Color Throwdown #738

Welcome to another Color Throwdown challenge! Lynn is hosting this week and has some fabulous new colors: yellow, mint, dark green and white! I took the cue from the wreath in the photo and went with Gina K Designs Wreath Builder Bundle to create a birthday card.

I stamped the wreath using the 3 3/4" template and dye inks from Pink Fresh Studio: Sunshine, Marigold, Mint, Emerald City, Evergreen.

PAPER: White, Bright Buttercup, Pinefeather (Papertrey Ink).

DIES: Stitched Circle STAX Die-Namics (My Favorite Things).

OTHER: Bubble Blower embellishment mix (Trinity Stamps).

It's my birthday today and I'm so glad that temperatures are climbing some again! We had frost warnings over the weekend with temps down to 30 degrees! Couldn't believe I was wearing a turtleneck top plus cardigan sweater plus a light jacket on Easter Sunday! :-(  Have a great day and I'll be looking for you in the throwdown gallery!  ~Wanda

Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge

Hope you are having a great Saturday! Between laundry loads, vacuuming and a trip to the PO, I'm working on this entry for the Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge #10. I went with a fairly large tag that could be gifted with some yummy local coffee that I get at Micah's Coffee.

I used Gina K. Designs Gnome for the Holidays stamp 'n stencil craft kit. It's easy and fun to assemble and all I needed was a coffee cup. I went into my stash of Verve stamps and pulled the Always Time set. Don't you like how the gnome is balancing the cup on his right foot - lol?!

INK: Hawaiian Shores, Tropical Teal, True Black, Limeade Ice, Simply Chartreuse, Cocoa Bean, Pinefeather, Ocean Tides (dye inks by Papertrey Ink).
DIES: Gnome for the Holidays (Gina K Designs); Rounded Banner STAX Die-Namics (My Favorite Things), Always Time (Verve).

Color Throwdown #695

Happy Wednesday and welcome to a new Color Throwdown challenge! Susie is our hostess and has chosen lavender, green, blue plus silver or gold. It's been a good while since I used my wreath builder template by Gina K Designs, so got it out for these colors.

I decided to offset the sentiment circle because centering it made the blue flowers look like plumber's helpers aka plungers attached to the circle - haha!

STAMPS: Wreath Builder Bundle (Gina K. Designs).
INK: Soft Lilac, Lavender, Mint, Meadow, Slumber, Blue Jay dye inks (Pinkfresh Studio); Versamark.
PAPER: Color Ways 6x6" pad by Paper House; White, Enchanted Evening (PTI).
DIES: Stitched Rectangle & Circle STAX Die-Namics (My Favorite Things); Simple Strips (Pretty Pink Posh).
OTHER: Button (PTI); Queen's Gold embossing powder (Ranger).

That's it for today! We would love to have you join us in this challenge!  Happy stamping!  ~Wanda

Color Throwdown #659

It's Wednesday once again and that means it's time for a new Color Throwdown challenge! Vickie is hosting this week and has chosen red, orange and purple. While I immediately thought "Halloween", I went instead with a wreath builder template and stamp set from Gina K. Designs and created florals instead. I'm hanging onto flower images as long as I can!

STAMPS: Wreath Builder Bundle (Gina K. Designs).

PAPER: White, Amethyst Allure (Papertrey Ink).

INK: Pure Poppy, Amethyst Allure, Orange Zest, Canyon Clay (PTI).

DIES: Stitched Circle STAX Die-Namics (My Favorite Things).

OTHER: Template from Wreath Builder Bundle (Gina K. Designs); Twine by The Twinery.

We'd love to have you join us in the challenge! For more inspiration, check out the rest of the design teams' projects HERE.

Color Throwdown #556

Another week has rolled by and it's time for a new Color Throwdown Challenge! Lisa is hosting and has chosen some really gorgeous colors: green, yellow, light blue and kraft. I was in the mood to create with my Gina K Wreath Builder stamps and template and tried to imitate the look of black-eyed susans which are growing like crazy in our area! I added black Enamel Accents to the flower centers which adds some shiny texture to the card.

STAMPS: Wreath Builder by Gina K Designs.
PAPER: Kraft, True Black, White - Papertrey Ink.
INK: Tumbled Glass, Mowed Lawn, Twisted Citron, Antique Linen, Fossilized Amber - distess oxide inks by Ranger; Memento Tuxedo black.
DIES: Stitched Circle Die-Namics by MFT.

Be sure to stop by the blogs of the other team members to see what they've come up with...including our August Guest Designer, LucieG!

Thanks so much for stopping by! We hope to see you in the CTD gallery!                                                             ~Wanda

PP Tic -Tac -Toe

Happy Sunday everyone! We just returned from a week at the beach with extended family, so it's back to the routine of at home living! I always miss stamping when I'm away, so it was good to get inky again! This week, Joanne is hosting for the Paper Players Challenge and she has a fun tic-tac-toe challenge for us! I chose the bottom row of florals, birthday and wood. Florals were stamped using Gina K Designs Wreath Builder Bundle.

It's always fun to see the wreath evolve as you stamp using the template as a guide! The sentiment circle was popped up with foam tape and I embellished with tiny wood veneer stars.

For more inspiration from the rest of the talented design team, please check out their creations HERE Hope to see you in the gallery! Have a blessed day!

CAS Colors & Sketches

I'm playing along with the color challenge on the CAS Colours and Sketches blog and I'm using the Gina K Designs' Wreath Builder stamp set yet again! LOVE the endless possible designs that can be incorporated...even from other sets which I'm anxious to try out soon! I subbed Pink Pirouette ink since I don't own Powder Pink.

I opted to place the square on an A2 sized base and added the score lines to balance it out better.

So that's my quick post for the day...I'll be back tomorrow with a new Color Throwdown creation!

Wreath Builder

I'm really having fun playing with the Gina K Wreath Builder stamp set with templates that make it so stinkin' easy to get a symmetrical, circular wreath design! I used the colors for the current Just Add Ink color challenge and I used Julee Tilman's great sketch for the
current Mojo Monday Sketch challenge.

STAMPS: Wreath Builder Bundle by Gina K Designs.
PAPER: Coastal Cabana and Fresh Prints paper stack by Stampin' Up; White (PTI).
INK: Pale Peony, Pure Poppy, Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores (PTI); Memento Tuxedo Black.

Thanks so much for stopping by...

Inspired By All The Little Things

Hope everyone is having a super Saturday! Looks like some wonderful fall weather is in store for us in VA, but I'll be heading to work this afternoon (insert sad face here). There's a new Inspired By All The Little Things challenge going on and we hope you will find some time to get inky and join in! There are lots of great elements for inspiration in the photo and I zeroed in on the ladder with the wreath along with the beautiful quilt colors!

I'm once again using this Tall Stripe Panel die by Reverse Confetti.  I used it last week and pulled it out again to mimic the ladder concept.  Love this stamp set which is a special collaborative set between Simon Says Stamp and Gina K Designs where all the proceeds of its sales will go to hurricane relief efforts.  I had to resort to fussy cutting (I'm afraid wafer dies have spoiled me and I can only hope they might come at a later date - hint, hint!).  I chose the border sentiment stamp from Concord and 9th's Lace Leaf stamp set and stamped it in Chocolate Chip ink.  The wreath was die cut with MFT's Stitched Circle Die-Namics.  Papers are from the Glitz "Sunshine in my Soul" 6x6 pad. I used Distress Oxide inks for the florals: Peeled Paint, Fossilized Amber and Spiced Marmalade.

Our special design guest for the week is Meredith MacRitchie of A Delightful Waste of Time.  Stop by her blog and say hello!

Hope to see you in the gallery!
