beautiful 38

Mona Pendleton | Saturday, November 28, 2015 @ 10:49 AM | , , , , , , ,

Hi there! I hope you are having a great weekend! Today I have a layout to share featuring a photo of the beautiful Trevi fountain.  Scott took this photo while we were vacationing in Rome a few years ago.
I combined a variety of some of my favorite products to create this layout. I started with a piece of pretty paper from the 7 Dots Studio Thoughts Keeper collection then added texture using a MFT stencil along with Prima texture paste:
For color, I combined a variety of Ranger Distress Stains.
For contrast, I stamped and heat embossed images from Prima Coffee Stains stamp set and embellished with a variety of white die cuts that were made using Spellbinders and Sizzix dies:
For a little more texture and design, I adhered a sprinkle of Prima Rust Glass Beads:
I'm joining along with the following challenges:

Thanks so much for stopping by ~ I hope you enjoyed my project!

For my final project, I created a layout featuring of sweet Meredith that was taken at the top of a volcano on Maui surrounded by fabulous designs from the following Gina's Designs sets: Scribbled Frames and Lines, Fern Fronds, Words & Phrases 2, and Curly Cages:
The title is one of the many fun designs included in the Words & Phrases 2 set. Both layered frames and scribbled lines at the top of the page are from the Scribbled Frames and Lines set:
To make the chipboard pieces "pop", I heat embossed all the designs:
All three fancy bird cages are from the Curly Cages set:

For color inspiration, I joined along with the current Scrap Africa challenge:
and for sketch inspiration, I joined along with the current Stuck?! sketch challenge:

Hi there! Today I had the morning to myself, so I created a card featuring a variety of beautiful ColourArte products
I wanted to practice using Radiant Gels Dimensional Paint along with Silks Acrylic Glazes and this is what I came up with:
I created a lot of texture using texture paste along with a MFT stencil:

Once all the layers were texturized and painted, I embellished with a variety of Prima flowers, die cut foliage, 13arts glass balls and a Hobby Lobby metal trinket:
The sentiment is from a MFT stamp set:
I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
For sketch inspiration: The Fusion Card challenge
Try It on Tuesday ~ Watches and Clocks
Frilly and Funkie ~ Monochromatic
The Mixed Media Monthly challenge ~ Stencils and Pastes:
ColourArte products used:
Radiant Gels Dimensional Paint ~ Snap Dragon
Silks Acrylic Glaze ~ Plum Blossom, Wisteria

Many thanks for stopping by ~ I hope you have a great day/evening!

Hi there! I hope you had a great weekend! Today I have a layout to share featuring a photo of sweet Meredith posing in her Halloween Woodland Fairy costume:
I joined along with the current 7 Dots Studio challenge, where  the theme is all about Trees:
I started with a piece of fun patterned paper from the Cold Country collection:
Behind the photo, I layered a piece of pretty patterned paper from 9th Wave collection. Once texture and design was added to the background using a stencil along with modeling paste, I randomly applied ColourArte Radiant Rain Shimmering Mists: Sea Foam and Teal Zircon:
Once I was satisfied with the background, I embellished with a variety of blossoms, die cut foliage and fun Gina's Designs Feathery Flourishes which I applied Gesso followed with sprayed Sea Foam Mist:
I completed the layout with random splatters of paint:
For color inspiration, I joined along with the Scrap-pygovka challenge:
