This is a very easy side dish to make that takes under 15 minutes.
The flavor is very unique & this version is Sugar-Free!
I have included 3 different ways to cook Matchstick carrots.
I hope you enjoy.
Cook Matchstick Carrots:
Boil 6 to 7 minutes for tender (4 to 5 minutes for al dente)
Sauté:
Cook in Butter/Water/spices (Honey/nutmeg)
Boil 5 minutes in water… drain.
Sauté in Butter for 3 to 4 minutes until tender
Add spices
Glazed:
4 Tbs Butter
¼ cup Brown Sugar
1 package Matchstick Carrots
Salt, Pepper, Parsley (Optional)
Melt butter, add Brown Sugar
Add Carrots
Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally
