Sweet Treats...WMS January Blog Party 58

Mona Pendleton | Tuesday, January 17, 2012 @ 1:18 AM | , , ,

***Hi there! I apologize in advance! I have multiple posts today, so if you are looking for my Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge post, please click HERE or scroll down and if you are looking for my Pink Paislee post, please click HERE or continue to scroll up :)***
It's the 17th so that means it is usually the Friends of WMS Blog Waltz but Claire is shaking things up a bit this year and it is now referred to as the Walzingmouse Blog Party and the link list will be posted on her blog rather than in a thread within the forum. January's theme is SWEET TREATS! So I made a Sweet Treats gift set for someone special ;)
I made a sweet treat container using the FREE Waltzingmouse Three Kings Box template. I stamped little hearts all over using a heart stamp from Sweethearts and the tag was made using the Sweet TREATS sentiment from Candy Jar Christmas. I love that Claire's stamps are so versatile, they can be used for multiple occasions!
I stamped the sentiment in a die cut heart made using a Spellbinders Heart Punch Template then while leaving the template in place, I sponged some Ranger Spun Sugar Distress Ink all around:
The coordinating card was made using the same Spellbinders dies and Tim Holtz rosette with the exception of the BE MINE sentiment which is from Sweethearts:
Love the white border created when you use the die as a stencil:
For sketch inspiration, I played along with the current Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge which by the way there is more time to play, so ink up your Waltzingmouse Stamps and join in the fun!
Thanks so much for visiting! Off to party Waltzingmouse style!

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Waltzingmouse Sweethearts, Candy Jar Christmas
Die Templates: Spellbinders Heart Circles, Heart Punch Templates, Classic Petal, Grand Calibur, Sizzix Tim Holtz Paper Rosette
Treat Template: FREE Waltzingmouse Three Kings Boxes

Mona Pendleton | Monday, October 17, 2011 @ 10:00 PM | , , , ,

Hi there! I'm here today to share my first card as an Official Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge DT  member! Yahoooo! If you have visited me before, you may recall that I was currently a Flourishes Bring Back Beautiful DT member. Recently, there has been a few changes and a spot opened up so Julie had asked me if I would like to join the talented team of awesome designers! Of course I was quite honored and accepted! This week's Hostess is Silke and she is challenging us to create a Halloween Card/Project for the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge ~ FTTC140.
I inked up the fun witch's hat from the cute and sassy Witching You a Happy Halloween set witch :O by the way is full of so many spooktacular images!
I stamped the witch's hat on a pretty doily made using a Spellbinders Tear Drop Circles die template then using the assortment of Copic markers shown below, I colored the image. I added a touch of glitter to the beautiful little flower:
Just in case you were wondering what Copics I used, I took a pic (the round capped one is YR68 Orange):
For sketch inspiration, I played along with the current Card Patterns Sketch 137:

WMS October Previews Day #1 65

Mona Pendleton | Wednesday, October 12, 2011 @ 12:00 AM | , ,

***I have TWO posts today, if you are looking for Katie Renz Fundraiser post, please click HERE or continue to scroll down :) Thank You!***

Hi there! Welcome to the October Waltzingmouse Stamps Previews Day #1. Claire will be releasing SIX new stamp sets on Saturday, October 15th. Over the next 4 days, including today, Claire, the Waltzingmouse DT & myself will be sharing some wonderful samples of inspiration showcasing these awesome stamps! Today, we are all previewing Seasonal Remedies ~ a fab set full of an assortment of fun Seasonal labels and sentiments!
Today, I have several cards to share featuring Seasonal Remedies:
Seasonal Remedies contains quite a few images that coordinate perfectly with various Spellbinders die templates ~ a match made in my stamping Heaven ;) As you can see the beautiful PEACE label coordinates with a Labels Four die and the sentiment nestles right into a banner from Ribbon Banners:
Next is a card featuring the JOY label ~ just take a look at all the intricate detail! After stamping the JOY label using a Classic Square LG die template to cut the image then layered with a piece of Tim Holtz kraft glassine paper that was cut using a Classic Scalloped Squares LG die template.
The TO BRING YOU Good Cheer sentiment also coordinates with a banner from  Ribbon Banners:
Next is the gorgeous CHRISTMAS CHEER label ~ another beauty ~ don't you think? After stamping this label, I used a Classic Squares SM die template to cut the image then layered it on top of a fun postage stamp die cut that was cut using a Postage Stamps die template and the lovely TO HELP YOU Make Merry sentiment was cut using a Grommet Tag die template:
Lastly is a card featuring a gorgeous white snowflake embossed label and a versatile "GOODWILL" sentiment label. This particular label was cut using a Large Label die template and a Classic Ovals LG die template was using to cut the "GOODWILL" label:
I couldn't resist embossing the label, revealing those beautiful snowflakes!
That's wraps it up for me today! I hope you have enjoyed seeing what I shared today :) I will be back tomorrow with Day #2 previews. For some awesome inspiration, please be sure to visit Claire and the rest of the Waltzingmouse DT:

WMS September Waltz 116

Mona Pendleton | Monday, September 19, 2011 @ 11:00 AM | , ,

Hello dear blogging friends! I sure hope I have sparked your interest in getting crafty and creating a treasured keepsake for yourself or that special someone. Today, the following Waltzingmouse Stamps: Hocus Pocus, A Cottage Home, Say it Loud Autumn/Winter and A Cottage Christmas may be purchased today ~ click HERE. Today, Claire, WM DT members and myself will be sharing projects using the NEW A Cottage Christmas. If you arrived here from Belinda's blog, then you are right where you should be! If not, please hop back over to Claire's blog where the celebration began!
A few minor details: As with all of Waltzingmouse Stamps Design Team Blog Waltzes, you have the opportunity to win a stamp set of your choice. There will be a prize (a stamp set of choice) via a random drawing from one of the Design Team Members blog.
First up is a card I made featuring a sweet sentiment from A Cottage Christmas:
One of the MANY things I LOVE about Claire's stamps is how so many coordinate with Spellbinders die templates. Not sure if Claire had the Spellbinders Labels Twelve die template in hand or mind when designing this set but it sure makes a perfect frame showcasing that gorgeous sentiment!
Next, is a little tag featuring yet another beautiful sentiment:
I dug through my stash of Quikutz dies from years ago and found the darling house die so I upcycled a piece of cardboard making a fun little embellishment. I brushed on some Claudine Hellmuth Studio One Canvas paint for a little white washed effect.
Thanks so much for visiting today! To continue on with the Waltz, please visit Sarah's blog to see what she has to share with you! Be Sweet :)

Halloween wishes 42

Mona Pendleton | Tuesday, August 9, 2011 @ 11:00 PM | , ,

The week is half over already! sigh... Can you believe it? For me that means my mini-vacation has come to an end :( I've been away at my home away from home with Scott and our 4 legged furry friends (Gretchen and Griffin). My dear sister Tina usually spoils me and takes care of my pups but she too is on a much needed vacation. We packed them up, crates and all, persuaded Gretchen to take her Dramamine to avoid motion sickness while in her crate during the 5 hour road trip from Phoenix, AZ to downtown San Diego, CA. My little subarbanite dogs are NOT city slickers by no means! It's always a treat to make potty runs up and down the elevator in the wee morning hours! NOT!
Along with my sewing machine and fabric for Tina's quilt, I packed up a few stamping supplies :)
I combined the darling circular shaped image of Cicely from Waltzingmouse Cicely at Halloween along with the Halloween wishes sentiment from Waltzingmouse Gracie at Halloween. I only packed a few Copic markers so I simply outlined Cicely using a few shades of Gray and sponged the edges with Ranger  Distress ink:
For sketch inspiration, I played along with this week's MOJO Monday's awesome sketch. For some great inspiration, be sure to see what the DT created!
Thanks for visiting ~ hope you have a great day! Be Sweet :)
Supplies Used:
Stamps: Waltzingmouse Cicely at Halloween, Gracie at Halloween
Die Templates & Machine: Spellbinders  Standard Circles SM, Classic Scalloped Circles SMGrand Calibur
Patterned Paper: Authentique

Cherish the Memories... 47

Mona Pendleton | Friday, July 29, 2011 @ 11:15 AM | , ,

Hi there! Sooo happy it is Friday ~ I'm looking forward to the weekend ~ how about you? I have a few projects to share today. I scrapped a layout using adorable photos of Meredith from quite a few years ago. While I was enjoying some retail therapy at my LSS, I came across some gorgeous Authentique patterned paper which I used to create both the layout and card shown in this post.
For sketch inspiration, I played along with the current Once Upon A Sketch Challenge:
I was in need of a Birthday card for a dear blogging friend: Stella Schenkel whom many of you fellow bloggers may know. Stella is such a sweet and creative person. It is my only hope to meet her IRL one day. If you get a chance, please feel free click HERE to visit Stella and wish her a Happy Birthday! I combined    some more of the pretty patterned paper with a gorgeous image and sentiment from the JustRite Stampers Elegant Frames Set:
Just love the shimmer on that beautiful blossom:
That's all for today ~ thanks so much for stopping by! I'll be back Sunday with an all new CR84FN Color Challenge. Be Sweet :)
