50th Anniversary Box Favors

Here's something I made for my Mom and Dad's 50th Anniversary, celebrated last weekend. I found this Wedding Gown like box and decided I had to make them for family and friends who joined us to celebrate my parent's renewal of vows. I'm so lucky to have my folks together all these years. Filled with love and honor, they're such inspiration to that special bond of marriage.
Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad! When God brought you together over fifty years ago, He gave your love, His blessings and encouraged it to grow. And after fifty golden years of partnership and love, your life together still is blessed and guided from above. All God's blessings to you both on your special anniversary :)
Here's another look of the favors gathered in a cake plate :)
Supplies and Tools used:
- BigShot Die - Petal Cone die #121810 - Tasteful Trim #120893 - for the scallops of the dress (must texture emboss first) - Textured Impressions Embossing Folder - Finial Press #115963
Punch:
- Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack #118309 - flower shape (for the bouquet) - 3/4" circle punch #119873 (for backing of the bouquet) - Full Heart punch #119883 (2 punch outs for the top of the gown and must texture emboss first)
Other Supplies:
- 5/8" Organza Ribbon #114319 (wrap around the base of the heart and tip of the petal cone box then tie a bow behind) - Basic Pearls #119247 (stick 3 small pearls onto the bouquet to add dimension) - Gold Vellum (not SU, for the skirt swag, used a 2-1/2" Circle punch #120906 to cut a portion) - used transparent labels for the caption

Petal Cone Box - Wedding

TGIF everyone!! I'm so glad I was able to get through this week. It was another hectic week for me fulfilling orders, completing projects and classes! Ok now, here's a new die from the 2011 Occacions Mini Catalogue, the Petal Cone Die #121810.
This will look good to use as a Wedding favor with your BLISS stamp set. (I'm growing to love this stamp set from the SAB catalogue). I've seen some of these types of boxes as tea boxes with a leaf on it...ding, ding, ding.. that's another idea for another project. More to come....

To make a handle for this box, I snipped off an itty bitty piece on the top of the cone and inserted a 15/16" Satin Ribbon #109862(Chocolate Chip Brown). I just had to poke the ribbon from the inside, through the hole. Well before you do that, staple the ends of the ribbon loop so it does not go all the way through the box.

Then I tied a Hemp Twine #100982 on it so it completes the handle part of the box :) You may use a thinner ribbon too.

I was also saying to the Luv2Stamp group, this box was suppose to be my SWAP for the meeting this weekend. But it was too bulky to ship and handle for a SWAP.. darn. Anyway, if I attend maybe next year, I may hand-carry them.

Supplies Used:

Cardstock:
- Crumb Cake
- Shimmery White (for the Bliss caption)
- Chocolate Chip Brown

Stamp Set:
- Bliss Stamp Set - (2011 SAB Catalogue)- #121851- W or #123217- C

Ink Pad:
- Old olive
- Early Espresso

Punch:
- Large Oval Punch #119855
- Scallop Oval Punch #119856

BigShot:
- Petal Cone Die #121810 - (2011 Occassions Mini)

Other Supplies:
- Jewels Basic Pearl #119247
- Hemp Twine #100982
- 15/16" Satin Ribbon- Chocolate Chip Brown #109862

10 More Ways with the Mini Heart Box - Wedding Favors

Hi, there! In the birth of these boxes, I found some few inspirations through my followers. With these comments, they openned up new doors for my creations and I just wanted to share them with you.

First of all, I would like to thank Cristy for commenting in my blog which led me to her blog, HokieCoyote. These are the types of projects I see outside my blog, through sharing. Thanks again, Cristy!
I love your blog.

With her inspiration, I integrated my boxes with her card of hearts. I just had a few twicks with the buttons of the groom. I had to use the Jewels Basic Pearls #119247 (used the 2nd to the smallest pearl). With a black Sharpie pen, I colored it so it looked like black beaded buttons...hehe. That's what you can call, "Forced Improvision"... BTW, the tie was made with 2 snipped hearts at the edge.

With the bride's box, I used Shimmery White CS (love this paper so much) #101910 with Basic Gray #121044.
Then used the same Jewels Basic Pearls set (used the biggest pearl in the set).

10 More ideas to these Heart Boxes:

1. You can also make the tie RED so it can be your Valentine favors!!!

2. I would also put an ultra-tiny rosette on the grooms box side so it looks like a buttoneer...hihi.

3. On the bride's box, emboss your cover with Textured Embossing folders

4. Use Rhinestone's instead of pearls.

5. For Valentine's Day, make red and pink boxes and put 3 in a bigger box as a set. Fill them with chocolates and love :)

6. These can be Wedding Ring boxes!

7. Print Name tags of the bride and groom and set them inside, at the back cover.

8. Print out "Thank You" or stamp "Thank You" then punch out with Full Heart Punch, then use this to make the backings of the base of your box. So when they open the box, it says "Thank you" inside!

9. Make these boxes like ornaments. Just punch out a hole on the top of the box and add sheer, satin or lace ribbon. Don't punch a hole on the base of the box because it will not open.

10. For elegant presentation, get those paper doilies for cupcakes and have these boxes lay on them. So beautiful!

Cake Slice Boxes - Wedding and Anniversary

Another day of fun and creations! I finally got an order for a 30th Anniversary. I think the tradition is to celebrate it with Pearls and Diamonds. It was not really hard to come up with something for wedding because SU has all the tools for the occassion. From embossing to the embellishments, to the paper and the stamps! How easy is that!

This is my first Wedding Slice. I love using the hues of white and vanilla! I used the Shimmery White cardstock #101910 for the cake body and Whisper white for the top and doily. Of course, the flowers should be in Very Vanilla to apply contrast! The flowers here are also spritz with the new Smooch Spritz - Vanilla Shimmer #118772. Always perfect! I used the Elegant Bouquet Textured Impression Folder #115964 on this piece. Then decorated it sparingly with rhinestone. (featured is not SU). But used the Pretties Kit #109114 for the pearl embellishment. I added also my favorite White Organza Ribbon #114319. The ribbon looked like the train on a wedding dress as well as it did here in this cake slice.

I was asked to make a male version of the slice so all I could think of are darker shades of beige. I went with Creamy Caramel #102514(retiring)for the body. I will miss this color very much! I used the same Very Vanilla on the flower to create unison. And embellished with the 5/8"-Chocolate Chip Brown Satin Ribbon #117287. The Textured Embossing Folder I used here is the Manhattan Flower #114517 and the Perfect Polka Dots #117335.

A Wedding Favor Ensemble

Don't adjust your screens yet..hehe. Your screen is not in black and white. My project featured today is in the shades of Gray, Black and White. So stay stay put. ;)

I'm so pleased with all of SU!s Textured Impression Folder Die. They're all so elegant and so easy to use with the Big Shot. This week I'll be using alot of the folders and will show you what beautiful projects it can create!

This ensemble will have 3 coordinating projects. It's a beautiful set you can case on your next workshop, too!! This set features:
#1- Congrats Card for the couple to attach onto a gift,

#2- a gift tag or a thank you 3x3 card,

#3- an A-frame purse as a cute gift card holder or it may be a wedding favor or a thank you card holder with a token.

Wedding Favors - Ghirardelli Boxes

Whew!!! I just made this order for my friend from Canada, Carina. She'll be attending the wedding of her niece in July and wanted to be ready for the big event. She expressed that the motif was going to be bright yellow. What better timing to use that retiring classic color, Crushed Curry!!! They came out soooo lovely with the Sahara Sand ink I used for the Very Vanilla background..mmmm. As soon as they were done, I stacked them on these tiered plates to see how it would look in a presentation. I was not disappointed. Just perfectly dainty and lovely!!!

After making these favors, I will be sad to see this color go... but I'll never forget its vibrant and unique color. Crushed Curry cardstock #115319, will be available only until June 30,2010.

Here's a closer look:

25th Anniversary Favors

Happy Anniversary to Archie and Nette!!! I've been wanting to show these to everyone but I didn't want to spoil the surprise for them. These are the Wedding favors for their renewal of wedding vows on April 8th. They're CD holders that will hold a montage CD of their last 25 years together. Isn't that sweet!!! Congratulations, to both of you, Nitz!!!

These 5-1/2" square CD holders were embossed with the Fineal Impression Folder which are smudged with SU! pearl-like shimmery paint, dabbed with a sponge dauber. The effect, a Platinum finish!

I stamped them with 3 lovely stamp sets:
- Vintage Vogue,
- Define Your Life using Basic Gray ink,
- then silver powder heat-embossed the monogram letters from Lovely Letters Alphabet!

To finish it, I tied around a lovely SU Sheer White Ribbon to give that soft touch! Just perfect!!! NOTE: I used a 1" circle punch to put a half punch circle on top of the holder for easier CD access.

I also made these lovely Fabric-Frayed Flower Brooch for her honorable guests. The combination of basic black, very vanilla, basic gray and silver just spelled elegance for this occassion. NOTE: I put some extra netting for an added lift.

Ornament Punch Flower Tutorial

Hi there! I just can't resist making these flowers this morning as soon as I found them in Stamping Connection. The credit goes to Rhea Anderson. Just to share with you how much fun I had, I'm giving you this Step-By-Step illustrated tutorial of the punched flower.

Supplies Needed:
- Ornament Punch #116794
- 1-3/8" Circle Punch #104401
- Tombow Multi Purpose Glue #110755 or Crystal Effects Glue #101055 p.192 (IBC)
- Whisper White CS #100730 p.155 (IBC)
- Optional: Sponge #101610 p.192 for sponging the tips of the flower

Step 1 : Punch out all the Ornament Punch you may punch in 1 sheet Whisper White CS then curl them as illustrated, with a pen.

Step 2: Then glue the ornament petal pieces onto the 1-3/8" circle as illustrated. And work inward onto the center of the flower.

Step 3: As you go closer into the middle, you will need to curl your ornament petals around a pen as illustrated. You will need more curl.

Step 4: To glue the center pieces, assist with a pen as illustrated to press down the center of the flower.

Step 5: As soon as you're done with the flower, I like crunching it this way so the petals will curl together in harmony.

Voila!!! We have a beautiful flower! You may also want to sponge the edges of your petals to make it lovelier. I hope this helps!!! Have fun making them :)
