Color Outside the Lines

Hey everyone. I have my last reveal for the Scrap Our Stash design team to share with you today. It's for the June Pick Your Side Sketch Challenge. I went with the right side of the sketch. I layered polka dot paper behind two of my photos and added number stickers as well. I used Vicki Boutin's 'Color Kaleidoscope' collection. When I saw the pen and pencil ephemera and the color outside the lines tag, I knew I had to use it for this layout. I also used her watercolor markers and silver glaze for the background. Below are some close ups and the challenge. Thanks for stopping by.

You Are My Happy

Hey everyone. Here's my take on this month's Saturday Cartoon Sketch Challenge at Scrap Our Stash. For the yellow part of the challenge I added yellow ink to the background and used yellow pattern paper as well as some yellow embellishments. For the square part I added 2 square stickers. This was truly a stash challenge as I used a collection from 2014!! It was a line from Teresa Collins called 'Daily Notes'. I added watered down yellow distress ink to the top part of my page and a light green water colour marker to the bottom portion. It's very faint but it's there. Below are some close ups and the challenge. Thanks for stopping by.

Quiet Time

Hey everyone. I have my take on the May Pick Your Side Sketch Challenge at Scrap Our Stash, to share with you today. This month I picked the left side of the sketch, and I added a tag to the top of the mat framing the photo. I love this photo of my grandson flipping through a book on his chair. So adorable!! The ' Hardy Hodgepodge' collection from Jillibean Soup matched perfectly!! For the background I applied some watered down distress oxide ink, and then flicked some water to make watermarks. I also added some ink through an alphabet stencil and then splatters in three colours. Below are some close ups and the challenge. Thanks for stopping by.

Hey everyone. Got another Saturday Cartoon Sketch Challenge from Scrap Our Stash to share with you today. I chose to use rainbow colours on my page. This is one of my favourite photos of my daughter and grandson. I used Cocoa Vanilla's new 'Happiness' collection. This line is so beautiful!! I used Vicki Boutin's new watercolour markers for the background. A little certainly goes a long way with these markers. Below are some close ups and the challenge. Thanks for stopping by.

It's a Boy's World

Hey everyone. I have my take on the Saturday Cartoon Challenge from Scrap Our Stash to share with you today. I was inspired by Bedtime Bear, who is blue and has a star and a moon on his tummy. I used Simple Stories' 'Lil Dude' line for this page of my grandson on a 4 wheeler. I applied watered down distress ink with the packaging technique and then stamped a bit on the background. Below are some close ups and the challenge. Thanks for stopping by.

Kayaking Fun

Hey everyone. Happy Saturday!! I have my take on this month's Pick Your Side Sketch Challenge from Scrap Our Stash. I dug into my stash to find this collection from My Mind's Eye called 'Happy Camper'. I picked the left side of the sketch and used washi tape from Basic Grey. I really love the double sketch and had a ton of pictures from kayaking so I decided to create a double page. Below are some close ups, the challenge and the other half of my page. Thanks for stopping by.

Winter Fun

Hey everyone. Here's my take on March's Saturday Cartoon Sketch Challenge at Scrap Our Stash. Snoopy inspired me to create a page of my grandson and one of his dogs. I rotated the sketch due to my vertical photos. For the green embellishments I used a green ephemera frame as well as some green brads. I used Carta Bella's 'Let it Snow' collection for this layout. For the background I applied watered down distress ink with a brayer and then added splatters. Below are some close ups and the challenge. Thanks for stopping by.

Thankful

Hey everyone. Here’s my take on this month’s Saturday Cartoon challenge at Scrap Our Stash. Popeye and Olivia inspired me to create a page of my daughter and her fiancĂ©. I don’t have many pictures of just the two of them so I chose this photo of them with my grandson. For the stash portion of the challenge I added some ephemera, sticker and chipboard hearts. I used Simple Stories' "Forever Fall" collection for this page. I love the colours in this line. The cutfile was from Just Nick cutfiles. Below are some close ups and the challenge. Thanks for stopping by.
