Grad Hat Shaped Card

Created this Clean & Simple CAS Graduation Hat shaped card. Used Cricut cartridge Hello Kitty much to my surprise when I found a grad hat shaped card on it and I did not have to use my Gypsy to weld together pieces. Cut 2 of the shaped card and cut the yellow tassel off to attach to the grad hat. Stamped on grad hat Paper Smooches Bold Buzzwords sentiment "congrats" using Delicate Golden Glitz ink. Used calligraphy to hand write the "2014" on tassel.

Created this card using Tim Holtz Distress Ink black soot on double embossing. Embossed D'Vine Swirl to resemble Bee Trail. Embossed Honeycomb. Background stamped the Lawn Fawn Bees, hearts & 'bee mine' sentiment.

Was going to enter this in the Mark's Finest Papers Tutorial Time Speedy TV Ch100 "Double Bugged" which is where the technique of the double embossing is shown but decided not to.

Used white cardstock for Honeycomb overlay background. Distressed the Honeycomb overlay background using Tim Holtz Distress Inks. Used Hero Arts happy birthday sentiment. Used Recollections stamps for stamped Bee, sentiment 'Queen Bee' and honeycomb. Added ribbon & bow.
