Is your Sim having a hard time finding a lady? Does your Sim family feel like its missing something? Maybe a furry companion is the answer to your Sim problems. The Sims 2 Pets is coming soon to the PC, handhelds and current-generation console systems. With this add-on pack, your Sim can befriend dogs, cats, birds and other small animals. Dozens of dog and cat breeds are included, and each of them will be fully customizable. Everything from a pet's personality to body shape can be changed to suit your needs. Your Sims will also be able to teach their pets tricks, such as shake and play dead. You can even unlock pet accessories and share them with other gamers.
Different versions of The Sims 2 Pets will have their own special features. For example, the PC version will allow your pets to get jobs in Show Business, Security, or Service. The PlayStation 2, GameCube, and PSP versions will include a Town Center and a Central Town Park to take your pet for a walk in. The DS version lets you run a pet store and a Pet Care Center, and the Game Boy Advance version lets you take a career in pet care and try out being a veterinarian or a pet trainer. The Sims 2 Pets is due out on October 17 for PC, PS2, GCN, DS and GBA; the PSP version is due out in November.
