♥♥♥Sweet Cupcake Shop Easel Card♥♥♥

♥♥♥Hello everyone, Cheryl here with a Sweet Cupcake card for Creative Inspiration Paints.  ♥♥♥

Today's card features CIP's Resplendence Angel Dust, and Pink Highlights Paint. I thought this Sweet CottageCutz Cupcake shop was perfect to combine with Creative Inspiration Paints and Resplendence Angel Dust.

♥♥♥CLICK on the photo's to see close up♥♥♥

I absolutely LOVE cupcakes, they are sooo YUMMY and SWEET looking!!
On the CottageCutz Cupcake Shop I used CIP's Pink Highlights over the icing,to give it some shimmer. I next added Angel Dust to it too, and then to the icing on the bottom. For my Card base I cut it out using the cricut, and then used spellbinders for the circles. The branches are a punch, and distressed. I added buttons to them.

I thought it would look cute to add a flower half to the bottom to hold up the card.

CIP - Family Christmas Wishes

Hello there Creative Inspirations Paint fans!  I hope that you're all enjoying this holiday season in whatever way you choose to celebrate!

This sweet little gal is from Whimsie Doodles, such a cute image!  I've colored her in Copics and went over the pink with Creative Inspirations Paint in the Pink Highlights, and the white under the 'fur' in Winter Frost.  I've cut a paper doily in half and sprayed it with glimmer mist, the flowers are IAR, and the pretty crocheted piece behind the largest flower was done by my Mom.
Here is the Creative Inspirations Paint used:

Sweeet Floral Delight!

Hello everyone, Cheryl here with my very 1st post for Creative Inspirations Paint, and I'm
Super excited to say the least!!! :)
Today I have a card to share with you all , and hope you like it!! :)
I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE Creative Inspirations Paints, I have used several different colors on my entire card here :) Not only did I stamp with the paints, I colored, distressed and inked up everything on my card :)
Tutu Pink
Blush
Pink Highlights
Chocolate
 Carmel
 Tan
Evergreen
Green Olive

For the tag I used Tutu Pink, I just brushed it on to cover all the white. For the oval frame I used Tan. I love all the shimmer the paints give, they are beautiful!

Next on the flowers, I stamped the pink ones in Blush, heat set, then colored with Tutu Pink, and then cut them out with dies. for the edges of the flowers I used Resplendence Angel Dust from Creative Inspirations Paints. this is sooo pretty and gives a lot of glitz for cards and projects. All I did was brush some glue on the edges and then dipped the one side of the flower into the jar, and then tapped off the excess.

Now for my brown flowers I stamped them in Chocolate and then heat set, and then colored with carmel. I repeated

For the Branches, I used Evergreen and Green Olive to create the look for them, and then punched out the branches.

I used the Jeweled Inspirations for the centers of my flowers :)
For my Crocheted Lace I painted it with Pink Highlights, and for the card stock I painted with Carmel and Tan, also used them both on the doily!

I am Honored to be a part of Creative Inspirations Wonderful DT and absolutely LOVE working with the Paints and glitz. Thank you for looking and hope you have a lovely day!!
I will be back with another post using the paints a little different on Tuesday October 16th, see ya then!!!!
hugs to all,
Cheryl(from Sweeetdesignsbycheryl)

Forever, Mini Album..

This month, for Creative Inspirations Paint I have created a mini album - this project has been in the making for some time, and it is finally nice to have it completed.  I have taken close up photographs at times, to enhance and show the beautiful, shimmery detail of the paints.

The album is a very special one, as it contains memories of my brother, Paul, who is no longer with us.
Throughout the album, I have painted various elements including flowers, chipboard, die-cut doilies, foliage and so forth..... giving the pages, a real spark of shimmer.  I love the 'Gold' in the Creative Inspirations Paint line, it would have to be one of my favourites, that I used ALL the time. Flowers were brushed with Pink Highlights... really bringing them to life...
Cheery Lynn Design die cut elements above, washed in 'Gold'.
Imaginarium Designs Chipboard 'Forever' looks magical, painted in 'Gold'...
More 'Gold'.... oops...can't help myself in the 'gold'...
Pink Highlights, washed over paper elements used throughout the album, to add a beautiful finishing touch.
Sage washed over foliage, again... Gold highlighted over die-cuts..
Close up, looks like I missed places, but I haven't!  :-)
Even edges of book, tags, and rose edges, touched with 'Gold'...

Hope you enjoyed ... my 'special' album... now I'm off to journal 'memories' which I treasure with all my heart....
Sandie

I Miss You Card

Don't forget this month, Creative Inspirations Paint are celebrating their 3rd birthday, and celebrating with 10% off all orders - so do jump on over to the Creative Inspirations Paint website and 'see' all the wonderful products that are available, and stock up!

This week, for Creative Inspirations Paint I have created a card for a dear friend back in South Australia who I miss dearly.  As most know, I am 'new' to colouring in, so please bare with me as I learn the lurks and perks of this wonderful art-form.  Keeping in the lines at times, is a little difficult, with such small areas, but I'm slowly getting better!
All the beautiful shimmer I have tried to capture in the photographs, with the image first being coloured and then Pink Highlights paint added, for instant shine. Resplendence Angel Dust was used on lace areas of the image and also around outer edge of card, looks so pretty and even more so in 'real'.
The leaf beads were also painted firstly with Emerald and then wiped off, so the paint soaked into the veins of the leaves.  Then a wash of Sage was added across the whole leaf.

Have a fantastic week
Sandie

A cup of Cheer

Happy Happy Monday. I hope everyone is having a great start off to the week. I hope everyone had an excellent weekend. I found out what I am having and I am so excited.

So to send off some happiness I am sending everyone a cup of cheer!

I used the stamps from The Great Impressions,  Flowing Teapot and A Cup of Cheer.   I used an older pad from Authentique that seemed kind of perfect for a tea theme. I stamped the sentiment in a pink water based ink to go with the rest the card and then picked a flower out of my stash.

I used my Tim Holtz tiny attacher to attach some lace to the side of the card just to add a touch of tea time. I also used Creative Inspirations Paint Pink Highlights to add sparkle to parts of the cups and teapots as well as other parts of the image.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you stop by tomorrow to see something new.

Altered Candle Holder, Lace and Flower Painting

Last week I happily experimented with Creative Inspiration Paints - using Lace and Flowers.  Sadly, my photos do not give off that beautiful shimmer, I can see in reality.  However, clicking on each photograph enlarges and reveals a lot 'more'.
PLEASE NOTE:  I have altered this candle holder and it is now not intended for use with a flame, but instead, a battery operated device!
I experimented on various types of laces - cotton was fantastic, but boy did it soak in the paint and the colours were extremely vibrant.  When it came to my favourite choice of lace, guipure, I opted to water the mixture right down and the results were perfect, still maintaining the shimmer.  Of course for my project for Creative Inspiration Paints, I used a brighter hue than my normal tastes, as I really wanted the colours to show in my blog posts.  I must add, I certainly am not disappointed that I opted for the brighter version!

The longer, guipure lace was painted in 3 different hues of pink to generate a variegated appearance - from darker to lightest pink: 'Tickled Pink', 'Blush' and 'TuTu Pink'.

The flowers are from 'I am Roses' and they are beautiful to work with in any genre. Each flower was painted using 'Pink Highlights' which gave incandescent results.  So pretty!  The lace leaves I had previously already hand-dyed and were in my stash - though they still received a splash of Olive Green paint,
with gorgeous results.

I highly suggest these beautiful paints if you have not tried them previously, as they really allow a huge amount of scope in the creating field.

Each month on the Creative Inspirations Blog, entrants to the weekly challenge have a chance to win a selection of paints.  There is no requirement for using the paints in your entries, however,  if you 'do', and list the colour names, your name will go into the draw twice.
Have a great day
Sandie

A Book of Memories

Hi Everyone,
I'm very excited to be part of the Design Team for Creative Inspiration Paints! For my first post I created a 'Memory Book' using a variety of elements to host the gorgeous CI paints.  This book is a real book, once read by many, so with a little TLC (perhaps some would say sacrilege) it
has now been altered in a major way.
Every element on my book has been painted.  I used 'Winter Frost' as the cover base.  'Winter Frost' is a brilliant colour to use over 'any' colour - it simply highlights in a magical manner.  The page edges are coloured using 'Antique Gold', giving that old bible appearance. The chipboard pieces by Imaginarium Designs came up a treat using the 'Gold' CI Paint - the shimmer is amazing and when in the right light it looks like millions of beautiful diamonds.
The flowers have been washed in a mixture of 'Fairy Dust', 'Pink Highlights' with touches of 'Gold' thrown in.  The large rose, was painted in 'TuTu Pink', and
Beige', then a watered down mixture of 'Winter Frost', and then 'Fairy Dust' applied.  All foilage was painted with 'Green Olive'.  I used a variety of colours of cardstock for the leaves, so the paint gave a different depth with each colour.  Very pretty!
Every die-cut element was cut from 'White' cardstock, and coloured using various coloured paints.
Inside Cover
The paper flowers (below) came up a treat and look at all that pretty shimmer!  I used paper flowers on the inside of the book, due to them laying flat, therefore they will not get damaged when the book is closed.

Till next time

Sweet Blossom

It's Holly posting today, and I'm sharing my card with this adorable Sweet Blossom stamp from I Brake for Stamps. I colored her with Copic markers and I used the new Stacked Nesties technique from Technique Junkies.

I pulled out two of my Creative Inspirations Paints - Blue Ice and Pink Highlights. I painted Blue Ice all over the blouse, the leggings, and the headband. Pink Highlights was painted over the butterflies and all of the flowers, including the paper flowers on the edges. It's a fun, unexpected touch of shimmer that catches the light when you are holding the card. You can see the shimmer here:

Have a great day!!

Queen of Hearts

Good morning! It's Holly posting today. Have you created your Valentine's cards yet? Here is a departure from the traditional red and white Valentines.

I colored the bear with Copic markers first, and then I used Pink Highlights, Tutu Pink, Blush, and Chocolate paints on the crown, the scepter, and the robe. I painted the chipboard hearts with Chocolate and Blush. Then I wanted a wee bit more shimmer on my card, so I sponged Pink Highlights paint on the pink designer paper background. Can you see the shimmer in the picture below?

I love how the background paper shimmers just from sponging the pale pink paint all over it. It dried within minutes and putting this card together was a breeze. Why don't you try that with your next card? Just pick a pale color of Creative Inspirations Paint, shake it up, dip your sponge into it, and swipe it all over your designer paper. You will love the shimmer! :-)

Stamps: Valentine Queen Bear from I Brake for Stamps
Ink: Rich Cocoa Memento
CS: Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, Crazy Love dp (Bo Bunny)
Creative Inspirations Paint: Pink Highlights, Tutu Pink, Blush, Chocolate
Other: Copic markers, Maya Road chipboard hearts, sponge, May Arts suede ivory ribbon
