Quite a lot to say!

What a week!

Rainbow buttons, 3 scarves, 2 books and a craft fair later, I actually get to sit and write my blog!
Yes things have been slightly manic and that's just on the crafting side!

Here's some pic's of the things Iv made.............

Rainbow buttons

A5 Leaf Art Books
Scarves

I was also at the Coventry Motoring Festival at the weekend. This was a great Festival and all the cars were fantastic! (And I'm not a car girlie either!)

Fab market stand and loads of room!!

I got rather excited when the VW camper vans went by! Herbie, Laural and Hardy, toad and badger and a cracking striped mini were also there................

Yeah for sunshine!

Hoooooray! The sun is out and iv finally taken photographs. (Hung the washing out and taken some more painkillers!)

New Cuffs
I love my handmade buttons on these. Iv also been playing with some velvet that someone gave me.

Also......

Leaf Embroidered Books
These are lovely little books that iv picked up over my travels. They have white 150gsm cartridge paper inside them, which is ideal for a sketch book, journal or diary.

Iv needle felted some merino wool and mounted that on handmade crushed paper. Then iv free hand embroidered on organza and a skeleton leaf. A little piece or artwork in its self. I love skeleton leaves as you may of guessed. I feel like there may be more of these being made. I must scout the Internet for some more books!

What a month!

This month has been rather busy. I have made the hard decision to stop making my bath and skin care ranges. At this current time of our economical climate, its not viable. Before anyone panics, yes I'm still making my felted soaps! There so bright and funky that i cant bring myself not too. So its all systems go to get enough stock rolling for my stalls in the other things that I do.

Crocheting!
Iv started to crochet, well just flowers at the moment!. I would like to say a big thank you to my Mum D for being so patient in teaching me how to do this.

These are my brooches and a photo of my hair clips will follow at a later date. There rather sweet to brighten up a plain top or jacket.

Buttons Buttons Buttons!!!

These are just a few which have been made over the past week. Some are made for projects and others to card up and sell on my craft stall.

Shawls, Scarfs and Flowers
These are my latest!

A Black, white, grey and turquoise combination of merino wool with silver glitter pieces entwined.

Firer...... Combination of different reds with oranges and brown silk threads intermingled.

Rainbow...... A lovely merino and silk combination materials mixed together. Skeleton leafs have also been felted in the edges of the shawl. Wool from Shunkies.

Rainbow colours combined with different colours of mohair.

All flowers have been made to go with the flowers. Iv cupped the centre buttons to give a sense of depth to the flowers.

Braunstone in Rutland Fete
I would like to thank everyone that made me so well come on Bank Holiday Monday at the Braunstone in Rutland Fete. It was a lovely day, despite the rain. It was a very different setting than usual, in a small church with our stalls on planks of wood over the pews. I am definatley looking forward to it next year.

Iv been playing!

Well as I said, I bought somethings from the exhibition and iv finally had the chance to play with them. These are my results with the Fimo. Its was harder that I thought and iv needed to order some more supplies as iv used such a lot. I need to be more light handed!

This year iv made our Mothers Day and Godmothers Day (Something that I do!) presents:

Hopefully none of the Godmothers or Mothers aren't looking!

Here are my new flower brooches!
Theres more on the way as I haven't finished my mums, mine and my daughters pressie's yet..... Best get them done as I haven't made the cards yet!!
