Cricut Explore Air & Hello Telephone Card

Bought the Cricut Explore Air at Michaels Sun 3/15. Came with bundle of Lia Griffith projects, extra mat & 1 mth free subscription to online image library. With the help of Joy Tracey of Obsessed with Scrapbooking video & a guy named Ken's video I was able to get it connected or in Air terms 'paired' with my computer. If anyone is needing help please let me know and I'll see if I can help.

Like the fact that you do not have to mess with blade setting, speed or pressure. You select the material you are using and the settings are taken care of. The pen is easy to insert. It came with blade already in. I need to sync up my Gypsy w/ Design Space since I have loaded some new Cricut cartridges since last sync. Design Space indicates # of cartridges you have purchased that you have linked up with Gypsy/CraftRoom/Cricut Explore Air/Design Space.

It came with some cardstock & other materials as well as a silver pen. Made the sample Hello Telephone Card shown below.

Stamped Hero Arts sentiment & Bee for inside. Used a Simon Says Stamp words bubble die to cut out sentiment. Used Wink of Stella silver pen for faux stitching of words bubble. Heat embossed clear embossing powder on Bee. Used HA Bee die. Used Gellyroll white & Wink of Stella clear on Bee.

Red White Blue hello Telephone Tag

Created this Clean & Simple CAS Tag using Tim Holtz Vintage Magnetic Die Telephone.

Used a Nabisco Saltines Cracker Box cardboard for Telephone. Did not know until after I cut it that I had the red/white/blue stripe look from the soup image on the Cracker Box. Is that not cool!

Cut the Telephone with TH Vintage Magnetic Die Telephone using cardboard.

Used Kraft americana cardstock for Tag.

Stamped sentiment on mini tag at top of Tag.

Used Spellbinder Edgeabilities Classic Ric Rac for red stripes that go over the edge of the Tag.

Popped the Telephone on card using foam adhesive.

Supplies List

adhesive: foam

hello Telephone Mini Card

Created this Clean & Simple CAS Mini 3" x 3" card using Tim Holtz Vintage Magnetic Die Telephone. CASEd Yvonne Moretin's card of Adventure of the Creative Mind which you can see here. I decided to go with a Vintage look and use wavy lines for the background.

Used a Nabisco Saltines Cracker Box cardboard for sturdiness to back of Telephone.

Cut the Telephone with TH Vintage Magnetic Die Telephone using core'dinations off-white (for center of dial), TH core'dinations cardstock: black (telephone) & gray (dial). Used TH sander & TH Distress Ink to distress the Telephone. Attached cardboard to back of Telephone for sturdiness.

Used TH Distress Ink on edge of Kraft cardstock.

Stamped sentiment in bottom left corner.

Embossed the Kraft cardstock & a piece of TH core'dinations black cardstock with QuicKutz Jubilant embossing folder. Used the reverse of embossing side of the TH core'dinations black cardstock so the lines would pop more and be like telephone lines.

Popped the Telephone on card using foam adhesive.
