 pm SHARP! I'm lovin' my new job~no call and no weekends! YAHOOO!!! The weather has been crazy all over the United States and Australia! Thankfully we haven't had any snow flurries to report here in my neck of the woods (Ahwatukee, AZ) but many parts of the country have been getting pounded with heavy snow fall and frigid temperatures, including my hometown of Orchard Park, NY where I have a few friends still residing :) I made this card for my sweet friends Sue and John:
I love this little snowman from Waltzingmouse Sewing Box - Christmas - he's one of my faves :) You can see in the photo below that I stamped him x 2 and paperpieced one on to of the other, popping him up with a few foam squares for a bit of dimension.
My sweet friend Lisa recommended this fun sketch challenge site called Sketch Saturday. There was so much great inspiration and I loved the sketch, so I played along with this week's Sketch Saturday #140:
These are the Copic markers used to color the sweet snowman and heart images:
I finally get to share on my blog my warm winter wishes card that was published in CARDS magazine: January issue :) Here's the magazine version:
and here he is in my light tent before sending him off:
I hope you stay safe and keep warm wherever you may be! I will be back Saturday for an all new Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge. Thanks for looking ~ Be Sweet!
