A Barrow of Blessings

Hi everyone, Julie here today from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers hoping you had a great Thanksgiving yesterday (American friends). We have much to be thankful for, don't we?

We spent yesterday noon having Thanksgiving dinner with my father at the assisted living facility where he lives. My father was a carpenter by trade and spent many hours taking care of his yard when he wasn't working.  His yard became even more important to him after he retired.  I wanted to make him a little something to have on the table that he could share with his table mates and friends. With that in mind, I found what I thought would be the perfect Thanksgiving table décor:

I had this idea for a wheelbarrow, and looked around until I found what I wanted.  This is a wheelbarrow treat box.  You can see it's been embellished with leaves painted with Creative Inspirations Paint. Here's a view of the other side.

The leaves started out white. I painted the die cut leaves with Creative Inspirations Paint to give them those beautiful Fall colors and shine. I used a variety of different Creative Inspirations Paints on the leaves -- Burnt Clay (on sale), Autumn Wheat, Sunshine, and Pumpkin (on sale).

Here's a little peek into the box...

And, one more view, showing you how big the box is:

My father and his friends had plenty of candy to munch on all Thanksgiving afternoon!
I hope you enjoyed one more Thanksgiving project before we rush headlong into Christmas.  Hang on tight, it'll be a whirlwind month!

Fall Bliss ...

November in New York is when the leaves are almost all gone and we are settling in for a long winter. Soon, the leaves on the ground will be covered in snow, and all the beautiful colors of autumn will be a memory. Fall is my favorite season with the balmy weather, bright colors and time of harvest! I've created this card with these thoughts in mind! ~Enjoy~!

My leaves are from Spellbinders® Fall Foliage dies, and are cut from ivory cardstock, then painted with various mixtures of paints including: Burnt Clay, Pumpkin, Raw Sienna, Rustic Red, Emerald, Green Olive and Sunshine. Once dry, I used the cracked glass technique, then rubbed it with green ink to highlight the cracks. I layered them on an embossed background, attached a twine bow, tiny twigs and a fall sentiment to finish the card.

Have a blessed and creative day! ~ Darsie

Each 1st Monday we will now be sharing 4 Creative Inspiration Paint Colors of the Month and those colors will be on sale for the entire month at 33% off of the original price! For this month the colors for the Fall Season are Burnt Clay, Pumpkin, Raw Sienna and Rustic Red!

I've used these colors on my card:

I also used these additional colors: Emerald, Green Olive and Sunshine

Inspired By: Autumn Colors - Happy Fall Card

Hi CIP fans! Dana here today sharing a fall themed card for the Autumn Colors Challenge this week. I love patterned paper, so I chose a pretty leaf print and highlighted the design with several colors of Creative Inspirations paint.

I used Burnt Clay, Chocolate, Copper, Emerald, Rustic Red and Sunshine paint to help some of the leaves shine. I added some Clear Jeweled Inspirations for a little extra sparkle.

I made a pair of resin leaves with the NEW Resinesence and then painted them with Raw Sienna and Rustic Red paint.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Painted Glass Sun Catcher

Hi CIP fans! Dana here today sharing a quick and fun project for the "Anything Goes" challenge theme this week. Summer is almost over and I'm hanging on to the sunny days for as long as I can! To help capture the rays and bring them into my home, I altered this sun catcher. The Creative Inspirations Paint that I used with one of my favorite floral stamp sets really captures the light. This small piece has helped to brighten my space in a big way!

I used a black permanent ink to stamp the Black Eyed Susan design onto a piece of glass. My piece of glass was not a flat surface, so I did not use a stamping block.

I then painted the stamped image with Creative Inspirations Paint in Chocolate, Copper, Emerald, Green Olive, Ivory, Mango, Onyx and Sunshine.

I twisted a piece of wire around the glass to make a hanger for my sun catcher and added beads to finish.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope I have inspired you to use your paints on something other than paper.

Inspired By: Mother's Day

Hi CIP fans!  Dana here today sharing a tag for the Mother's Day challenge theme. I am lucky enough to live close to a strawberry patch and always make fresh strawberry jam for the special mothers in my life. I found this super cute Mason Jar Stamp Set and made a jar-shaped tag for my jam.  I colored my stamped image with Creative Inspirations Paint in Garnet, Sunshine and Ice Blue.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms!

Love Lives Here

Making projects to display in my home is one of the joys of creating for me. I love taking something and making it pretty to hang in our home. It makes it feel like home by having it there. I'm sure many of you feel this way when you see one of your pieces on your wall or someone else's. It's definitely satisfying. I recently found some shaped wood pieces I had purchased online, but never completed decorating. One was in the shape of a heart and thought it would look really cute for a door hanging... covered of course in Creative Inspirations Paint!

Here is what the finished project looks like...

Before doing anything, I primed the entire heart, front and back using white Gesso. Next, I painted the front using CI Paint in Sunshine and Buttercup. I used some drywall joint tape as a stencil to make the dots in Fuchsia CI Paint. Using Versamark and a flourish Unity Stamp along with some Deliquesce in Fine black, I added the black flourishes over the top of the dotted background. The three colors just popped! I wanted a sentiment, so using some white cardstock painted with more Buttercup paint, I once again embossed the sentiment and house stamp with more Fine Black embossing powder. Fuchsia, Mango and Evergreen were used to color in the heart, sun and tree on the sentiment. I adhered it using Zapdots for dimension. To finish off the piece, I painted the edges, sides and back of the heart with Onyx paint and attached the flower and twine. It is now hanging on our side entry door. I love how it looks when walking up to the door. :)

I've added these close up shots so you can see how bold and bright the colors are... it was a bit cloudy outside, so it's a little harder to see the shimmer. It is very shimmery though!

And here are the colors/products used:

Thank you for stopping by! I'll see you soon!

Welcome back to the challenge for the month of March~
Wow can you believe how fast this month is flying by....before we know it, Easter will be here!
Anyways~
This week's challenge is:
Inspired By: Anything Goes
a fan favorite I know so I hope to see LOTS of projects being linked up!!!

Of course I have some inspiration but before I share my project I want to thank Molly, Kendra and all the very talented CI Paint DT for a GREAT year! I have decided to step down as the challenge coordinator after sharing my projects with you all for the past year. I have truly enjoyed every minute on this talented team working with these amazing paints but it is time to move on so I am turning the reins over to Diana~ you all know her from DL Art . I know she will do such an awesome job continuing these challenges!
So I leave you with my last piece of inspiration~
A cute Easter card using one of my favorite characters~ Riley the Moose.
Here he is up close~
I embossed him using black ink and Deliquesce Clear Embossing Powder.
After coloring him in using my copics I added some Resplendence Angel Dust glitter to the eggs and the chick :)
I added some silver brads to hold my banner pieces up but wanted to add some color so I painted them using Mint, Tanzanite and Sunshine paint.

I hope you have enjoyed my project and will play along with this week's challenge!!
Remember you do not need to use CI Paints on your projects but if you have them we would LOVE to see how you used them!!
As always thanks for stopping by!!
~Jessica~

Leprechaun Duo

Hi CIP fans and followers!  I just had to stamp this sweet Leprechaun for St. Patrick's Day, and to follow along with the current Go Green challenge!  I had fun with Creative Inspirations Paint, and added a bit of paper piecing.  I've used quite a few shimmery paints from the Creative Inspirations Paint store, along with the Deliquesce Metallic Copper embossing powder for the sentiment.  The paint colors used are: Copper (all along the scalloped edge), Carmel and Raw Sienna (stockings), Emerald and Evergreen (Shamrocks and jacket accents), Green Olive (hat sash), Gold (coins and buckles), and Sunshine (star shape in coins).
Here is a closer look at the CIP products that I've used:

Mixed Media - Bugs and Butterflies

Hi CIP fans and followers!  I've been busy with a little challenge with a friend, so I thought I'd share some of that today.  Some are not so easy to see with a glare, and the lesson I learned was not to seal the pieces before taking a photo!  For a clearer look, please feel free to check out the video on my YT channel: HERE.  I've used a ton of shimmery paints from the Creative Inspirations Paint store, and you can probably tell that we were working on bugs and butterflies.  The colors used through the seven pieces combined are: Winter Frost, Fairy Dust, Buttercup, Sunshine, Evergreen, Emerald, Onyx, Tickled Pink, Burnt Sienna, Sky Blue, and Aqua Marine.  I've also used some Angel Dust to add a glittered layer to one piece.
Here is a closer look at the CIP products that I've used:
