Ok so Im a cross stitcher who hardly ever gets around to 'finishing' as in framing, sewing ect. any of her projects. Bad I know lol. For myself I rather framing at the moment as the thought of sticky fingers on a much laboured over pillow or something is something I dont like to consider. Maybe when they're a little older :) But I look at all the nice finishes people around Blogg land come up with and I wonder, how do you know what faric to use and does it mean a seperate trip to LNS with every finished project?
I went to my LNS today and was quite disappointed as they had no 32cnt Linen, which I needed, only larger/smaller counts. Also another burning question is how much linen/Aida do you leave around a border? I always cut mine too close and now I have a few projects that I think 'how am I going to frame this?' lol.
Happy Stitching this weekend and I will leave you now with the hint that I may have a finish to share this week, just maybe :-D

Stars for A Grieving Family
I came across a post on allie-oops sweet happy life who is calling out for help for a friend, The Scrappy Apple Yard. Her daughter has lost her soldier fiance, and they were meant to be married this week. She is asking for anyone to help make Star quilt blocks to put together for the ones affected by this tragedy. While I probably cant help personally I felt I can help by spreading the word. My prayers and love go out to these familys.
Goal Progress/Kittens Everywhere
Looking at my goals for September, 1 of which was 10 hours on my second kitty project, I am halfway to seeing this 1 through, having completed 5 1/2 hours :)
And I just set it down looking like.....
Starting to see a kitty peeking at me :P
Happy Stitching to all my followers and a big welcome to all the new followers who've decided to take a peek into my stitching life :)
This is what it looked like today when I picked it up

IHSW
Ive really enjoyed stitching along with everyone this weekend although I didnt get as much done as I would have liked. And I did work on the same project.
So as much as Im enjoying it I think I might turn my attention to 1 of my other projects so that you dont all just fall to sleep reading my posts :)

FNSI
What a night! lol. I knew I really wanted to get some stitching done last night, so I took the piece which Ive been working a lot on lately, '4 Seasons Kitties'.
When I picked it up last night...............
When I finally came to a stop.
Sunday 11 September 2011
Well Ive been a little quiet for a while but not because I wanted to. This......
....decided to hide for a few days making uploading progress a little difficult.
So what have I got done in that time? Stitching of course. Although not as much as I would have liked. I worked solely on '4 Seasons Kittys', which now looks like this...
Im hoping for much more progress in the second half of the month. Although Im also concentrating on gaining my drivers licence and enrolling my eldest daughter in school to start Prep in January. Also this month my dear Grandma (Nanna) is turning 70 and as I was the first Grandchild for her and I was born on her Birthday, its even more dear to my heart :) So we are travelling to celebrate with her.

September
A beautiful month. Spring is emerging and my Birthday approaches. I guess I wont be looking forward to that particular day with as much enthusiasm as the years roll by lol.
On my journeys around the Blogosphere I have noticed many putting up their list of things they hope to get done in the new month. I think this is a great idea, so I thought I would put my own list forward.
September Stitchy List
- I really want to finish Tis the Season - I will put up a progress pic on this 1 tomorrow
- Id love to finish the Spring section of my '4 Seasons Kitties'
- I'd love to do at least 10 hours on my other kitty stitch
I think thats a list that I can achieve. Lets see how I go :) I hope you are all having a lot of fun with your crafts as I am this month, whether it be brightening into Spring or mellowing into Fall.
Happy Stitching :-D
