fire up the grill - CTMH StarsSparklersScrapbooking grill watermelon - Cricut Lite BlockParty Steak

My hubby is a wonderful griller using the outdoor grill. My grilling is usually done on the George Foreman grill inside.

Made this using CTMH Stars & Sparklers Scrapbooking stamp/die for the grill, watermelon, sentiment and accernt plaid piece at top left & top right. Used Cricut Lite image for steak. Cricut Lite cartridges were exclusive to WalMart many years ago. I have 15 of the Cricut Lite cartridges and like the simple easy way they assemble.

other: Glossy accents (used on watermelon seeds)

   Watermelon - Seedless or Not

    As far as watermelon to eat I prefer no seeds but the ones with the black seeds tend to be sweeter. When younger I use to put salt on watermelon. Not sure why. No longer do that.

  To use the stamp/die set to make some watermelon I liked adding the seeds so follow along with the pictures and see how I made the watermelon.

  I discovered that some times I prefer to die cut the image first and then stamp which is the case with the watermelon.

  I discovered that it was better looking to stamp the red of the watermelon first and then line up the rind, stamp the rind & then stamp the seeds. I also used a pencil color to fill in some of the rind. Think that it would also look good using a dauber to add ink to outer part of rind.

 I use a MISTI for most of my stamping but a block could also be used. If using a block then you would still line up the stamp and then lift onto block.

Watermelon A Slice of Summer Card

Watermelon has always been a fav of mine in the Summer.

Made this card using Cricut cartridge Just Because Cards. Had been neglecting to use my Cricut and am going to try to use it more. Added some liquid glass to thewatermelon for more of a realistic look. Used a Cardz TV stamp,  Fun in the Sun, that I have had for awhile but first time using. Added some watermelon pattern paper to the inside of card.
