12 Tags of Christmas 2013 - Tag 12

Ho, Ho, Ho, Merry Christmas to ALL!!! Like everyone else, I was busy with holiday TO-DOs. As promised, my last tag here. Yes, a Santa owl tag. It's the cutest ever! To learn how to make the owl, click HERE.
To make the owl's feathered horn, use the piece cut on one side of the 2-1/2" circle owl body. The owl body was made cutting equally a 2-1/2" inch circle punch on 3 sides. To put hightlights on the owl's eye, use the Owl Punch (use the smallest circle)
I used the Build A Bear accessory BigShot Die (Santa Hat) , used the Windor Word Punch as the rim of the Santa Hat and used the Itty Bitty Punch Set (scallop) for the Santa Hat pom-pom.

12 Tags of Christmas 2013 - Tag 9

I told you! I love making owls :) But these can pass as any type of bird without the 2 pointy ears. Like Tag #8, the body of the owl is just a 2-1/2" Circle punch then cut straight on 3 sides.
Other PUNCH Used:
- Window Word Punch for the rim of the hat
- Modern Label punch for the scarf
- 1" circle Punch for the outer eye socket
- 3/4" Circle Punch for the white of the eye
- 1/2" circle punch for the inner eye
- Heart to Heart punch for the wings (use the 2 long heart adhere side by side as feathered wings)
- 1-3/4" Circle punch, used on the belly of the owl (after adhering the piece, cut off the remaining piece)
- 1-3/4" Circle punch, cut the piece in half and shape like a bonnet (use "Stripes" textured embossing folder to give texture to the bonnet)
- Itty Bitty Punch set (round one for the tip of the bonnet)
- cut a piece of triangle to use as the Owl's beak
Again, I used colored glitter paper.

12 Tags of Christmas 2013 - Tag 8

Who loves owls? I do! :) Big owls, small owls, look like owls, I love them all :) I was inspired to do this tag when I saw a cute Snow Owl. Hence... These owls are quite different from the other owls I made. I used the 2-1/2" Circle punch and cut 3 sides of the circle, leaving one side curve. Check out the tag.
Punch Used:
- 1" circle Punch for the outer eye
- 1/2" circle punch for the inner eye before using 3/8" Googly eyes
- 3/4" Square Punch and cut into 2 triangles for the ears
- Heart to Heart punch for the wings (use the 2 long heart adhere side by side as feathered wings)
- scallop edge border for the waves on the owl's breast
- cut a piece of triangle to use as the Owl's beak
Use glitter paper, it would look magical :) BTW, use 1 to 2 inches of eyelash ribbon to put in between the eyes of the owl. Use 2 strands. They look like feathers :)

12 Tags of Christmas 2013 - Tag 6

Hi! I got this idea from a Hallmark Ornament called New Home. It just gave me a great cozy feeling. Please note that the snowman on this tag is a snowman boarder that I cut individually. It's made of foam. You can always make or shape your own snowman using circle punch :)
First of all, you will need a 3" by 3" cardstock for the house. Then cut both corners on the top to make the shape of a roof.
PUNCH and DIES USED:
- Tasteful Trip BigShot Die for the snow on the roof top
- Jewelry Tag Punch for the windows of the house
- Scallop Oval Punch for the door
- Modern Label Punch for the Merry Christmas sign
I also use tinsel wire to make a wreath. Glitters are always a plus.

12 Tags of Christmas 2013 - Tag 5

Another tag as we go near Christmas Day :) Here are cuties that will grace your gifts with a smile :) Penguins have been one favorite character during the season. That's why I can't pass on the opportunity to create one. I hope you'll enjoy making them as I did :)
PUNCH USED:
- 2-1/2 inch circle punch for the penguin's body
- Large Oval punch for the penguin's belly
- Bird Builder punch (use the bird wings) for the penquin's wings
- Small Oval for the white eyes and feet of the penguin
- Owl Punch for the medium and large eye of the penguin (one is bigger than the other)
- Build A Bear accessory Bigz Die (retired die where I used the Santa hat, you can use pennant punch if you don't have the die)
- Window Word Punch for the hat's rim
OTHER PIECES:
- cut a small triangle for the beak
- Use pom pom for the had (it's always so cute on these hats)
- Use any embellishment like a snowflake or a bow.

12 Tags of Christmas 2013 - Tag 4

Our tags today are these cute snowman tags. It's one of the easiest ones I've made. Chilly as it is, these will definitely create a frosty feeling!
PUNCH USED:
- 1/4" square punch for the top hat
- small oval punch for hat rim
- snowflake punch for the stick hands
- 2-1/2" circle punch for the bottom part of the snowman
- 1-3/4" circle punch for the middle part of the snowman
- 1-1/4" circle punch for the snowman head
- used hand punch for the eyes and cut a piece of the scallop circle to make the nose.
Cut a 1/2" by 3" DSP piece, then cut in half. To make it look like a scarf, cut snippets on the ends. You may also use black glitter paper for the hat! Enjoy!

12 Tags of Christmas 2013 - Tag 3

Yes! It's 14 days until Christmas! Don't panic.... not until the 7th day before Christmas...hihi! We sold the last tag in the store today and what do we do??? Make some tags! Here's a set that you can enjoy!
I used my DSP (Designer Series Paper) from last Christmas. Cut 1-1/4" by 12" and score them 1/4 inch apart, alternately. If you are using a Scoring Pad, score your DSP at 1/2" apart from the 1/4" mark. Then invert the DSP and score again at 1/2" apart, this time from the 1/2" mark. After folding the scored DSP alternately (like an accordion), glue together the ends.
In a 1-1/2" circle punch piece, blop some glue on the center. Position your accordion DSP where the glued 1-1/2" circle piece would be on the center. Push the accordion DSP towards the center into the glue.
TO MAKE THE SANTA PUNCH ART:
Use the Pennant Punch for Santa's Hat;
Use the Scallop Circle Punch for Santa's Beard and Hair;
Use the 1-1/4" circle punch and cut in half to create Santa's Face;
Use the Cupcake Builder Punch (use the frosting part) to create part of Santa's beard;
Use the Owl Punch (use the Medium circle) to create Santa's nose;
To add on some pom pom on the top of Santa's Hat
You may also make other designs for the center of your tags. The gift with ribbon was made using 3/4" square punch and the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch on glitter paper. The Decorative Label punch is always helpful to add dimension to your tags :)
Finally, don't forget your ribbons! I used glue gun to adhere my DSP, Ribbons and Santa. Fast adhering!

12 Tags of Christmas 2013 - Tag 2

First of all, thank you so much for greeting me back here, my blog friends. Creations on Paper would not be what it is today without you guys.
As most of you know, my favorite tools would be punch and die cuts. I'm also thankful to Stampin' Up! that I can get them in one place. And I'm still continuing to do so!
Remember the Build-A-Bear BigShot Dies? Yes, you can still bring them out and play with them! Just get a cut of your Holiday ribbon and use your favorite caption stamps.. Viola!!! TAGS GALORE!!! BTW, I used the Pennant punch to get my glitter paper triangles and used my itty bitty punch again for the Santa Hat!!! The girly shoes you see here was also a Build-A-Bear accessory die that came separately.
So cute, huh!!! One of my rules during the holidays is use GLITTER! GLITTER! EVERYWHERE!!...
To My dear Carol Carriveau, you are always so sweet to me. I'm so lucky to have you as a friend :)

Tinkerbell's Friends Petal Boxes

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!
This year, I've made so many projects but have not been posting them in my blog. So I decided, as the Holidays are here, I will be sharing some of them as we grow closer to Christmas! :)
Here's one of my favorite, dressing up petal cone boxes. This time, these are dressed up Tinkerbell's friends!!!! They were a hit at the Tinkerbell party and gave kids a tickle. Me too, teehee!
They were so easy to make. I just used the Petal Punch, Oval punch, Circle Punch, Heart Punch, Big Shot Dies, as well as Embossing Textured Folders to add some texture on the skirt-leaves. Please let me know if you have any questions or suggestions. Please visit my blog and my Stampin Up Website! Have a nice day!

Tinker Bell Petal Box

My niece's first birthday is coming up and I learned that her birthday party motif will be Tinker Bell, the tiny fairy in Peter Pan! I was just so excited for her and so happy that she's turning ONE! How time flies!
I woke up this morning having this image in mind and I had to express it by making this cute Tinker Bell Petal Box! I couldn't get the exact face of Tinker Bell but I think I got her expression and essence of her tiny existence..hihi! But this will do :) I hope you like it! :)
TOOLS I USED:
SU! Punch and Diecut:
- Large Oval Punch for the face and the hair (hair is cut in half with zigzag cut) #119859
- 1/2" circle punch for the white eyes and the hair bun #119869

- Petal Cone BigShot Bigz Die #121810
- Blossom Petals Builder used for the skirt and the wings #121808

Easter Treat Box - Little Lambs

Easter is here again and it's one of my favorite season to make little treat boxes. Here's something you can giveaway with Ghirardelli squares or Hershey Kisses in them :)
As you may see how easy it is to make the sheep or lamb in this project. Just use a few SU! punch:
2-3/8" Scallop Circle for the Head,
1-3/4" Scallop Circle for the body,
Window Word punch for the legs,
5 petal punch for the ears,
Heart of Hearts for the ribbon,
Extra Large Oval punch for the snout,
Small Oval punch for the nose,
1/2" Circle Punch for the eyes,
Owls Punch eyes for the inner eyes and the center of the bow.
Making the box was so easy and at the quickest time. Instructions to follow.

Post Christmas Card

Hi,everyone! Yikes, this is the 1st Holiday I've been in MIA (missing in action)!!! I just had so much going on in my life... Transition, Work, Personal issues, death in the family, adapting, coping, and acceptance!!! All this in one season... I think I need to divert. But before I can do that, I need to do it one baby step at a time. Time and Life, is what we all go through. There's always time for things in life... Time for compassion, Time for forgiveness, Time for acceptance, Time for Love.... etc.
Now I make Time for Creativity and Time for Sharing... Here's one you can cherish through out the season (what's left of it :) Maybe you can just change the hat of the owl :)
For the Santa Hat, I just used the Owl Punch and cut the owl in half and make the owl ears as the tip of Santa's Hat :) I also got some mini pom poms for the hat... doesn't it look sooooo cute!!! Always adds that extra touch when you go dimensional :)
Used the glitter paper which I sooo love! Just use the Window Word punch and cut the piece in half, then shape the edges. I'll always be using this paper forever and always.
Used Textured Embossing Folder where you may also use any kind.
I used a stamp set called "Merry Merry Messages" but I'm not sure if it's retired or not. Then I heat embossed the stamp image with Gold Embossing powder :) It took awhile if you are making alot of this cards, but it was fun making them :)
You can find a Polka Dot DSP anywhere these days... it's just darling to use them with a Santa Hat :) hihi.
BTW, I made these owls with my Tags this year and they look so AWESOME!!!!
Have fun making them :)

Thanksgiving Turkey Blossom Box

GOBBLE GOBBLE!!! Happy Thanksgiving to ALL!!! This year's turkey may have to be put on hold but I just could not resist doing it on paper for you :) I brought out my Blossom Box Die #123127 and just thought it would be perfect for a turkey's body. Then came the head and the feathers :)
The Head was made using the following:
- Scallop Oval Punch (for the turkey's face)
- 3/4" Square Punch (for the top hat)
- Window Punch (for the hat's rim)
- 1/2" Circle Punch (for the turkey's eye balls)
- Owl Punch (use the medium circles for turkey's black iris)
- Petite Pennants Builder Punch (for the turkey's neck)
- Blossom Petals Builder Punch (smallest petal for the turkey's beak)
- Heart to Heart punch (use the big heart for the Turkey waddle, use red glitter paper to add some highlight)
The Feathers: Use 4 colors of Cardstock and punch all four petals each)
- Blossom Petals Builder Punch (use the biggest petals for the tail feathers and Smallest, Medium, Large for the wings)
- Emboss the tail feathers to give more texture
- Use Glue Gun to adhere your feathers and turkey head on the box
Well I think that's it!!! Enjoy making your turkey box!!! It's sooo cute and attractive on your Thanksgiving Table :) I hope this was not too late to post but you can always use it next year.
I always thank the LORD for having my blog friends and followers around. You all keep me inspired to create and go on.

Happy Mickey Halloween Box

BOO!! It's Halloween again and I could not pass up this opportunity to share with you a Halloween creation this year. With a box pattern I featured recently, I made Mickey's version of a pirate for Halloween. It came out really cute!!! hehe. All I had to do was just punched out a 1" circle of Basic Black and cut it in half to use as an eye patch to Mickey. Then cut approximately 2-1/2" to 2-3/4" strip to make the strap of the eye patch and adhere on top as illustrated (just trim excess piece).
The colors of Halloween was not too hard to decide on. You may play around with the shades of Orange, Green, Purple with Black. Then you got your traditional Halloween colors!
These boxes can be used as treat boxes for any occasion! To make a Mickey Box, click HERE.

My New Blog Banner - Spring Forest

Hi! It's been a long time since I've updated my Blog Banner. I was beginning to believe that it will never be changed.... nah!!! I need change and I did!!! Spring has finally sprung and I guess this banner will last me until Fall... hahaha. Oh well, we'll just have to be happy with what we have... I'm ok, I'm still creating. The juices are still flowing..hehe.

Anyway, here's my so called "Spring Forest" which I splashed colors of Spring then I decided that I had to combine colors and move on to Summer... why not??!!! Before we know it, it's here. I'm still feeling the winter here in SoCal and it's not funny anymore. So with a little spring-like feeling, I just had to make my own forest :)

I hope you like it. I'm sure you'd like to know how I made my riding hood :) It's obvious, I made her hoody with the ornament punch. Her face is tricky, where I had to use my large oval punch #119855 and punched out the first punch piece to make it smaller for a face that would fit the hoody. If not, the oval will be bigger than your ornament punch.

Other Punch used:
- used the Cupcake Builder Punch #121807 for the eyes.
- Petite Pennant Builder #122361 for the body
- Blossoms Petals Builder #121808 for the Orange Tree
- 2-1/2" Circle Punch #120906 - for the Island Indigo Tree
- 1-3/8" Circle Punch #119860 - for the Melon Mambo Tree
- Bird Builder Punch #117191 - for the green Certainly Celery and Garden Green Trees
- Itty Bitty Punch Pack #118309 - for the flowers on the tree, Riding Hood's ribbon and Riding Hood's hand (with 2 petals cut off)
- Jewelry Tag #117190 - for Riding Hood's arm
- Heart to Heart #119881- using the medium heart - for the feet
- Owl Punch ##118074 - for the owl
- 1/2", 3/4", 1" Circle punch for the 3-tiered Tree
- Tasteful Trim Bigz XL Die #120893 - for the Early Espresso bottom Scallop border
- Branches/Barks of the tree were done with Freehand cut
- Textured Impression Folder - Adorning Accents #125601 - for the Melon Mambo Ground texture
- DSP (I used an old one and you may just find an Old Olive DSP design too)
- 1/2" Circle Punch - for the round decor on the bottom Scallop Boarder

Ok, I guess that's it! Let me know if I missed some details for you. Have a nice day and just be happy :) Smile Always :)
